I haven't been able to figure out how to change the camera resolution - or video resolution for that matter. Am I missing something obvious?
Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk
OK, video resolution I found, but I don't think there is a setting for camera resolution. That's really disappointing.

I couldn't find it either but its gotta be there somewhere...
I'm stumped here as well ?
Anyone found this, in the gallery when you go to edit a photo. Maybe after the fact you can adjust it at least?
I'm looking for the same thing

hello,
After comparing photos of different mobiles at a birthday party i realised that RAZR's photos where kind of zoomed in, although at settings it was zoomed out.
Is our lens different than other mobiles?
Sent from my XT910 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I noticed that too. Seems like its just the way the lense is.

But is a huge difference compared to other cameras! This its the only reason i cannot user RAZR as my default camera..

Have you made sure it's set to 8MP and not 6MP? If it's set to 6MP it seems to zoom it in to make the image fit the whole screen.

Never realized that can make a difference. Actually, mine was the other way around when I unchecked the box for 8mp its zoomed out.

thanks!!! :good:
Settings to 8mpx worked for me 2
8mp is the way to go.
The default value is so wrong, is far too zoomed in...

I've looked, but I can't really think of what it could be called. I would like to set an image as camera input? Like so that I'd go into ahh camera app and it would show the image I set on the screen and when I take the picture.
Thanks.

Not sure I understand the question.
Are you wanting to go to take a picture and it show a fake image? Like, a fake camera app? Or are you wanting to put an image into a picture (kind of like a greenscreen) for someone to show up in front of? Or are you trying to insert an image (like a person) into a picture that isn't really there when you're taking the picture?
Or are you wanting to have your phone wallpaper change when you take a picture?
I want to have it set an image and soda like camera and snap chat think that the image is my camera lens
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Don't you have to send the picture on snapchat? Wouldn't you just choose whatever picture from your gallery?
I don't know what "soda like camera" is, but if it's the same thing, then why couldn't you just use a picture from your gallery?
It sounds like you're trying to fake a picture... Something like what they do on chatroulette sometimes.
No, I'm just saying... like in the sdk you can make an image be there, same thing
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
I believe he is trying to do what they sometimes do on chatroulette by putting an image continuosly instead of the camera input, so for an application like snapchat instead of taking a picture using the camera you constantly see whatever image you choose and can send that
youtube. com /watch?v=gnfG7u-ZlJU
so your able to do something like that
thiers an app in the market that says it should be able to do this called fake camera by vaclav balak but only if the app calls for a camera input
Ok maybe I'm missing something, to be honest I'm not a fan of manuals but I can't seem to figure out how HTC Zoe cameras works. I never see an option to enable it or even see the clips it takes. Could somebody please explain to me what I'm obviously missing somewhere? I did root though I don't think that should affect anything. I honestly just think I'm ignorantly missing something

the on-screen camera icon in the camera app activates zoe
Take a pic ,find it, click edit then click retouch .....that's just half of what it can do.
You can remove objects in a picture and much more
YouTube some videos .

On the camera screen, there's an icon on the left side. Click on it and it'll light up blue and the bottom of the screen will say Zoe.
It's a pretty cool feature.
My camera really seems to be worse than the S3 so I am starting to think I don't have the settings tweaked. Should I be at the 13 Megapixel setting or 9? Also the pictures are good with flash but the ones without them are worse than my S3 in similar lighting by far!
13mp is a 4:3 aspect ratio, while 9mp is 16:9. I personally prefer 4:3 for photos so I use 13mp.

I agree. I have been disappointed in the camera when compared to my S3. The camera feels slower and I have more blurry pics than I did with my S3.

Try the anti-shake setting. That helped

Yeah, the anti-shake setting does seem to help, but taking pictures in a dim environment (inside my house) without the flash is difficult. Also, for indoor pictures, I've noticed that the actual picture taken looks darker than what is seen on the screen at the time of taking the picture.

It doesn't take a really good picture low light. I usually have flash on auto. and also set my phone to dynamic.

So, your phone doesn't show a darker picture in the Gallery than what's actually on the screen when the shutter closes? And my screen is set to Standard...does that matter?

Yeah, auto-flash and anti-shake seems to be the way to go for dim environments.

Thanks for this fellas. I've not had a chance to use mine inside yet and this is great information to have. Although I do mostly take outside pictures I'm sure the time will come.

With it set on dynamic it makes it brighter on the phone overall. Of course the phone isn't going to be able to take really great low-light pictures but it makes your screen brighter with more vibrant colors.
