Bricked i5503 even odin won't solve it - Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500

Hello, I have a galaxy 5 i5503, it had android 2.1, so I decided to install cyanogenmod 7 from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1081995
unfortunately I bricked my phone, and got it in a bootloop, so I flashed a stock firmware(I5503JPJJ2) via orin 4.28, but it's still in a bood loop (showing ANDROID for more than an hour now)
Please help I'm really confused I don't know what to do!!!!
Thank you

Reinstall recovery not firmware
when in odin select one package then download and install "recovery.tar" for the I5500; you will find it on here.Make sure that the box "Auto Reboot" is also slected...then the phone will reboot directly to recovery mode in which you then flash a new Rom like you did before...easy peasy. I have briked this phone close to 100 times, makes me laugh now at how easy it is.:silly:

stuck at "connected to pc" screen.. Immediate help required

while updating my s2 to official ics via odin first it got stuck on "setup connection" and after trying several times something different showed up on odin and then my phone got stuck on " phone connected to pc" like screen. Since then i have not been able to figure out what i did wrong. i have owned galaxy ace before and flashed it several times without any hiccups but this all together new to me. m really scared.. my phone is just 2 months old and i have already managed to brick it. please if someone can help me out here.
the file i downloaded is
I9100XXLPS_I9100OXALPS_I9100XXLPS_HOME.tar.md5. and i used odin v1.83.
as usuall i ask this first......
1: you got i9100 not i9100G
2: can you do download mode
3: can you get to recovery
if all yes goto download mode and flash again. this time get the download again. use the working cable and good usb port.
if you have cwm recovery better to wipe data cache and system partiton first.

Phone Bricked

Hi, I was installing CWM and cyanogen on a Galaxy 5 that was supposedly rooted, but it was not, then i get a bootloop, retryed and got the same, then I tryed to install a downgrade through Odin but then I get a brick, and now everytime I turn on, normal or "download mode", I get this screen

Help Please!
OneClick Unbrick is for all Samsung-Devices who uses Odin3. Maybe that works for you.
download another version of CWM and use it with Odin....
i recommended CWM v6.0.1.2 or CWM v5.5.0.4

Don't worry, this happened to me the first time I tried to install a custom rom aswel. Just hook your phone to your PC. Hold down "Vol down key", "Middle D-Pad Button", and "Power On/Off/Hang Up" keys to put the device into download mode. let the drivers install. download and open Odin. Odin is a Samsung program to flash android onto the device. You have 2 choices. You need an Ops File and the files for either a stock rom or a tar file of clockworkmod to install a custom rom. I know how scary this can be, for a week I had a bricked phone... email me if you need any of these files, I'll be happy to help a fellow G5 user

[Q] Help with I9100 soft-brick and possible NAND read write corruption

Hi,
My problem started a couple days ago. I had my Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100) charging overnight and when I woke up it was off. When I turned it back on it was stuck in a boot loop. I could not access recovery mode (although it would enter recovery mode and then drop out) but I could enter download mode. It was running a stock ROM and I had never played around with flashing before.
After leaving it for about a day without power nothing had changed so I started reading up about recovering from soft-brick and possibly the NAND read-write corruption at the guide on XDA here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-fix-unflashable-soft-bricked-gsii-t1449771
The guide is a bit old now so some links are broken which made it more difficult for me to figure out what I had to do. Particularly with what file should be going where.
I ended up downloading the same ROM that i think was already on my phone from samfirmware and tried to flash it using Odin (various versions) without success. I tried to flash just the kernel using heimdall which now stops me from even entering recovery mode. I tried to flash everything in the ROM from samfirmware using heimdall but it got stuck on the second file (cache) at 62%, the first file was the bootloader which it said was successful. However now I don’t even get the Samsung logo anymore. I only get "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I still have download mode so I have hope.
I haven’t tried repartitioning yet, is that my next step? Can someone give me instructions on how to determine what the problem is and what I should or shouldn’t be flashing? I’m not against going to a completely new ROM like cyanogen mod either. I need some help from people who have more experience with this.
Thanks for your help, I should be around to answer questions.
Same thing happened to me
Hi, almost the same thing happened to me - except that I was running Cyanogenmod 10 custom rom and I'm not being able to go into recovery mode, but I can go into download mode.
So far I've only managed to worsen things while trying to use odin to write a recovery kernel, so I had a bad firmware upgrade and now instead of powering up to Samsung logo it goes into the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen. But I'm still able to boot into download mode.
Did you manage to fix your phone? If so, how did you do it?

Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 - Stuck on boot logo

Hello, recently my Samsung s3 just shut off instantly and when I tried turning it back on it just remained stuck on the boot screen. It only shows "Samsung galaxy s III GT-I9300" there's no animations or noises after that or before it when you try to boot it up. Then I tried entering recovery mode but that failed, the only thing it can enter is download mode. So i tried to flash a stock ROM via Odin, however this failed. I'm not sure why since im not too familiar with flashing roms, I may have used the wrong stock rom for my phone. I bought this from T-mobile and had it unlocked to all networks, I did root this phone about two years ago, so it has a custom ROM flashed on it previously. If someone can take me through the steps to flash with the correct ROM it would be greatly appreciated. thanks
You don't flash ROM's via Odin in the same way as you do via your phone (CWM, Philz etc).
As I've just experienced the same problem try this.
Get Odin (3.0.4 upwards)
Make sure you have Samsung drivers installed on your PC (can be found by searching this forum)
Put phone in download mode
Start Odin
Goto androidfirmwares.net and download an i9300 ROM (must be a ROM file!!)
Unzip it (7zip, Winzip etc)
press PDA button in Odin. Select the file you just just unzipped (which should end .tar.md5)
Wait for it to check MD5
Click Start
You should then, fingers crossed, have a bootable S3.
From their you can install whatever you please once you have installed CWM or some other recovery.

Phone Brick Help

Hello,
I just received my brand new Samsung Galaxy A40 (SM-A405FN) and I wanted to root it / install Custom Rom before anything else.
So I downloaded TWRP 3.4.0 for my phone and tryed flashing it. But that did not work, I was stuck in download mode. So I decided to reflash original firmware. During the flash, Odin stuck itself at "Boot" operation during more than 15min, so I decided to reboot the phone to retry (what a big mistake...).
And now, I can't access Bootloader mode anymore, I only have a blue screen with "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use Emergency Recovery function in smart switch PC software".
I downloaded Smart Switch and tried the emergency recovery, but no devices appears in the list. Same thing with Kies...
I'm lost, please tell me I did not completely brick my brand new phone :crying: ...
Thank's for help and sorry for bad english...
EDIT: Ok, the phone is not dead ! I finally got the download mode back with the correct timing for key strokes!
Can someone tell me why I can't boot after flashing this TWRP: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxya40.html ?
I saw this post which tells to flash Kernel & VBMeta with the recovery but Odin can't flash .img files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a40/development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-a40-t4025587
solved?
Brick Problem solved yes, I still have not manage to install TWRP but at least I have been able to re-install stock firmware. Maybe I should do another thread for that problem
maybe you can try to enter the forum according to the device you are using.
