Version of phone is:
LG G2 mini D620r
Android version: 5.0.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0+
Build number: LRX22G
Software version: V20b-EUR-xx
Can anyone tell me what should I do, since I'm absplute beginner in stuff like this.

Patched aboot must be in phone memory(no sd card) and command must be written(or better pasted) correct.

Of course, I know that much.
But internal storage is /sdcard, and path to external storage is /storage/external_SD. So that isn't the cause of my problem. Only if instructions in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61175907 are incorrect.
And I'm sure that precision of my typing isn't cause of the problem. I typed it so many times that I must've got it right at least once.

Try replacing /sdcard with /storage/emulated/0
EDIT: dd doesn't seem to work with symlinks. /sdcard is a symlink to /storage/emulated/0 . Thus, targeting /sdcard doesn't work.

Ok, I'll try that and report with the results.
EDIT: Thanks a bunch Vagelis1608! It worked like a charm!

I have placed the file in my phone storage - not SD card as instructed.
Tried to input this
dd if=/sdcard/aboot_d620r_20a_patched.bin of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
This comes up with no such file or directory
So i have tried inputting this as per above instructions
dd if=/storage/emulated/0/aboot_d620r_20a_patched.bin of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
and still the same message - no such file or directory
Can someone please help? where am i going wrong

Just had the same issue and needed to replace /storage/emulated/0 with /storage/external_SD
Apparently on some phones this path is used.

LG LGL75C (Optimus Zip)

Hello everyone.
Forward
Originally, I was going to flash my Droid X2's MEID to my LG OpZip's MEID and use the X2, but found out when I got home, it had to be unactivated, and I was already activated, so that plan went down the drain. I've spent the last, oh, 2 or 3 days trying to root, install a custom rom, and expand my internal storage to no avail. After doing alot of research on the issue in regards to rooting it, I found (on another site I think) that my sw version is not the same as the other OpZip's that have been rooted, and to all of my research, I cannot seem to find anything that matches my model and sw version.
Phone Information
Phone: LG Optimus Zip
Model: LGL75C
SW Version: LGL75CV1
Android Version: 2.3.4
Provider: Straight Talk (Verizon towers)
Things I've Tried
Super One Click
ADB
LG Optimus Zip One Click (different sw version)
Alright, now for the part I need assistance with... Does anyone know a root method for this phone? Are there any custom ROM's that are compatible, or am I overthinking it, and should assume most are compatible?
I look forward to any and all responses, and thanks in advance.
Ori
Bump. Don't generally like doing that, but I'm desperate to find an answer.

I'll second that bump. The model of this phone is VS700 - But many report that root attempts are unsuccessful because of the SW version.
Interestingly enough, when trying to use LG update software on my PC, it says the LGL75CV1 is indeed on the supported device list for updates, however when the LG software tries to read the SW Version from my phone, it says ERROR. I call up LG, they say all updates should be done through Tracphone.
Is there something different about the file system? are developers somehow locked out of this? Any update would be great. The phone has potential, alot of potential. Lets get it rooted guys!
bump
a friend of mine has this phone with this sw version (lgl75cv1) and is chomping at the bit for me to get it rooted for him. if anyone, anyone at all, has any info please speak up.
thanks guys
I was able to root this phone today easily using this thread referred by a user at another forum.
I can't post a link but the instructions are at androidforums under a thread called "Finally rooted M865c for Straight Talk"
It works fine for the LG Zip LGL75C 2.3.4
It was a very simple process. I am now looking for a way to install a clockworkmod recovery on the phone to make a backup. Anyone have any insight on how to install the correct CWM please advise.
LGL75c Optimus Zip
Everywhere i look it says this phone cannot be rooted because it has a locked bootloader. I even went as far as paying root android for the software which they assured me would root this phone. It failed miserably.
I am looking for anything that will help me root this phone as I want to tether the 3g to my nexus 7 tablet, to have internet wherever I go with my tablet.
How to root LGL75C
I just managed to root my LGL75C (provided by Straight Talk).
Download 2 files:
Poot .apk: sharesend. com/qe9jl6ij
Ministroll .apk: sharesend. com/8orgvw4r
EDIT: Since I'm a new user, this forums board won't let me link to the apk files. Sorry :\
Step 1:
Download the Poot-debug.apk and Minstro-ii.apk and place the 2 files in the root of Your SDCARD.
Or put both files somewhere on /sdcard and open the files via file manager/explorer.
Step 3:
Install both the Poot-debug.apk and ministro-ii.apk. (You will need to make sure that you have enabled "Unknown Sources" under the application settings menu of your phone before you will be able to install these apks.)
Step 4:
After both apks are installed open Poot. It will open up ministro-ii and download quite a few libraries that are necessary for the Poot to work. Once it has completed click the button that says, "Press here to poot", and hope for the best.
Step 5:
Pay attention the the messages displayed on the screen. Most messages should start with a
, but you should see a couple of [-].
As long as the only warning messages you receive are the following, you should have successfully rooted.
Code:
[-]current && current != last + 1: 0000ffff 0000ffff
[-]Haxx has run its coarse. Reboot the device to play again
A demon materialized while pooting. Error code: 64
You will receive these messages because Poot does not recognize the M865c kernel and is unable to clean things up without rebooting.
Again, the three warnings listed above are nothing to worry about.
Step 6:
Reboot your phone to save changes and allow the exploit to take effect.
Step 7:
Open Poot and click on the button that says Built-in rootcheck to verify that your phone is rooted. As long as Poot is able to find 'su,' and it will display its path along with a corresponding message stating success.
Step 8:
You'll probably want to download/install a Superuser app from the App Store/Google Play store, so you can give other apps su privs.

