Has anyone tried CPU Tuner (https://market.android.com/details?id=ch.amana.android.cputuner&feature=search_result) yet to see whether it improves battery life?
For example, when playing a game like Angry Birds, it looks like the CPU scales up to full speed (1.2Ghz) even though only a small percentage of that CPU power is used. CPU Tuner allows you to set a maximum CPU speed, and Angry Birds seems to run equally well with the maximum speed set to 800Mhz. I guess the processor running at full speed could explain why some people are complaining about the battery draining faster than expected and the phone getting hot while playing games, so maybe CPU Tuner can help a bit here?
I've only done a few quick tests by quickly switching between Angry Birds and Elixer to view CPU speed & usage (does anyone know a better tool that can generate a full CPU graph)? I haven't played long enough to see whether it has any effect on battery life. CPU Tuner seems to limit CPU speed correctly on the S2; for now I've disabled profile support in CPU Tuner settings to prevent it from starting up automatically during boot (just in case it causes any problems).
When my battery level reaches 10% the screen brightness is reduced to virtually nothing, I can barely see the screen in sunlight. Playing around in the display or power options doesn't change the brightness level. How to I disable this function so that I can manage the brightness myself? Thanks!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Increase the brightness in battery saving mode. Your battery saving mode is set to start at 10 % battery and probably reduces your brightness close to 0. Either increase the brightness or just shut down battery saving mode completely and use the brightness settings you want.
Thanks, but the thing is that power saving mode was not enabled (never used it) before I reached <10% battery. I enabled it then thinking it was the cause of the low screen brightness, but even with it and setting the power saving brightness to 30% the screen still stayed very dark.
Any idea what else it could be. I've only once had it at <10% but if it happens again I'd like to be able to use the phone according to my settings.
Hi
I have samsung galaxy s8 active. And I've been really hot place sometimes. And when ambient temperature height(52 centigrade temperature for s8 active), all applications in the devices close automatically and screen goes sleep mode. Can I change that temperature interval in rooted phone programatically or hacking the phone system files?
Is there any way or app to allow interval heart rate monitoring ? Continuous drains the battery & gives too much data. My MiBand can be set to measure the heart rate at settable intervals - eg every 15 mins. Would this be possible with the Pace ?
Under battery setting it shows "Greenify has high background battery usage".
