All i can say is that windows7 isn't completely ported yet to hd2 (as far as i know).
Be aware that running win7 take a lot of resources too especially now when its not stable yet so playing games on it would be a pain i guess.
Im pretty up for games myself but i don't think i ever saw a single win7 game for hd2 in my search... and believe me i search a lot ;p
I search a lot too. I don't think I seen one single game on WP7 for HD2. All I see on HD2 is WP7 and give a brief tour, that all.

EDIT: found Wolf 3D in Market, but, it is buggy with controls and all.
the major issue about this is that you cannot port a game engine without its source code. most companies (more than 99 percent of them) do not release it so you are mainly screwed. BUT! id software always does this, and you cannot play not wolf, not doom, not quake, but QUAKE 3 ARENA on your streak! http://www.quake3droid.com/
@besony: have you check if any of these are available on emulators?
For pc games, it's very unlikely they will be ported naturally, although the Quake engine has been ported over, so you might be able to get these to work.
Prince has been emulated on multiple other systems, including Amiga, IIRC.

Do you guys know of any games that can be played with other android phones at a leisurely pace? On that I have in mind is Words with Friends (and similar games). I'm looking for something that I can play with a friend of mine, but that we can but down for a while and then pick back up whenever one of us has a free minute.

Try searching "ShipCombat Multiplayer". It's basically like battleship and you're able to sync it with facebook as well.
There's an MMO called "Pocket Legends" as well, if that's the kind of game you're into. "Dungeon Defenders" is similar as well.
Not to mention all the RPG style games like iMobster available on the market.
"Chess Online" lets you play games with people around the world also.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I feel like the Market needs more slow-paced multiplayer games. I'm personally waiting for them to port Hanging with Friends.
