Asus me572cl - a potential upgrade? *answer* can't work as phone

The relatively new Asus Memopad 7 ME572CL looks like being an interesting alternative/successor to the Z Ultra.

Reviews are pretty promising, it has stereo speakers and Apt-X codec. Pricing looks to be quite reasonable too.

Looks decent, but too much bezel for me.
I am struggling to see where is it better then XZU. Newer is not always better, and specs in my opinion are worse.
This is a downgrade, namely. You can't use it as phone, the specs are not really better, it lacks some goodies of the Ultra + Software support will be average at best.

yeah, on closer examination... and the Asus Memopad forum said it can send/receive SMS but not function as a phone.
too weak to be a successor. just because it has the same form factor/similar screen size, doesn't mean it can replace the XZU. Not even close.

1080 vs 1440 display battery drain? Significant or not?

So basically I have question whether larger resolution drains significant larger amount of battery energy.
For instance if we take both two screens : 5.7' vs 5.7'' both use same IPS technology 1080 vs 1440 Same Snapdragon 808 and Adreno 418 3GB of RAM 3000mah battery The reason I chosen same size hardware to give as much as possible identical condition part from pixel count.
Other comparison would be 5" vs 5.7" both use same IPS technology 1080 vs 1440 identical Snapdragon 808 and Adreno 418 3GB of RAM 3000mah .
If you also have any links bring them in!
Thanks
