Running SD6 and I have great battery life. The best since I got the phone.

Same here; the 35B update - even bone stock unrooted - has excellent battery life. Running SkyDragon or Jasmine makes it even better. It's at least as good as AOSP builds, which could not be said for the 23B/24C 5.0.2-based updates.

Is it better than stock rooted debloated KitKat ?

Went from 5.0 Jasminerom debloated to 5.1 liquidsmooth, and my battery life increased significantly.
(there are mornings where after reading the news, facebook, and my blogs it's STILL reading 100%, absolutely awesome).

Viper is amazing compared to pre-root. 75% more for me. Lots of variables though.

Battery life on ROMs is a tough variable. Having hung around these forums for a really long time I can tell you that you will see huge swings in reeactions to battery life, often on the same ROM. There are so many things that can influence battery life that it really is a YMMV thing. you might be able to get some general trends from reading ROM threads, but there is no such thing as "gospel truth". some genral thoughts
1. Push email and facebook chew through battery
2. The accepted consensus is that battery saver prgrams like juice defender can eat as much battery ormore than they save but if you have a specific use case they may work.
3. you can spend your whole day chasing wakelocks...
All ROMs generally have about the same battery life. Battery is all about how you use your phone and how you manage what is running in the background.

Obviously everyone's mileage will vary, but of every ROM I've tried I've seen the best battery out of the Sentinel sense based ROM over in the international one development section. Yes it and basically every other ROM over there is compatible with the att variant

I have tried Sense 5.0, the Google Play Edition ROM and two CM nightly, the most recent one being July 5.
Both the GE and CM handily beat the stock Sense ROM in battery life (at least that was my perception).
CM 10.1 seemed to be a bit better than the Google Edition ROM (it also seems to be significantly more efficient in its use of resources which translates into better battery life), but there are still some issues with CM...NFC, Bluetooth, no Beats Audio Drivers, and I like the new Jelly Bean Camera App better so I am sticking with the GE ROM for the time being.
I love CM though and will probably go back to it once everything gets ironed out...
OK so I too have been questioning battery life. CM 11 did... OK. My previous phone was the Moto G, and comparatively my One has been doing terrible on battery life! I'm currently on Pacrom, tried PA and a couple similar as well, getting 9 hr battery life, 2 hr on (like what the f***!) according to GSam. I'm thinking about stock gpe and playing with kernels? Thoughts? Testing has been taking a while as I try to give every rom kernel combo 3 days at least, a week preferred.

A some what general consensus of Battery life for the One:
Sense > Google Edition > AOSP
In my opinion the best battery life will come from a fairly close to stock sense Rom such as MaximusHD with poondog's Kangaroo Kernel.

What rom are you running and why?

When I had a Nexus 4, there was a similar thread like this, which I thought was very useful. I'll kick off:
Mahdi Rom for d802
Standard kernel
I love the quantity of features, it's very stable and the battery life is awesome.
I'd love to get some feedback and hear about the roms you're running!

Stock VS980 4.4.2
Why? I soft bricked trying to put the newest AOKP on it and I had to use the TOT method to un-soft-brick my phone.
Malladus 2.0.2 VS980
Very fluid build, debloated, and improved performance. I love how it performs during everyday use and I get great battery life out of it.

CloudyFlex 2.0
I would use an AOSP rom but need something stable as a DD.
i tried almost every rom for this phone and have returned back to stock, completely stock with no root.
ive had issues with stock before but now its been running for about 3 days and no issues whatsoever. battery life is really nice and i have returned for stability.
Stock 4.4.2 why because
i am running Cloudy Flex 1.4 as JB is still more stable than Kitkat.
Malladus 2.0.2
- Stability
- Speed
- Battery Life
- Ability to use both Isis and Google Wallet without issue.
Yeah cloudyflex is amazing, If you want another taste of JB, Try Energy Rom !!

Bonestock LG firmware w/o modification 'cuz of its stability.
LS980 running Omni nightlies because they have no problems and are super stable enough for a DD and have a lot of customization. I'm not a big fan of stock roms
Running cloudyPro ll 2.0. Runs amazingly and I enjoy how smooth it is and no sods!

Wizzedkat rom
I m using wizzedkat rom v2.6! Xwlsw based android 4.4.2 kitkat!
Main reason for using this rom is that it's completely galaxy s5 styled!
And secondly is super smooth.
Kernel m using is siyah kernel
Main reason for using it is that it supports swap memory creation!
Which helps me to increase my ram! And make my galaxy s2 super smooth!
PA beta 3
Super smooth with no problem, great battery life

The GPE ROM from Dan is great, along with some kernel tweaks from kToonz alot of people have been saying great things.
I had wakelock issues with the GPE. The CM one worked better. My default is OctOS, which is actual AOSP-built and not CM-built and basically wakelock-free. All the CM-based ROMs (besides Dan's - he's working off an old milestone) have had actual functionality issues over the last 1-2 months because of upstream changes from the CM side, so I would avoid those or use older stabler builds.

Whats your favorite ROM?

i know there isent truelly a best ROM. i just want to hear your guys opinions about the ROMS that you guys have used and what its like to have it on a daily basis.
im looking to add custom rom on my future lg g3 coming to me.
iv looked into blisspop, jasmine, and dragon. they seem interesteing, any info or people that have tried those before?
Skydragon Rom 4.0.0 with skydragon kernel 4.0.2 ?
Skydragon 4.0 Rom and Kernel. Working great as a daily driver.
eclipse [12B] with SD kernel 3.0.2. gonna wait till nitro busts out L eclipse, cause that is the best
Wanting to try skydragon want waot
Skydragon as there are no other roms. Seems there are no developers for the vs985 hardly. I would like to see miui on this phone. Aosp is all the same minus a few different tweaks.

Gaming ROM?
I've been eyeing SkyDragon 4.0
Currently I am stock 12b stump'd and bump'd with some minor debloat.
Is Sky Dragon good for gaming?
I like the reliability of stock but would love to squeeze a little more out of the phone.
Any of you SkyDragon folks gaming on that ROM?
Of everything I have tried on my G3, Jasmine 5.0.11 is still hands down the most trouble free for me. And with Greenify, getting really fantastic battery life too.

I'm on Illusion 6.5 and love it. Better performance than any other stock-based ROM, great overall battery life, fantastic standby battery life, lots of features.
Have you ever tried the skydragon? Interested in how they compare with eachothet

I wish google never went with the 810 :/ Considering the battery size, life should be much better. I'm lucky to hit 5.
