As I'm new to LG phones and software, could we start compiling a list off apps that are safe to remove?
Any input is appreciated and I'll do my best to keep everything organized and up to date.

Hey guys, I'm new to Android phone and i definitely needs some help.
I wanted to improve my phone as much as possible so I rooted and even installed clockwork mod and now I just wish to clean up all files that are useless.
Can someone help me how to delete everything except the ones that i really need? Thanks.

install titanium backup pro. you can then freeze bloat apps effectively uninstalling it but you can always unfreeze the app in case it screws something up.

Noob question.
What system / background apps provide what functionality?
I know the functions of the apps that I have installed but what about the system apps.
The reason being I'm wondering what apps I can safely stop from starting up to free up some RAM.
Cheers
David

I'm trying to freeze all the bloatware junk in Titanium Backup Pro. Can anyone point me towards a list of stuff I can safely uninstall/freeze? My searching skills aren't very good and I can't seem to find a bloatware list for MJ7. Thanks.

As the title states, I have been away from the android rooting and development scene and things have changed. I have read about apps and a script that will backup bloatware apps and then remove them, how has the experiences been with these methods as opposed to using titanium back up and doing it individually? I don't care about custom rooms or the sorts just don't want the crap on the device. Thanks in advance.

NoBloat Free by TVK Development works well. Just be careful and don't delete any system apps (Android guy icon).

What app do I freeze to stop the "Android System Update" pop-up from popping up? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks for any replies. I can't seem to find it through a Google Search and want to make sure I don't freeze anything I shouldn't be freezing.

The effectiveness and the apps you want to freeze depend alot upon root.
If not rooted all you can really do is go to the system update apps and delete the data, clear the caches and disable the one you're allowed too.
I may well be wrong but that's all I've found being without root again.
Look up the debloater program for root if you have root and it specifies exactly what you want to do, while providing a nice clean utility to do so.

Can you please post a link? I would really appreciate it. I don't want to use the wrong thing. I have a LG V10 h90120j rooted with a unlocked bootloader.

Is there a way to update to 20l from a rooted 20j without having to unroot?

My phone is running great and after installing the Xposed framework it's amazing but I do have slow Wi-Fi at times and it seems the update might fix that.
