Team Darksyde presents VRThemes for your Framework - Contacts - Pulldown backgrounds for TMS 3.0 Blue Ice Theme ONLY
Post #2 - VRTheme.zips for the Pulldown backgrounds
Post #3 - VRTheme.zips for the Contact backgrounds
These zips are flashable through SafeStrap and FlashFire.
I will add the replacement instructions on the top of Post#2 and Post#3
The replacement directions are almost the same for all zips, please take notice of the png image names as they do change for each one.
So first off I will give some advice on how to make your own then how to replace the one in my flashable zip with your own. Remember that this site is about learning. I share this because I'd love to see what people come up with and to give them the option to make their own.
I appreciate and look forward to seeing all of the contributions that I'm sure people will make with these.
The image will need to be 1080x1920
Framework Background Guide:
It must be named darksyde.png
Then this is how you will replace the darksyde.png that you just made with the one in the flashable zip I have attached to this post (or any of the other ones I've added to the collection below.) This flashable zip uses VRTheme to replace the image inside the apk.
You will need the program WinRAR or 7zip to replace the content inside of the zip easier than decompiling and recompiling it.
Open VR_Theme_framework_****.zip in WinRAR or 7zip and open vrtheme>system>framework>framework-res.apk>res>drawable-xxhdpi
Replace darksyde.png.
Close the zip and put it on your device to flash.
Here is a VRTheme.zip for replacing all 3 img at the same time. You just need to follow the directions for framework-contacts and pulldown to change each one in this zip.
VR_Theme_framework-contacts-pulldown_default.zip
Here is the default img for Framework:
VR_Theme_framework_default.zip
Here is my VRTheme folder with all the VRTheme.zips that are shown in my ScreenShots:
VR_Theme.zip Folder for Downloads
Screenshot Names: (FYI - Please use the Screenshot Tab to see the full view)

When you flash the downloaded file, I dont see a change. Thank you.
tomorrow I'll try
Flash is required through FlashFire or twrp?
@jimwick Eagles v2 no go. Running Muniz stock rooted. Could it be because I'm on s5 active? Flashed with both ff and ss. Thanks
Just checked my systemui and the darksyde.png is not there.
Also, vrtheme backup folder is empty.

With Green Battery and the statusbar a bit gray:
Tested on the Mini and works 100%
If you want all the apps, grey/white/black then check out draco_ags' topic here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8867064&postcount=1 (<- all credits to him for these themed apks)
Need to have ROOT to apply this theme.
I'm not responsible if you brick your device, use at your own risk.
Just thought I'd include the tut in this thread too.
How to replace the framework-res.apk (apply this theme) using Root Explorer:
1. Make a backup of the original framework-res.apk (found in /system)
2. Extract the framework from the rar file (link below) then Copy the framework-res.apk to the SD card
3. Mount /system in RootExplorer as "R/W"
4. Press the menu button and select the option 'Multi-select' then mark the framework file and Copy the framework-res.apk from the SD card to /system
5. Set the permissions of the framework-res.apk to 644:
In this part please Dont COPY the framework, but move it.
6. Move the framework-res.apk from /system to /system/framework and click ok to replace the existing file.
7. Restart your phone.
and again Enjoy
To change the dock, you need to have LauncherPro installed
Firstly extract the sense dock and see-through icon to your sd card (you may have to delete an un-wanted item in Astro file manager so you will be able to view the new icons in album)
Then click the menu button,
,
,
,
and select the Se-nse dock from the Album/Gallery.
You may notice these:
Keep hold of one of them icons I'm going to use the app drawer (middle icon) you should see this:
click change shortcut, then you see this:
click Applications, you should see this:
select calls (because on the sense dock it says Phone, so that shortcut should be the call list) then it will show you this:
click Custom icon and select the see-through icon attached in this post (sense dock and see-through icon)
Do the same for the for the 1st (call/phone) icon (make it the app drawer and select the see-through icon) and do the same for the last (make it to whatever shortcut you wish I chose Album and select the see through icon) the ones in between (the messaging and the person icon, make them both as a Blank shortcut you will see it in the Change shortcut list)
Hope this helps
thanks to:
chancellorr (the original creator of this theme)
r420rr420r (for providing a link to this awesome theme and asking me to port it)
Please don't forget to say
will definitely be trying this out!
excellent work!
as always man!
I'm a fan of dark themes, even now I'm running on your 'Gingerbred Theme' (it's great, and hope you will keep updating ), but this one has really nice status icons. Clear, and great quality comparing to mentioned Gingerbred. Very nice Five stars from me on the post.
will try this one.
thanks
Wonderful. Going to try this. Only if battery icon carried the % info it would have been unbeatable for me.
Loving this!!!!!!
Any chance you might be able to incorporate a % battery icon such as in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840913 , but in all black to match this theme? m(__)m
Keep up the great work!
Thanks guys, yes I'll give that a go
Thank for making my request
x10000 Thank!
No problem mate so what do you think? is the statusbar color the way you want it or would you prefer it abit more gray?
bit gray would be awesome
Its very good as it is. If you make it more gray you loose contrast.
Just my two cents...

