[Q] Strange battery problem LG G2 mini - LG G2 Mini

I bought this phone a year ago. While charging, my phone's always stock up to 98%. But then, I turned off my phone then removed the batt, and wait for a few mins. After that, I turned on my phone then suddenly the batt percentage is 100%. This happened trice. First, I plugged my phone before going to sleep, then when I woke up, the batt is 98%. I waited for more than 15 mins, but it's stock at 98%. Then the 2nd and 3rd time, I watch my phone while charging. Same to what happened the first time. I think the problem is not the batt, but the phone. Bc my batt is working well, it does not drain fast. Help me pls. Thank you in advance.

Honestly, I don't see what's the problem.
It just doesn't update from 98 to 99.
Is that a problem?

Yes, maybe? Bc for me it's strange. Why is it always stock up to 98%?
Just recently, I turned off my phone then charged it. I didn't use it while charging. Then I checked it, 79%. I unplugged the charger, then when I plugged it again, it became 100%. I figured out, maybe the problem is the batt? But, my phone does not drain so fast. It's the same as before.

I guess something is wrong with the battery's built-in counter.

[Q] Battery never fully charges? Stuck at %95

Any one else run into this issue? I'll out it on charge over might and still have an orange light in the morning.
Running Energy stock, b6 kernel, with an banker battery.
turn off your phone charge it till its full... boot into recovery and delete your battery stats then check again and see if it goes past 95%
Cool, just checked it and it was finally at %96....this is about 2 hours after it was at %95...I just powered it off...let's see...
Nope, still %95 max. Battery drains relatively quick though that could be fault of the Rom....I dunno anymore.

[Q] Battery used up suddenly

hi,
I recently change from rom IC stock to JB stock (Spain). Every thing is fine except after working with phone for some time & battery used up to 25%, suddenlly the signal drops & phone shuts down. I cannot turn on the phone unless I plug in the charger where my battery is 0%. Also after flashing to JB, I wiped the data in recovery.
Phone is NOT root & battery is brand new.
Thanx

Did you create this topic immediately after putting it on charge or did you at least wait a hour or 2?

Yes, I know what happened you said so in your first post, My point was have you left it charging yet, for an hour or 2 and then tried to boot?

Actually I had the same problem with my old battery. I was advised to change the battery; with the brand new one, I left it charge fully to 100% for 6 hours as per instruction, then turn the phone on as the aforementioned problem occurred again. Again put it on charge for couple of hours to 100% charge then reboot the phone. Right now every thing looks Ok but I am worried why it happened with the new battery. is it the rom or the phone?

[Q] battery eats 20% every night

Hiya, that problem persists for few months. Before that everything was working fine and my battery could last for even 2 days! And soon, something happened... after that "something" my battery started to last for around 1 day :/
But here's another very annoying and strange thing. I usually turn my phone off. And, next day, when I turn my phone on, it has eated at least 20% of battery -_- So if I had 80% last night, I have 60% in morning. I had 4.1.2, now 4.2.2 android. I have wiped cache/data, resetted dalvik. Nothing changed, that problem still persists. Even if I bought new, additional battery :/
Install betterbatterystats, search on xda for it. It will monitor your wakelocks, read the OP of the thread on how to use it. Then, read in the betterbatterystats thread for solutions to your worst wakelocks.

Idk if it would help me... it still happens, when I have nothing installed on my phone. And, when I fully used my battery to 0% and charged it without turning phone on, it seems that 70% is "FULL battery" for the phone -_-
Tried a new battery? Borrow one from a friends s2 and see if the same thing happens. Could be the battery on the way out.

It was happening to my old, original battery, so I bought new one - still eats 20%.

But does it still only charge to 70%?
I am not sure with my 2nd battery, but gonna try to use it to 0% and charge. That original battery is surely ruined a bit.
Strangely, my phone sees 70% as full on my second battery as well :/
(and I was charging it while phone was off)
Hmm. I would guess hardware. But I know nothing about hardware sorry... @keithross39 any ideas on this one?

