Spare parts? - LG G Watch

Anyone found any spare parts for the G Watch? I cant find them anywhere. I need a new rear battery door. The contact patches on mine are so worn now the watch has trouble making contact to charge. It was probably caused by corrosion due to the early firmware.

[Q] Replacement Lens housing/Battery Cover

Hey,
Does anyone know where i might be able to get a new one? I cracked the glass some time ago now and would like to get it replaced.
Also anyone know where i can obtain a new or refurbed battery cover as mine seems to be peeling.
Thanks,
Healy.
I got mine here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-GENUINE-HTC-HD2-BLACK-BACK-HOUSING-REPLACEMENT-/260655128116?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhoneAccessories_MobilePhoneFascias_JN&hash=item3cb0419e34
Delivery was quick and the parts seem to be the same as the orginal
Thats great! Did it take long to fit?
No, not too long maybe 30 mins or so.
You need some basic tools (T4 Torx driver and a case opener) you can buy what you need at the same place http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REPAIR-OPENING-TOOLS-KIT-PDA-MOBILE-PHONES-6-PCS-/110575259857?pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item19becc90d1
Then you'll need the first few minutes of video 1 here http://pocketnow.com/hardware-1/official-htc-hd2-disassembly-assembly-training-videos-leaked It's pretty straight forward, basically you take out the battery remove 4 screws, pry off the old cover, fit the new one and then reverse the process!
Just be careful of static, if you're not feeling confident you should be able to find a shop tp do this for you.
Hope this helps

Can someone confirm this is a LCD/digitizer issue?

Hey there, here is an image of my gf's phone (my old one!) which i recently dropped quite hard onto concrete from about 4ft high. As you can see it's slowly dying, the pink-ish band has been coming down gradually over the past 24 hours.
My plan is to find a replacement LCD/digitiser screen and fit it to the phone. Will I need a new glass cover also? Has anyone else ever seen this and successfully repaired it?
Thanks!

If I'm correct is a screen problem
Definitely the digitizer.....
that is broken. Bought a replacement on ebay, about 100 dollars. Came as one unit, front w/glass, digitizer and connector tool and screwdriver. Fairly easy to replace. Look at youtube videos. That helps.
Be sure you get the right one. My softkeys are erratic at times. Might be the versoin that is wrong.
Any confirmation om that will be appriciated w or wo any hints to correct that.
thanks guys, gonna look for a kit now. Does anyone know if I can buy a second phone with for example, bad motherboard, and lift the whole screen and stuff from that one?
my pack arrived today, but there's a big plastic thing same shape as the screen, but like a big sticker with different cut outs. Is this the digitizer? Do I have to break open the fresh front panel? All the guides I've seen suggest otherwise, but I can't figure out for the life of me where it goes :/
just in case anyone was wondering... i never used the sticker thing. I followed iFixit directions and the phone is good as new. a snazzy white/blue hybrid!

Took 2 years, but it finally snapped and corroded. Fixable?

I've been very careful with my watch and used it almost everyday (battery is still great!). The clips finally gave way on the same side and the charging points have almost corroded away completely on one side.
Is there an easy fix for this?
I'm guessing the case will have to be replaced to fix the clips, which is an annoying process from what I've seen. It's actually glued together.
Has anyone attempted this? Source for parts?
Another question to sate curiosity: If I only wanted to fix the corrosion issue how would I have gone about that?

Back cover curved??

Hi guys,
I have my z2 for a while now (2 years I think), and he has tried to beat down the floor sometimes and until now, hasn't been victorious.
So the thing is, after the last try, he has the back cover a little openned in the middle (I can see a little of the glue and can stick something between the cover and the phone), and also, has a little opening in the screen, just like the cover. After this, the buttons got a little strage too, need to press power and up too hard to work, down is ok.
I would like to now, if anyone has experienced that, and know what could it be, I haven't openned it yet as it need the adhesive to put the cover back and I don't have access to it in my city, have to order it online.
Thanks!!!
And sorry for the bad english.
It could be the battery swelling as its on it's last legs.
If it was mine I would remove the back cover to inspect the battery, before things got (possibly) much worse.
My Z2 is over two years old and the back cover started to lift adjacent to the charging port. The cause was the pcb spring contacts for the NFC antenna pushing against the cover, which I've subsequently remedied. The physical appearance and size of the battery is all good so I have no safety worries although it will need replacing simply due to its age and noticeable decrease in capacity.
The back cover was only raised about a millimetre but it was noticeable enough and annoying. There is no problem with screen separation.
If my problems were similar to yours I would immediately take off the back cover, remove the battery and fully inspect it for signs of swelling. A new rear gasket / seal is easier to remedy than a complete phone wrecked by a screwed battery.
Good luck :good:
I see, can I use it without the back cover?
Cause it would take something like 2 weeks to get the seal from internet.
Your problem is kind of like mine, but mine isn't in the nfc point, but in the battery point, just above her, I thought about it at first too, I'll see about it then! Tnks!
Google "Xperia Z2 teardown" and you will see that the battery occupies more-or-less the mid-to-lower part of the phone. If your screen and rear cover are bulging from the centre outwards then it *probably* is the battery swelling.
I removed my rear cover about 6 weeks ago and the gasket was mostly intact so after sorting the NFC contacts I just reattached it as-is. It's stayed in place so far, but I also have a CASE-MATE transparent polycarbonate rear cover that adds further protection.
Once I find a genuine Sony battery and replacement gasket at reasonable prices I will get them ordered. So far things are fine.
If you manage to keep the gasket intact like I did it should be fine to reattach the cover until you get a new one.
And even if your battery hasn't swelled it may also be worth replacing that too, considering it's 2 years old.
I see, I also use a case-mate to protect more, cant handle it without it, I guess I'll try to do it then, seriously? I thought that battery would last longer, I'll see into that, now it makes sense, the battery started to die faster a while ago, nice to know.
Thanks!
Just oppened it, It was the battery as discussed above. Thanks!
Now you know what the problem is its easy to sort it out.
Would be good if you post a pic of the battery.
Here it go:

Got pic from the the battery and the back curved.
Yeah it's obvious from the pics. I think you've caught it just in time.
A new gasket and battery and your Z2 will live maybe another 2 years :good:

Amazfit Pace back housing replacement

My Amazfit Pace is not charging any more because of the corrosion of the pins on the back of the housing. Already opened and verified that it is charging from the inside, but with the cover/housing it doesn't. Obviously cleaning the pins won't work any more, so looking for a replacement, but with no luck. I am very satisfied with my watch and don't want to replace, so if anyone has an info please give me a valid link. Thanks. This is what I am looking for...https://www.impextrom.com/en/black-battery-housing-for-smartwatch-xiaomi-amazfit-pace-a1612-p1000029718
Actually you don't need to replace the bottom housing, you can just fill the holes with some conductive material like silver glue.
Tried that didn't work. Also looking for a cleaner and lasting solution. Thanks
Hi ttherapon, did you find a solution (or a back housing somewhere)? I am having the same problem. It will still charge, but only if I put pressure on the watch. Every time i want to charge it i have to put it under something heavy, I guess it will only get worse ...
If filling/fixing the metallic contacts doesn't work, then the problem is inside the watch, maybe simply opening and cleaning any corrosion in the internal pins will fix the problem.
Did try opening it to clean with no success. Bought contuctive glue and see what happens
Anyone found any site or have back housing for the watch?i have the same problem with the pin one dont make contact inside the watch .
