Unfortunately Swappa allows you to sell only if you have the possession of the device. And as of now I do not have it.
In saying that, you may close this thread if it's not allowed here. I do not want to break any forum rules. I may list it in ebay or elsewhere.

Yeah, Sony is to blame for this... Very bad product policy... If someone wants to root its tablet, the should let him do so... Dont' wanna say they should support rooting the tablet, but other way round they should not prevent it... They just shoud be neutral and so many more people would buy the tablet

I disagree with "is The Thing" because I have an xperia S with unlocked bootloader and there are roms, and some ways for flashing through CMW, I think that the problem is that there are no developers for our tablet. (ok, just few developers like Condi)

Hopefully a few developers jump on the Woot.com deal today and pick up one , cheap. Also, that sale and the announced replacement may make for future opportunities to pick it up cheaply and make it a better value.
Only takes a couple of devs to make a big difference when you only have a one or a few carrying the most of the development load.

im buying an HTC Amaze off of this guy from the xda marketplace. his name is seanyuan62
Im a bit nervous to just send some guy a large sum of money via paypal. i dont waa to get scammed. what sort of protection do i have via paypal? and as i asked does anyone know of this guy? i see he buys/sells/trades phones quite a bit and that makes me feel its fishy.

Just check his feedback if he doesn't have any and you have some have him ship first

are you buying the phone thru ebay and using paypal as a payment method???
using paypal as the payment methood. buying the phone off of the market forum here on XDA
Check his xda feedback, make sure you don't gift him the money, make sure he has pictures with his username written on a piece of paper next to the device. Stuff like that will help, done several transactions on here.

Just avoid a guy named Willieum.. he tried to rip me off when I tried to buy an amaze from him a while back, he recently ripped someone else off.. he was dubbed scammer of the month for a while, and he made it to the unofficial scammers of the marketplace list https://www.dropbox.com/s/1lyf7wdmcc5gvn3/scammers on xda.txt
If anyone else EVER sees this thread who is thinking about buying an amaze- just don't gift the damn money. I gifted it like an idiot, and I STILL got paypal to refund it.. but if it isn't gifted, it is about 1000% easier to get your money back if things go sour..

Thinking about selling my wife's S2 and getting her the Nexus 4 when it comes out. I was just wondering if any one had a suggestion on what would be a fair price?
Looking on ebay, the prices are all over the place. Her phone is in pretty good condition and works fine, just figured its about time for an upgrade.

Check my thread in the general section. I agree with the OP, the prices are all over the place. I have seen S2 selling for $20-200 ish on eBay. I am currently getting $106 for my s2(on eBay, it an auction). Again, you will find more info in my thread. Its only a few pages so its easy to read all the way through it.

I would if the DNA had more storage, but my last video recording was 13gb. DNA won't meet my needs.

I'll be the one to say it, you are out of line. The marketplace isn't down. It was closed due to high number if scams. Buying and selling us no longer to be done on xda and further was never to be done by pm. Take it to cl.

It's not been an official recall, only a voluntary one. This is big as you'd have to return it and the CPSC are involved.

Sorry fellow Buckeye, but this actually is news. Samsung was previously doing an unofficial recall. An official recall in the US is different. For example, it will make it illegal for anyone to sell the recalled device.
