I rooted my SGS2 today and everything went well. I then tested some root apps (e.g. deleted the annoying shutter sound, installed setcpu).
But then the Screen suddenly went black.
When I turn it on now, only the first row of pixels displays something, the rest of the screen stays black. It seems to boot correctly though.
I succeeded in reflashing the CF-Root Kernel but the problem still exists.
What could I do next?
Thanks in advance.
Are you able to describe exactly what is on your screen. Is it a phone!computer???
I added a Picture to the first Post.

Did you modify the CPU speed just before this happened?
The big question is can you get the phone into download mode .
If so you may be able to recover by flashing a stock rom via Odin .
Or get downloiad mode via USB recovery jig .
If not its a service centre job .

I'd reflash the ROM again. It seems you can get into download mode since you said you were able to reflash the kernel. However, I think some of the files in the ROM itself are missing or corrupt which are causing this. The kernel won't fix that but reflashing the ROM might.

I did look at the SetCPU possibilities and enabled the default settings. But the Shutdown occured about an hour later after sending a message.

Yes, I am able to boot in download mode. I just flashed a Stock ROM without Repartitioning as described in this Thread. It still shows the same black screen as before.
Should I try it again with repartitioning enabled in Odin?
Thanks.

Just a line as in the image. But the longer I keep it in download mode the more sparkles appear on the screen and it gets brighter.
Service centre if its not booted after flashing a stock rom its probably hardware .

boot into recovery mode, wipe data and cache.
now turn off.
configure ODIN with the firmware of ur choice.
then boot the phone into download mode.
connect phone with usb cable, when ready, flash the firmware and wait till reboot. i have reflashed lots of times without any problem.
Its not booting on recovery mod. Neither downloading

yeah, do something via adb. My pc and Odin still recognise my phone.

This is rather a big thread you're refering to.
2. Flashing with Odin
==================
(2.a) Which procedure did you follow exactly?
(2.b) Did Odin report the success at the end with : PASSED (with blue background)
(2.c) Did your phone reboot after Odin logs on the left the reset message?

Simple. if your phone is under warranty.. don't worry. as long as it doesn't boot... Samsung doesn't care.. bring your phone down and they will change the motherboard FOC!

So you only can get to download mode, but not recovery?
I really don't want to freak you out, but it could be SDS...
Please let us know if you could resolve it.

because he's right, it's pointless to repeat the same stuff over and over.
Can get to download mode? Flash a stock rom. can't? try a different cable/port/pc/make sure kies is not running /reinstall drivers. didn't help? try flashing the correct pit file. no luck? send it to samsung. it's all been posted a thousand times

Take a look at his posts, he is spamming that video everywhere, why bait people that need help?
Also remember it does state in the rules to try and be helpful and welcoming to newcomers, or don't post at all, I agree it's a hard balancing act to get right, but if you continually slam the door in people's faces it will put newcomers off, a degree of civility and tact is required

no harm in trying again. just keep the stock rom within reach, you never know you might need it again.
also you might want to download the kernel again, just in case there was something wrong with the first download. check the file's md5 if its available.
if it happens again you might want to try another kernel. maybe you're rom/phone don't like Jeboo

your case is described simply as "being stuck on boot". being bricked is a different matter.
yes it happens all the time, try to search the forum for "stuck on boot" just to get an idea of how often this happens.
just flash the stock, flash the rooted kernel, and this time, try one of the apps on play store that have the option to update the Su binary. maybe the update mechanism you tried is old or something, i don't know why this happened to you.

i don't know. but in most cases we (users) don't need to know this technical stuff. just try to find a way around it. flash again, flash another kernel if it happens again, try another way to update the su binary... etc.

Just recover firmware by ODIN, then flash right recovery and download this zip: http://download.clockworkmod.com/superuser/superuser.zip and you are done. You can also try to flash this zip immediately, maybe it'll work!