Thanks for this post. I was able to see that NYPaulie actually took my zip that I uploaded here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/18665-0-100-battery-mod-for-cm9-a1/ and is pretty much claiming it as his own, tsk tsk tsk haha.
I like these images way better though...soooooo much clearer. I was going to recolor the other battery I have in my blue theme to this teal color because you can actually see the #s.
Thanks again!!!

I haven't tried to DL the other two mods but the circle mod keeps coming up as a bad zip when trying to flash..
Is the correct zip file size 854.52kb?

As reported by windows:
Size on Disk: 856 KB (876,544 bytes)
So I'm just short a complete zip file.. possibly a corrupt zip at the DL site.
Any chance you could upload the file directly on this thread?
I believe it will allow for a zip file of this size.

This has just begun.
I want it to be in line with material design.
It can have out of place or Oversized icons, text etc which can potentially make your recovery not very useful.
I can't test it myself right now as I don't have access to the device. Tested. Works but Not very Perfectly
How to Revert to Stock:
On SD card open TWRP folder and delete the theme folder.
Restart to recovery.

It's with regret that I'm discontinuing support for this thread. I have a 6p now and I'm moving on. I will make my themed icons available in the downloads folder as a zip file. Here's a DIY theming guide.
-Download my themed icons or anyone you want.
-Use photoshop to edit them.
-Download 7Zip and open your lgsysystemui.apk.
-DONT UNZIP IT!!
-When opened navigate to res/drawable-xxxhdpi-v4
-Editing there changes most status bar and notification pull down icons.
-You can drag and drop your icons in this folder without unzipping the apk.
-After this just put it on your device and overwrite the lgsystemui.apk on your device.
-Don't forget to edit permissions.rwrr
-To edit the navbar you have to be able to decompile and recompile apks. This is a dev skill. So you can learn if you're interested or use xposed.
This process is the same for settings. WARNING NEVER UNZIP APKS OR ELSE IT IS DESTROYED!!!
Please hit thanks if you appreciate
What's themed?

In case of any icon repairs instead of posting I'll have a small text file in each download folder stating what has been corrected. If you report an issue you can download it later and read to see if I fixed the issue. It's going to be a sort of changelog. But the official changelog is above. Also report icons that are unthemed which my OP says should be(not those that I don't yet intend theming or mentioned). :good:

No there are no 9.pngs. I didn't use that just normal pngs. Really just using 7zip are you sure bootloops won't occur?

Thanks man the guide seems explicit enough and I'm a fluent and native French speaker so at least I can read and understand some simple Italian. Thanks again. I was having nightmares with this 9patching stuff.

NO!! No root=NO!
Sorry, didn't see it before on the download page. I'll try it later and cross my fingers.
Thanks!
The 812 in your download page didn't work for telus. All I get is black screen after the reboot. Eventually it said something about system ui not working.

Things are a bit slow now as I'm completing my thesis.
For custom rom people I will not theme your navbar. This is because there are too many variables that could go wrong and the work it would bring me in correcting them will leave me with 0 time which I can't afford. I do this for all LG G4s and G3s. You'll get the themed icons and if you upload your settings app themed settings as well with any other future stuff I maybe doing later. Just try not being impatient, please.
If I gave you the tmo v10 system ui apk would you be willing to change it's icons? Just the wifi and data cluster?
Hi and THNX for your work.
Is it working on Genisys Rom 2.8 MM?