If your phone shows weird percentages, you might try to wipe the battery stats with cwm recovery (in the advanced section)..
Have you tried airplane mode at night? My device looses 4% then..
Good luck!
PS: My battery never lasts longer than one day. High usage and display brightness drain my battery mostly. I don't remember when it survived two days..
Try calibrating it, it sounds like a fuel gauge (plus a twist).
It could be your charger as well.
I don't think this is a hardware issue. Keith might tho.

Airplane doesn't help much, my phone dies after 1 day even when I use it only to write few SMSes only :/ And I heard that wiping battery stats is a myth and doesn't help much. But, I had not that problem for some time, then it happened again and I don't know why.
How should I calibrate it, then?
Let it discharge till it goes off.
Charge it (while off) full.
Take your battery out for 90 sec.
Put it back.
Power on.
You' ve got nothing to lose.

[Q] Battery discharging very fast

First of all, hello all!
I own a Galaxy Y, which I haven't used since an year, because of a problem that had developed then, until now when I wanted to use it again.
The problem is the following, with some information about the phone itself.
I had rooted the phone earlier, and put in a custom ROM called Jelly Blast v2.0. Later one day, the phone's battery died overnight, and then it discharged really fast, like 3% in 1 minute. So I flashed the stock ROM with Odin, and unrooted the phone. The problem persisted. Whenever I charged the phone, it became hot like hell, and charged 1% in 10 minutes or so. Then I stopped using it, until now. I checked the battery with a multimeter, and it showed 0.00v, that is fully discharged. So I grabbed a cut-off USB cable, plugged it into my PC, and charged the battery up to 3.66v ghetto style. I made sure the battery did not even warm up, for caution, while doing this.
Plugging it into my phone, it showed 1% charge. It charges really slow, and discharges extremely fast. I know the problem is not with the battery, since I had it changed and it showed the same symptoms.
I don't know what's going wrong, but I don't think it is the hardware. The problem should be in the software. Earlier, i had resetted it in CWM, and removed cache. Also, I had removed the battery stats. I don't know if that is the problem. Currently it is running Hyperion v9 Final ROM, with stock kernel I think.
So what should I do? Please help.

LG V30+ Battery Not charging up to 100%

Hi
I got this new LG V30+ (India version) few days ago. Been very satisfied overall. Great battery life.
However, I have noticed this issue with (wired) battery charging and its is kinda worrying
The very first time i charged, the battery charged all the way up to 100%. The next time (of overnight charging), i found the battery showed only 97% in the morning. Today morning, after the third overnight charging, the battery shows only 95% in the morning.
I found that if i simply unplug the charger cable and plug in again, the charging goes beyond 95% and does reach 100%
What is going on? should i be worried? (100 --> 97 --> 95 --> ??? ) Why is the max overnight charging level keep decreasing? (I'm using the stock charger and cable that came with the phone)
Thanks
Try to calibrate the battery.
This is most likely to prevent overcharging the battery.
It goes up to 100%, stops, waits till it drops to like 95% or so, and then it will charge again.
Even though this process shouldnt be visible to you (every manufacturer does that for years already), and it should always show you 100%, which is a bit weird lol
But maybe LG just handles this differently. Even though i didnt notice this on my V30. Which firmware version are you having?

V10c-IND-XX - thats the firmware... I guess?
Same issue
I am facing the same issue. My LG V30+ wont charge over 85% when charged overnight. Have to unplug usb and put it back then it goes to 100%.
Did you find the fix ?
Nope. Didn't find any "fix" till now.
The problem seems to be kind of intermittent though - on some days (of overnight charging), it does charge to 100%, most days it doesn't.
This is with wired charging.
I also happened to notice that during the nights i leave it on the wireless charging, it goes all the way to 100%.
Any solution? I'm having the problem...like exactly mentioned by you

I've tried downgrading to oreo and updating back to pie as well.
Please lemme know if u have got any solution.
Thanks in advance
I had similar problem. Changed the LG Charger to another Qualcomm certified fast charger and cable, issue got resolved. Hope this helps.
