Hi,
when I started this project i wanted to make an appstore for Windows Mobile where everyone can upload and download apps without paying anything.
Now thats the result:
Whats the idea of the XDA Market?
There is already an appstore for Windows Mobile (MS Marketplace) BUT you have to pay money in order to publish your apps.
So I started developing the XDA Market. Everything here is for free. I want to give developers the possibility to get much user and much feedback, without paying.
Developers
-Upload your own apps for everyone without paying anything.
-Everyone can access and download your app without the need of a registration.
-Publish updates through xda market: Be sure everyone will get them.
-Detailed download statistic.
[-Custom url feature.]
Users
-Browse through apps for your device.
-Rate, comment and download them.
-Favorite apps and never miss an update.
-Share apps you like with the rest of the world
Working on
-Rom hosting feature
-Windows Phone 7 client
-PC client

News
-Rom hosting feature will be added soon
!!Feel free to upload all freeware apps you found !!
The Download for the Client and much more can be found here:

Yea I will fix that Thats what's happening if you write english and think german at the same time
Very nice, I hope that this will fill up fast
EXCELLENT! IN your face Microsoft!
(no,no I still love u...)
This has been greatly anticipated for a long time, really glad it's finally up and running
Great idea to sort applications for specific phone
WOW, nice idea also for the PC-side application/managment!
I believe you will check the apps uploaded prior to publish the content (to have the "right" content only)
Tried to download the file, but got Error 404: File Not Found. Did the server crash already?
Thanks for what appears to be a great tool, can't wait for devs to take advantage of it

I will check the content but not prior. It would take too much time and i already got not much time but i will add a "Checked" text to a app so you can see if this app is checked or not
good, very good =D
great idea, I'm thinking this will fill up faster than windows market place
Very nice thanks
NICE! very good idea dude!
Such a wonderful and powerful idea
Thanks for spending the time and energy on this program. Looking forward to what this project will become once devs fill it up
.
is it only for me or is anyone else getting 404 error all the time ?
Sorry for that.
Edit: Found the problem
Will fix that
This is a simple kitchen for Nexus One. You can choose a base rom, add and remove apps from it. I am working on adding more customization options like kernels, languages, boot animations etc.
http://feeder.pk/
Special thanks to flybyme, APrinceAmongMen, HNH992 and l1nuxfre4k.
Make apps/roms request to chowdarygm.
Please help me pay server rent for this kitchen. Donate link is on site.
UPDATES:
- Added feature to remove apps from rom
- Added support for kang-o-rama service packs
- Aded support for languages
- Added boot screen customization
oh **** thanks! def gonna check this out
wow that looks really nice!
Should be able to change the build number to IMO . Also some things as ADW Launcher instead of Launcher Pro should be there since ADW is open source not the other.
tell me the apps you want and i'll add them
Very nice! you got it up and running in no time...
Languages is something I'm definitely interested in, especially a good Right-To-Left fix.
Thanks. Testing it out.
I always wants a bare minimal rom with speed but little other things
Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
[/code]
yes, got run out of bandwidth in just one night! anyways, will be up soon...
Okay, so as the site ran out of bandwidth, i upgrade the hosting and it's back now.
This is a very awesome idea, so don't take this the wrong way but...
Isn't this perfectly achievable simply by downloading the base ROM, opening the zip file, deleting/adding the apps you don't want/want, moving the boot animation from one ROM zip to another and signing it with the available script here on XDA?
Not to mention kernels/radios have to be flashed separate anyways so they can easily be downloaded from the site here.
Maybe when all those options are available and I try all of it with the kitchen to see the end results it might make more sense, but as of right now I just don't understand.
(PS- Maybe its just because I understand the process more now...because when I first joined XDA, I book marked your thread as soon as you opened it and I thought it was the coolest idea; that I didn't understand what it was for lol; ever.)
this is sweet! thank you guys!
love it , will follow your work as it evolves.
I am in process of adding languages to the kitchen, please provide me with a link of your languages to include it in.
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is so cool, thank you million times! I finished my rom cooking and I'll flash!!
This is a great idea. Thanks for putting it together. And it works great!
UPDATE: now you can select language packs to install in a rom
edit: removed temporarily cause of a bug
Warned once, reopened
UPDATE: now you can remove apps already installed on the rom.

It works BUT it is very limited. I hope the dev keeps working on it. It is a GREAT idea.
Anyone tried it?
Going to try it out. Will give some feedback later.
"Ingenious Android App Allows Web Browsing Over SMS"
http://www.pcworld.com/article/2397...allows_web_browsing_over_sms.html#tk.rss_news
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jeffdonahue.smozzy
Seems to open the 1st page only but if you go into facebook or something you can't sign in cause you can't go to the next page.
Good idea. Needs work for sure.
This app definitely needs some love
I remember when I used to be able to web over SMS with my sidekick lx.
What an awesome idea. I can imagine the speeds would be very slow, though.
Great Idea
Might not be practical for daily use.
Just wanted to post this since I know I'm not the only one that has been looking to block ads while waiting on root. This worked great for me. Many thanks to Nitesh at Lifehacker:
http://lifehacker.com/5851038/how-to-block-ads-in-android-browsers-and-apps
Just follow the instructions and no more ads Good luck.
Share only with the apps you like
You could configure which apps are allowed to be shown in the "share with" list. If you have installed many apps, this app helps you to have a better overview.
Changed settings are applied immediately (except you change it in settings).
Important:
This app needs the Xposed Framework. The framework requires root access for installation. Don't forget to enable the module in Xposed. You can grab it here: Xposed Installer
Donation:
No self-promotion in the app.
More than 9 apps could be selected

Why this app? The huge list of self-registering apps annoyed me

Awesome. Except when I try to donate it doesn't bring me anywhere.

Just uploaded, Play Store is slow in publishing content, it needs up to 6 hours. If you can't wait for it, take a look at my website, it's Play Store independent
This is a fantastic idea! Just donated. Is there a chance this will be able to hide apps from the "open with" dialog as well in the future?

I'm really glad to hear that
Something I just found is, on Touchwiz roms, the 'Copy to Clipboard' share option doesn't appear in the list to be disabled. Everything else is working as intended though!
Very good, i really appreciate this module, could provide xml to translate it into the Spanish, thank you.

I've also a Samsung device, but installed a "Google Edition" image to get rid of TouchWiz
I'm not sure how Samsung handles this "Copy to Clipboard". I've tested https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.johanhil.clipboard and it works with CustomShare. Can you extract the Manifest.xml out of the .apk? You should find it in /system/app
I don't find the donate version but I'm ready to pay as soon as it reaches the Play Store.
FYI I can't hit again the donate mention at the bottom...
Very useful... Too much apps into this sharing menu!

It's available in the Play Store, called CustomShare-Donator. Bar at the bottom: As i don't want to annoy someone, first it has no action. Now it get's the long-touch-event. Should i change it to short-touch?

@defim
Another potentially really useful module. :good:
I love having extra control with how my OS works.
Keep up the excellent work bro.
I know, no matter how much you charge, you (and many Devs) never get back what you put into it. Conceptualization and implementation is under valued.
Alright, I have done a good bit of cleaning. While doing so I deleted a couple of posts that weren't really offensive, but they related to the arguing that was taking place, so in regards to sanity, they got cleaned as well. Let's keep any potential criticism constructive and respectful, and any response to any potential criticism civil and respectful as well. Good? Good! Carry on civilians. :good:
