(Please Help!) Hard Bricked Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (Verizon) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

:crying: So... I am a young teenage boy, who got an android, Samsung galaxy S3 Mini for my birthday, and I have had it for a year, I used an app to unlock the boot loader, but I was so happy that I turned it off before the operation was done I think, since I turned it off right when it got root access, I feel like I wanna kill myself, for reals...
I told my dad everything, he threw me at the the wall, shook me violently, and he raised his fist at me, I was terrified, and now I am trying to fix it with only a USB and Computer, no SD card since my damn uncle took my best one, my 32GB SD, and I have no JTAG or any modding device...
Please help, NOTHING HAPPENS, when I try to go into the boot loader, recovery mode, or factory mode, and it does not even show a LED light or it won't even buzz...
My friend had it for about a month, and he said once he held the power button for about a half an hour, and he said it quickly buzzed, but then nothing else happened...
I almost do not believe him so far, and I tried plugging it into my computer, it says everything is working fine, it detects it and everything, but I cannot go into the file system and Odin does not detect it... Please help!
Also, if my computer at LEAST detects it,or if it buxzed, can I fix it without a JTAG or SD card?

Need assistance on bricked S3

I have a SGH-I747M 4.1.1 Galaxy S3.
I used the Unified Toolkit and rooted/installed CWM, backuped and ready for a new ROM.
As I was installing this custom ROM (Pardus HD), and error popped up and it was aborted, (still in the CWM main menu)
but having only the said custom ROM zip file in the internal memory,
I figured I just shut down and download a fresh copy of the ROM.
and put it in an external SD card then power on the phone back into recovery.
Only thing is it wont power on anymore, the screen is just black, plugging in USB and computer just makes connected/disconnected noise.
(Devices say its "Qualcomm HS-USB DQLoader 9008")
Also tried taking out putting in the battery.
(I know my mistake is I never re-installed the backup) I've run out of ideas, please help.
I have a very similar problem. I had my battery checked thinking that could be the problem. My battery shows that is no good. I tried a new one and still nothing. I can't help but think if it were a missing program it would still come on at least. Lucky for me its covered under insurance. I'd still like to know what happened and if I could fix it.
I'd like to know too if I could fix it myself, other than ''the jig'' or a repair service. currenty trying to revive it still
edit: currently trying this Heimdall thing, goodluck to me...
Have you checked the battery? If I wasn't sending mine back on an insurance claim I would take it apart. I have a Motorola that has a fuse next to the battery under the back of the case. Seems dumb, I know but how could changing the rom "short" out my battery. Dumb again I always thought bricking was only being able to bring up recovery.
I think the battery is fine, as CWM was still running after the error.
That's pretty much what happened to me. Maybe we got to the same problem 2 different ways. Hope you get it figured out.
THIS IS GT-I9300 SECTION..
c'mon there was an stickie on top of this section for you..
HERE.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1705
Your problem is that you flashed a rom for gt-i9300 (International) and you have some U.S. variant of s3. That in most cases bricks the phone.
Probably time for a service center visit.

[Q] Need help with my phone SG isw11sc

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry if ever I'm posting this on the wrong section cause I'm not sure if this is a problem from android or samsung.
I'm not good at all when it comes to phone troubleshooting so I will try my luck and ask questions about what have happened to my phone just awhile ago. I got this phone from Japan(Samsung Galaxy SII Wimax isw11sc) months ago and I only use it for multimedia purposes as it is region locked and I am at another country atm. everything is running fine until my phone asked for a software update(not really sure what upgrade that was) and I decided to give it a shot and let it download the updates. I left it to do some chores and when I came back to check on it, it reboot looped itself on the AU(mobile phone company from japan) logo.
I did some research and found some things like hard reset and download mode. I tried to do the hard reset(power/home/volume up) method but I can't seem to access the settings instead, the phone keeps on showing me this "Preparing for S/W update. Please wait." after a few seconds, the phone will reset itself back to the reboot loop.
I tried to do the download mode using odin mode but then, I realized that my phone and computer won' connect via USB port because well, my phone won't boot. Also downloaded the manual driver but my pc won't recognize it.(win7 if that helps.)
Please tell me what have happened and what I can do to fix this problem, I don't really care if i lose everything that I have stored on my phone, I just want it to work again. Help will be much appreciated, Thank you.

Help unbrick hard bricked galaxy s3

HELP HARD BRICKED MY GALAXY S3 GT-19300 4.1.1 PLEASE HELP
I hard bricked my galaxy S III while trying to recover accidentally deleted photos from the gallery. I should have forgotten about the pictures and move on. I am hoping some of you geniuses here can help me figure out how to get my phone back. Galaxy is not under warranty. I want to say upfront that I am way out of my league and will probably say stupid stuff, please forgive me.
On day 1: I used skipsoft toolkit to root my phone. Before the root I did try to back up my phone. I chose #2 backup/restore your device. I do find some files; however, windows is unable to open them. After that, I chose #3 root options. Then, option #2 Flash recovery, root and busy box. Then, option #3 TWRP Touch recovery 2.7.1.0. Then, option #2 SuperSU 2.46 by chainfire. Then, option #2 sideload root file via custom recovery. I must say that I have no idea what all this means. Everything was fine and phone worked well.
Day 2: I followed this wonderful video at YouTube called
How to recover deleted Pictures and files off your INTERNAL memory on Samsung Galaxy Phones. Can put link because don't have 10 post yet. Sorry. However, I skipped the part about rooting and busy box because I use skipsoft to do those procedures. I performed all the procedures as directed, however when I got to Cygwin I couldn't get this program to work. I'm running windows XP. When I typed in util-Linux I only got 2 categories; however he got about 5. Stupidly, I continued with the process. I connected my phone in adb mode. I typed Adb then I typed adb start-server and pressed enter. Then I closed it out as he instructed. As I said earlier I could never get Cygwin to run. I installed it and uninstalled it several times, but had no luck. I disconnected my phone from the USB cable. Everything was working fine. When I went to bed the phone was fully charged, so I did not charge it. Upon awakening, the phone was DOA (dead on awakening) (normally dead on arrival).
The galaxy S III will not go into recovery or download load. It will not do anything, does not vibrate or have lights when charging. I tried all of the button combinations: Power, Home, volume down; power, home, volume up; Power, Home, volume down and volume up. Removed the battery, then tried all these combinations again. Remove the battery, sd card and SIM card and tried button combinations again. Removed battery, SIM card, and SD card and held the power button down. Plug the phone in via USB and tried all button combinations. None of these things worked. Tried a friend's Galaxy S III battery in my phone, dead. Tried my battery in their phone, and their phone dead. Tried friend's battery with all combination of buttons still no signs of life. Computer does not find phone.
I suppose that I hard bricked my phone or did something else happen? What about the backed up information on my computer, is there a way to retrieve it? Can someone please give me specific directions on unbricking my phone? I read somewhere on this forum that you could copy a bootloader from another phone to an SD card and copy that to your phone. However, I cannot take the chance of bricking someone else's phone. So if someone has some suggestions of how I can unbrick my galaxy S III I without JTAG or a jig, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!!
You can't do anything without a usb jig, also you need a new battery.
You should take your phone to a repair centre and ask them if it worth repairing, there is no simple answer to the problems you created.
Thank you for replying!!! I took my phone today to a shop. They don't do jigs or JTAGs and couldn't offer much advice. Where I live is a small town and trying to find someone knowledgable here has been almost impossible. So I'm still in the same boat. I think I might try to order a jig and try it myself.

At this point I don't think there is a great deal to lose....but yeah good luck
It would be better to pay this money (price of jig) to someone who knows what to do - it's more realistic...

Do you know someone who would look at it for $2 or $3? But I agree find someone who might be able to fix it

Help Fixing Hard Bricked Galaxy Note Pro 12 Reward

Hi,
I have one hard bricked Galaxy Note Pro 12.1 2014 Version tablet I bricked while loading custom ROM. I mistakenly popped out the external sd card that the rom was installing from. I was having some trouble with battery issues and was thinking a fresh install of the custom rom would fix it.
When the external card popped out while the rom was loading from the screen said it failed. On reboot the screen goes thru Galaxy logo then goes black. I tried installing recovery images and whatnot thru odin. Some would pass some would fail. And on reboot it just goes thru logo then goes black. I could see its on but nothing else. It does accept a charge though.
Its probably completely broken and at a complete loss but I thought maybe there was some chance. I think it might be possible to repartition or something to that affect but thought I'd see what is possible.
FYI: Not under warranty. Knox is tripped. I am willing to provide a $50 reward to whomever can walk me thru a possible fix. Yeah I know, if you help and it works again I could just say it still doesn't work but all I can offer is my word that you will be rewarded if it gets fixed.
Thank you for any positive feedback.

Solved
Kies was able to fix this problem. I tried odin a recovery tar , everything numerous times, even kies several times, nothing would do it. Also tried odin a stock rom and that helped a tiny bit. After installing stock rom several times (at first it didnt want to and would fail) it finally did go thru on like the 3rd try installed and passed. But then it would only go to samsung logo and lock up. This morning it tried kies again and miraculously it didnt lock up like it did before and install all the way thru. On reboot it went past logo and turned on completely as new. Moral of the story, have faith and dont give up. I almost trashed this thing and was ready to press the buy it now button for a new one but I decided to insanely try again as if some miracle might happen. And sure as sh#t a miracle happened.

Problem with soft/bootloader

Hello,
I have a problem with the LG G4 smartphone. Well, I wanted to put some new soft ones. You know, it's risky. When recording a new software, an error occurred and the phone went down. Do not turn on, do not want to enter the recovery mode, just brick. When you try to meet your computer, he can not see it. The only thing I have to have access to the SD card.
I am asking for help, I've dug half the internet and nothing ...
Thanks
