TWRP 2.8.6.0 and OpenGapps Aroma installer - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Anyone else having a problem with Aroma installer not working or locking up on install/flash in TWRP 2.8.6.0?
My Evo lte locks up and I'm forced to do a power cycle anytime I try this install method.

[Q] Unlocked bootloader, can't gain root?

Currently on hboot 2.09. I unlocked my bootloader but I seem to be unable to gain root access. I tried using the Universal HTC Toolkit to flash TWRP and flash superuser but that didn't work. I flashed TWRP 6.00 from fastboot since I know that TWRP flashes SuperSU when you reboot from it. Long story short, I still don't have root access. I got an app to check if I had root access and it said I did not. I've gone back into recovery, but whenever I try to reboot from recovery my phone freezes and reboots correctly, but doesn't check for superSU.
Anyone have any idea? Or have a superSU or superuser zip that I could flash so I could gain root?
Not sure about that TWRP version you're using since the most recent version is 2.7.x. At any rate the most recent version of SuperSU can be found in the link below. Download the zip and flash in recovery.

Can I use the most recent TWRP even if I'm still on hboot 2.09?
double edit: Thanks for the help!
Yes. You can get it from the TWRP website.

I assume now that I'm rooted I can just use the TWRP app? I can't use fastboot commands on my work computer, unfortunately.
You can flash it using the bootloader method. No PC required.
Not sure what app you're referring to. Goo Manager?

Updated TWRP 2.8.7 to TWRP 3.0.2 and lost ability to boot into TWRP

Hello,
I recently used the flash image portion of TWRP 2.8.7.? to update to TWRP 3.0.2 for my jfltevzw I545VRUAMDK phone. After reboot, it wouldn't go into recovery saying "SECURE BOOT: KERNEL" in the upper left and a warning about “System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found on your phone.”
I've tried DD'n new supposedly loki'd recoveries directly, with no luck.
Also tried TWRP Manager and ROM Manager.
Also flashed back a copy of 2.8.7 via ODIN.
Any ideas how I can get this unlocked and booting back into TWRP?
I have the exact same issue... What's your selinux status?

I tried that, no luck. I ended up flashing back to stock, re-rooting, re-loki'n and flashed 3.0.2. with no problems.

CM13 and Xposed.. Need some help

No matter what I do Xposed doesn't install properly. It shows the latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot.
I flashed this rom correctly with twrp. (3.0.2-2)
Bootloader is unlocked.
Flashed supersu along with lazyflasher using this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_P7Qd3kpAI)
Root access is obviously there.
I made sure system was mounted in twrp and flashed the latest version of the framework from here http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/ and installed the apk from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEJKJ0owpto (the apk is in the description)
and it still shows the latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot. I cant mount any applications in Xposed nothing works.
Can somebody tell me step by step what I have to do to get this working?
Thank you.
Try to flash xposed with alka recovery twrp(cofface)

Anyone else having issues with MIUI 7.6.15, twrp + supersu or magisk

for some reason whenever I flash supersu or Magisk the phone just hangs at the MI logo with 7.6.15 global beta rom, I do the same flash method every time and this is the first time it has happened..
try 1
zcx twrp, flash 7.6.15, flash supersu, reboot and it doesnt boot
try 2
zcx twrp, flash 7.6.15, flash magisk, reboot and it doesnt boot
try 3
zcx twrp, flash 7.6.15, reboot, -boots fine
edit:
try 4 .
zcx twrp, flash 7.6.15, flash just supersu 2.82, reboot and it boots, so now I can say it has something to do with Magisk or Xposed
so I might now try to flash Magisk, but run the xposed uninstaller incase the magisk.img image still carries xposed module from previous installs this way I can narrow it down from xposed or magisk
I'm having the same issue. I try to flash Super SU after flashing MIUI 7.6.15 and I also try to flash Xposed but it hangs on the Mi logo and won't boot properly. If I hols the power button down for ten seconds to turn the phone off and then get to recovery mode by holding down the volume up button with the power button I can reflash MIUI and it works fine on its own. Wonder is it a Super SU issue? Might try an older version of MIUI....
Same issue, tried everything. :'(
Magisk and zcx super su working but not xppsed niether systemless nor solarwarez editon.
+1
just updated my phone via zcw twrp. su and magisk works fine, only xposed got me stuck at the logo.
No problem with magisk v12, boot normal
Problem with xposed v87, stuck in logo
now back to v7.6.7, and waiting for FIX
Flashed v87.1 xposed
Worked
