what do you mean by "loosing contact"? like, sometimes the phone sees it and sometimes it doesn't? if this is the case, then something must be wrong with either the sd card or the phone's slot.. i don't have any simmilar problem, even though i dumped my phone into water once also, have you tried formatting the sd card? (try NTFS and FAT32)

[Q] SD Card Keeps Corrupting

Well today i rebooted my phone and after it turned back on, it told me my SD card was damaged and needed reformat. I insert it into a computer and it couldn't read the card. So i reformat it.
After copying my music and maps, it corrupted twice more!
I'm trying to figure out if it's my phone or SD card dying. Been having problems with signal loss with my phone lately also [sort of confirmed to be a phone problem]
SD card is a Generic 16GB Class 2 [Came with the phone out of the box]
Thanks,
Tim

I had the same problem with a 8gb Kingston class 4 card. I couldn't trust it if my life depended on it. Bought a new card, never had a problem since. If you have any other cards laying around, try using one of those first, or maybe you can get one from a friend. If they work fine, then just buy a new card as you will know your phone is ok.
Signal loss does happen, but I don't think it would be any way related to your memory card.
Yeah i have a 8GB Lexor Class 4 card lying around, just seems like so little space. I'll try that first though. Maybe i could get Rogers to just give me a replacement SD card... yeah...
Signal loss, it just happens around once every other day, dropped calls, no service for a second or so and comes back on. Even when i just leave it on the table on speakerphone it drops [areas with decent signal]. It's not with the network, it's most likely with the phone [talked to tech support] as i think i've told you before
But yeah i know it's not related to the memory card issue, was just an actual issue with the phone -_-"

Little space or not, try it out before you purchase a 16gb or 32gb card and realize your phone is messed right?
However, I think you will find the lexor card will be ok and your phone is fine

[Q] Sandisk 64gb micro sd?

Is it compatible with the atrix 4g? I am running paranoid android 1.6 (like cm9). I have read about some one who it worked for them and one who didn't.
I've read that 64GB cards will work, but you have to format it in the phone after you install it in order to make it work. (The cards are preformatted with exFAT, which the Atrix does not recognize or support.)

Thanks But how do i format it?
the 64gb sandisk works great in my atrix (59.36GB usable) and MJPollard is spot on that you will need to switch it to fat32.

For important thing you should have a backup
Was working, has gotten glitchy
I have a 64Gb Sandisk sdxc that I've been using for about eleven months. Sent the phone back to Moto for some repairs, and it came back with the exact same software load (all current) that it went in with, as best I can see.
But the card was recognized without any problems before. Now, the phone keeps complaining that the sdxc card is FULL even though there are almost 5GB free on it. There were maybe 10GB free before it went in, I loaded more onto it this time.
So something is not quite right, perhaps the Atrix can't quite count to 64GB.
And of course my computer, which has an SDHC card slot, does not recognize SDXC cards above 32GB. I'll be getting a USB adapter to deal with that.
Very odd how the Atrix keeps complaining, yet recognizes everything on the card.

SD Card issue

Is anyone else having the issue where the SD Card randomly unmounts itself and then remounts? I have already wiped and reformatted the card with the Note2 but the issue is still present. any solutions or answers?
I have the Tmobile version, but I have the same issue. I even did a full format of the card on my pc, but it made no difference. The card sort of works, but sometimes instead of the 'preparing sd card' I get the 'blank or unrecognized file system', and then I have to wait for the phone to go to sleep. It will usually wake up and recognize the card then, but all links to files on the card are broken. FYI, my card is a SanDisk 32GB Class 4. I tried an older 8GB card and did not have the issue, but then again, my 32GB card worked for a month with no issues. Very perplexed.

I have a Sandisk Ultra 32GB card. I only have music on it which I've only tested out a couple times, but never had this issue pop up at any point. Perhaps it is the format of the card? I do not remember reformatting mine before putting stuff on it. If you can, try testing another card or putting yours in another device to see if it's the card itself.
I had a 32GB Class 6 Sandisk Ultra, which was also used and worked perfectly in my GS3.
I went to my verizon store had my phone replaced.. threw the SD card back in, and it still had the issue. Put a normal 16 GB SD card in it, haven't had the issue yet. So I guess somewhere in the process of switching between my GS3 and the Note2 the card somehow got corrupted or broke??
Looks like I'll be buying a 64GB class 10 card soon lol

Did S3 fry my sd card?

I had a SanDisk Ultra 64g sd card in my s3 for about 8 months, and yesterday it suddenly stopped recognising it. I formatted it with the phone, still the same. I tried to format it with my pc and it's still broken.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?
Yes there is some error with SanDisk cards. They have even released fixed cards. Ur card must be class 10 card.
Just call their customer care. They will get your card replaced.

Memory card error

I have a 64gb class 10 Kingston sd card.
Sometimes I get an sd card error.
It can work for days without errors or I get an error per day.
After rebooting my phone the sd card works again.
Is there something wrong with the sd card or the phone?

ive had the same problem to a point it corrupted my sd card
honor knows its a bug yet refuse to notice it
will guess your on marshmallow?
Before i updated to MM i had a 32gb class 10 and had no problem with it. Upgraded to MM to find that it would constantly reject my card stating that it is corrupt even after various formats and even a factory reset. Replaced it with a 64gb card of the same make and speed and never had a problem so far. I placed the 32gb card in my tesco hudl tablet and its never caused a problem so far. I'm guessing the phone was just being a bit picky with what card i used.
Which brand sd card are you using now?
And yes, using MM.

Stick to Samsung or SanDisk. Don't want any other brand and never had a single problem with any (many) device.