Help! I have NO experience with this stuff. I used this method, but after I pressed "Press here to poot" I go the messages "[-] didn't find symbols" and "A demon materialzed while pooting. Error code: 20 su binary was not written." Huh? I tried rebooting and then pressing "Build-in rootcheck," but the message I got back was:
Path is:
"/sbin:/vendor/bin:/system/sbin:/system/bin:/system/xbin"
no su was found in $PATH
Any idea what this means? I'm so clueless.

[SO-03E] is it possible to flash SGP321 firmware, and unlock bootloader?

Hi
I have a SO-03E which is currently running 10.1.E.0.265.
As there is no root available for this version.
I am wondering if it is possible that
1. Flash FTF of SGP321 (knowing that the internal storage will be "shrinked" to 16GB)
2. Root and Unlook booloader
3. Install CWM
4. Flash via CWM back to 10.1.E.0.244 (will the internal storage be "expanded" back to 32GB?)
5. Root again (guess the Simlock will be gone)
Any comment?

Ran unlock tool, got super user, then what?
Sony XTZ (Jap Docomo version SO-03E) with stock FW .269
I have run the installer (with few errors, but generally appearing to be successful) and have been given superuser access. I However do not see any other changes to the tablet.
In the service code menu I still see that bootloader unlock = no
What is the next step towards installing a recovery and/or custom firmware? The fastboot flash still doesn't allow access to input the unlock code from Sony. Cant seem to find a what to flash an image to the device.
Perhaps this is a noob question and I am not experienced enough with the android superuser app, but if I am having trouble, odds are many other are too.
Many thanks to any who can help,

[Q] XT1528-Verizon

General info:
There will be a lot of discussion, do not follow untested tuts in this thread. It could cause you to brick your phone into a Cool paperweight.
AS OF 9/1/2015
XT1528-Surnia_Verizon
Board- MSM8916
Bootloader-NOT UNLOCKABLE!- EVEN IF YOU GO THROUGH MOTO'S WEBSITE (Verizon Locked it, not moto. & verizon cant unlock it) Viewable by booting into recovery & reading the screen.
Android 5.0.2-armv7l-240 DPI
Updated to 5.1
200MHz-1.21GHz quad core-Qualcomm Snapdragon 400/410
Root- No Write/full access-Cant seem to uninstall system apps on Android 5.0?/5.1
Screenshot: Attached at bottom of KINGROOT APK(4.5) via One click root method working on my updated 5.1 lolipop xt1528.
KingRoot does not root your device, just allows for removal of pre installed software via kinguser. After uninstalling, it crashed my Google launcher app & was fixed via rebooting which caused my system to have to re-optimize all apps which took 5 minuets. Root access is denied. Autostart manager works
Unrootable, Locked bootloader, but excellent capability. I love 5.1 better. I wouldnt recommend this device for anonymous browsing (I like to use Tor as a VPN), torrenting, or sharing. But I love the battery (lasts all day without heavy gaming use), phone calls & txts, Browsing the web is good too. I love being able to take out my phone and say "Ok Google" to vocally search or open things (like cortana) and my phone talk back. As well as the easy-to Use feeling comes if you've expierienced 5.0 before, a little confusing if you've been stuck on <4.0.I feel comfortable with it & it fits in my pocket pretty well. I don't know how much radiation it throws off... I say 7/10 overall. No xposed, if your lucky to rebuild the APK & patch it you can do it.. 4g is awesome! & I'm happy I didn't go with a free phone. Although, i'll be getting one soon to play with.
Thank you, Thanks for reading, & Have a wonderful day! (ALL Useful info & credits to who said it will be added via a reserved spot below.)
LATEST Answers :SU-ME didnt work for me on 5.0, and even though KingRoot said i had root access, It wouldnt give it to anything or allow write access.... Also, I attempted to root 5.1 off the v4.1 apk. It said root strategy available-Gave me (nothing past words)root access-But caused a bunch of apps to continuously crash. (I'll try it again once i go through my dev settings, i also factory wiped it earlier). It said i could remove system apps, It couldnt though. I used the auto-start manager too (we'll see if that stuck). (pics below) Also, Anyone who provides any testing will get thanked & a name below.

Yep it is possible to root.
First download supersu.zip here-
https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU
Now install custom recovery on your device using adb and fastboot. (TWRP is preferred coz many reported cwn not working)
Once twrp is installed boot in recovery.
Then tap install and select the supersu.zip where u downloaded it.
Just flash it and tada!!
Reboot in system and your moto e with lollipop is rooted.
I rooted by same method.
#peace and hope it helped you.
The hardest part is unlocking the bootloader. Without that, it's impossible to root.
I wish I had seen this thread before I picked up this phone today. :/
As I did pick one up as something to play with and not necessarily just for custom roms, I'm not immediately returning it, but it's a strong possibility.

I don't understand the recovery mode for this phone, I'm used to 4.0.4 lol. I'm not sure either. I thought I broke my system when I tried to adb flash twrp & found out you can't shut your phone off when its in recovery mode. (Also, you can't flash without unlocking the bootloader) DUH right?

You can't flash without an unlocked bootloader. The XT1528 isn't supported by Motorola for unlocking because its a Verizon phone. Verizon doesn't like giving out codes, and wouldn't even if you asked. I think unless someone can Dev the crap outta it, We're screwed XT1528 wise. But, I don't know much about anything lol. I'm still learning.

this is not possible on verizon version xt1528. bootloader is unlockable. will need an android 5 vulnerability to gain root which is the best the verizon version will ever get.
Most likely way to root this phone would be to use an app that has a Lollipop exploit, but they're getting harder according to this article:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...ew-modified-kernels-may-become-a-requirement/
Okay so now I have gone and picked up the AT&T XT 1527 version. I now have a XT 1528 I can test with. Question, should I go ahead and root the XT 1527? I am thinking about wiping everything off Verizon phone and installing Fedora on it, but if there are other suggesting, I now have a test sled that can be used. I am open to suggestions with the verizon phone, let me know what you all think.

Thanks for reporting root worked on your moto e, this is fairly new, Im waiting to see if others can repeat it, and whether it really does work. Have you tried some other apps that require root to see if they actually work with root?
For your specific /system/build.prop issue, some roms write that file from another location, /etc/build.prop or some other similar paths, so maybe need to find that file. Also you have to remount /system as read-write, assuming this worked otherwise there would be an error right away.
Usually I edit /system/build.prop files manually with terminal emulator app, then type these commands:
su (proper root needed)
mount -o rw,remount /system/build.prop
vi /system/build.prop ( may need to install busybox app)

Messi got you covered.
Personally I would recommend against rooting right now. There isn't much to be done with the Aristo at this point in time except to make backups of your system. Most you'll end up doing is learning a few things about why mixing system based and systemless mods can lead to pretty unpredictable results.

This is exactly what I've wanted to do - preferably by having direct rw access to the flash, like I did on my old phone. Unfortunately the only viable custom recovery procedure right now (messi2050's) involves wiping the userdata partition (unless you somehow happen to have an unlocked bootloader). To make matters worse the userdata partition is encrypted AFAIK. Surely the keys are stored on the phone somewhere but there wouldn't be a way to get them without some exploit, and I don't know if this phone is popular enough for someone to bother researching and publishing an exploit.
There was some progress here (github.com/Lekensteyn/lglaf) on reversing and exploiting LG's LAF protocol in their recovery OS, but it hasn't been updated for more than a year now. If anyone wants to play around with that code, be sure to read this issue (github.com/Lekensteyn/lglaf/issues/7) which has ongoing attempts at reversing LAF's current auth methods. I don't have the time right now to dive into this unfortunately.

Power your phone off.
Hold VOL DOWN WHILE PLUGGING DEVICE INTO COMPUTER WITH USB - this will bring it to the fastboot screen. If you have all drivers installed then you can simply open a cmd window and type "fastboot oem unlock" - which should unlock the bootloader - if all drivers are installed. Then continue with the tutorial as usual.
Is root worth it
So, I have an LG ms210 (Lg Aristo) that I've own for a little over 3 months now, but i have been experiencing this issue since about 1 week into ownership. The phone seams to have a RAM leak or something similar as about every hour it slows down substantially, usually to the point of freezing, or crashing all together and restarting on its own, even if not being touched since I power it on. Ive been thinking about rooting it to debloat, but im not sure if it will help, or if i should just invest in a new handset. I have since factory reset it, deleting more high-resource apps, and leaving it bare-bones system apps and nothing else, but the problem still persists. The carrier i MetroPCS if thats a factor, but i dont see why it would be. Any thoughts?
Rooted mine! Thanks to the modified twrp. I couldn't get into it for alost a week, then had a system update that rebooted me right to it, still had the super su zip in sd card so i flashed it and the no verity zip THANKS OP!!??

If you still have trouble reaching recovery after this, either download an advanced shutdown prompt from the market. (There's one literally called advanced reboot) or you can download a terminal emulator app and use the reboot recovery command with root.

I did that already, im trying to get xposed up and running but my model #lvl3 doesnt match what is in the terminal in twrp. I still get a weird error ph4u
Most likely shows as the lg stylo 2 plus as I guess your using the lineage backup. So just use the model of the lg stylo 2 in terminal? Guessing as I don't use xposed. What do you use xposed for?
To get it running on the aristo is to either edit build prop values to match the ms210 model, or remove the device requirements from xposed's update binary.
failed remote cannot flash this partition in unlocked state.
Anyone?
can some walk me thru this idk what im doing wrong but i go into adb i reboot bootloader and when i try to fastboot oem unlock it says device not found what am i doing wrong?
question
does this root works for lg ms210 security patch level jan 1 2018?
I believe the root is just twrp so it should work fine. Just update first then follow the steps for flashing twrp and the most recent magisk and probably dm verity thing. If something fails it can be eaily reflashed with the original firmware with correct software and the firmware image/kdz.
Edit: try to reinstall the lg drivers? Also a try a tool called minimal adb and fastboot here
Help. It just staus on "" waiting for device " with oem unlock step
Before rooting your phone , it is necessary to backup data for your phone .

[GUIDE][HOW TO][A2017G] REMOVE "unlocked bootloader screen" at boot

READ THE WHOLE THREAD BEFORE CONTINUING or FLASHING THE ZIP ! AS THIS ONLY WORKS DESCENT FOR G VERSION , I ONLY RECOMMEND TO DO SO ! USING IT ON A U-VERSION (B19/B25) MIGHT BRICK YOUR PHONE. ALSO TESTED & WORKING ON Project New World (Oreo) on G VERSION
I am not responsible for damaging/bricking your phone or other related stuff…DO MAKE A FULL BACKUP !
ONLY FOR A2017G & also on A2017G B32 Oreo PNW
DON'T USE ON B13 (MF5.0) BECAUSE IT DOES NOT WORK !!! Tested it myself.
Only to use whether flashed Universal B15 (or B32 on PNW) or Stock Bootloaders before.
Don't use on encrypted phones and remove security pattern before flash
Always backup your data. In case you have to format data you'll have a spare one to restore
EDIT : made a flashable zip : Remove Bootloader Unlock Warning on Axon 7G : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291698596
As @Choose an username... asked to bring this to your attention again hereby a fairly easy and safe method to get rid of that annoying "unlocked bootloader" warning.
I did mentioned this before in the earlier days but perhaps its usefull to post it again. And if you're planning to stay a while on your rom this might help to have a clean boot.
I performed this steps often on my G and imo are safe to do.
So, take a look HERE
Prepare with necessary files (if you already haven't from before )
( Be on twrp 3.1.1.0 (3.2.1.0) )
Just perform steps 6 to 14 again (NOTE ! : If you get a permissions denied issue, try doing these steps while your device is in TWRP )
After that just type "fastboot reboot" and you should have a clean boot.
-------------------------------------------------
B) Unlock the bootloader
Q: Why do I need to unlock the bootloader?
A: With an unlocked bootloader, you can install custom ROMs.
1) Go to https://mega.nz/#F!rcFCQZ7C!vn457hU1zDwc0uVpvm5otw and download the aboot.img file from there (1024Kb). Put it in the same folder you used in the previous process
2) Download this file: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862665656
3) Unzip the file and copy/cut the file called "fastboot_unlock.img"
4) Paste that file in the folder where "adb.exe", "axon7tool.exe", "recovery.img", "recovery.bin" and "aboot.img" are located
5) If there's none open, open a new command window in that folder again (Shift + right-click and "open command window here")
6) Type "adb push aboot.img /sdcard/" and hit enter
7) Type "adb push fastboot_unlock.img /sdcard/" and hit enter
8) Type "adb shell dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/fbop of=/sdcard/fbop_lock.img" and hit enter
9) Type "adb shell dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/aboot of=/sdcard/aboot_lock.img" and hit enter
10) Type "adb pull /sdcard/fbop_lock.img" and hit enter
11) Type "adb pull /sdcard/aboot_lock.img" and hit enter
12) Type "adb shell dd if=/sdcard/fastboot_unlock.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/fbop" and hit enter
13) Type "adb shell dd if=/sdcard/aboot.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/aboot" and hit enter
14) Type "Adb reboot bootloader" and hit enter to go to the bootloader

Can we not create flashable ZIPs for this to save Time? Something with AROMA to choose the Specific Device Files would be cool or nah? Let Me know if there is interest on this. I could help with the Scripts...

Thnx for your reply.
But AFAIK this procedure might not work on the U version but not sure ( afaik no go on A2017). So therefore i just used the "known" familiar bootloader files.
But if it would work, so someone should test their specific files on U version, an AROMA zip would be interesting to make.
I can i you want but feel free to join in if A2017U and A2017 or good to go :good:
But then again we have to get some feedback on this.

First of all a happy new Year!
Think i will take a look on it in the next Days, would be cool if someone could test which Variants are supporting this. I see a flashable ZIP could be very useful for People who are switching the OS a lot of times (like i do). I own the G Version BTW.

At the boot hold the Vol-Button and Power. And now you cant see the Bootloader-Message. Otherwise flash this zip: http://www120.zippyshare.com/v/xYBio6uW/file.html
I dont know if its work on the A2017U oder A2017 Devices. But it works definitely on the A2017G.

Happy new Year too and best wishes to all here on XDA !
Yeah such a zip for all variants should be handy. A A2017U user should test this method.
Anyway on G it works.

This zip works on G version (not sure about other versions) but only when coming from Universal BL imo. When using the B13 bootstack f.e. like on Mifavor 5.0 this ZIP would not work imo. So be carefull flashing it. As said, when on Universal BL this should work.
Thanks !

And if i have stock B08/B09 bootloader, not the universal BL?
I cant say that. It works under a2017g. But...you can test it. And say me if its work for the a2017u or a2017. But i cant guarantee for anything. Sry.
Okay then in another way: which bootloader was installed before you flashed your linked zip?
I messed up my phone completely one time with this "removal" from the first thread a few month ago.
So a wanna get sure this works with stock bootloader and not only the universal bootloader.
I also have the A2017G.

If you're not sure about the zip he provided, just don't use it
Do the above steps in 1st post and you'll be good to go. It takes only a minute or so, just copy paste in adb
Tip : just boot your phone in twrp before you do the steps. So you'll be sure about permissions

Better use @raystef66 method to remove the message.
Owning a A2017G isn't the only prerequisite to flash this file; like already said it depends on bootloader version, device encryption and probably much more ...
As you said, flashing this sort of stuff is too hasardous. Just take a look at the thread concerning this remover; lot of users "bricked" their devices with this stuff.

Hi all,
we need a person to test the tool, which removes the unlocked bootloader screen.
It do what it should do, but main problem is the question, if the adb.exe, which is included, is working in this case.
Axon 7 2017G on nougat with unlocked BL info-screen and a windows pc without ADB are the only requirements.
Download the file and give a feedback pls.

Why can't this be made via a flashable zip? It would be much easier to use and you wouldn't have to rely on Windows behaving.
The only thing needed would be to test if ro.product.model=ZTE A2017G, I don't know if you can read from build.prop with a flashable zip but if possible that would be the best approach. That would be to test if your phone is actually a G, minimize problems. Also, if you have the Universal Bootloader all this would do is restore fastboot; it wouldn't brick a G with univ bl (Someone made a flashable zip with an old aboot a while back actually. It was meant for getting fastboot back. I think it doesn't work though).

It's indeed better to make an aroma zip for all devices. I'm actually looking into that right now. Hopefully with success. Come back to you when working on G in the first place.
A2017G & A2017U Remove Bootloader Unlock Warning
As the aboot and fastboot_unlock (from controllerboy thread) are the same in G & U (correct me if i'm wrong) this can be used on both models.
I've tested on my G and works flawless. Perhaps a U-user can test it out.

Don't think so because you used the universal B15 I suppose? Did those tests coming from that universal.
Can you not pattern afterwards?
