After some searching i found an entry in the data/data/com.android.settings/shared_prefs/com.android.settings_preferences.xml file called "theme_accent_color".
If i changed the accent colour in the settings, this entry changed too.(The colour code of the entry was the accent color)
So i thought could i change it? But after a reboot the accent colour is still the same...
Has anyone a idea how make it work?
update: i recompiled the settings app
update: found the colour variables in the oxygenOs framework

update: i'm unable to recompile the app, so i cannot test it...
I tried now for nearly a month, but i don't succeded.
Can someelse please try to recompile and compile the framework with a custom color.
So that i know that it's possible or not...
I would love to see a white accent color..
Done
Made an app for it.
Will add a custom color option and will then maybe post it.
(Maybe background and disabked color are changeable to...)

Thanks for trying. I hope you can do it.
Looks great!
That blue really pops off the screen @OverBit - and great idea making it into an app. I'm still setting up my development computer but if you ever need testers or whatever, let me know.
Just got my OPX last week, but as soon as I went to switch the accent color, I also wondered if there could be a way to use a custom hex color. After all, there's a bunch of ”Color Picker” mixins/plugins/applets ready for use under open source, FOSS, Gnu, et cetera. :good:

Thank you for offering your help, i will really need some tester and helpers.
There are some bugs and i need to finish the look of the app too.
I just startend with developing Android Apps yesterday, so it may take some time.
But i will work hard on it tomorrow...(Maybe finish the first beta...)
Maybe you should consider making a Xposed module
Also, to modify the apk you need to deodex right?(since the system apps are odexed by default)

All that is needed is to change any one of those 8 colors in both framework-res.apk and oxygen-framework-res.apk.
Zip them both and flash.
I did the last one Flamingo.

Make a backup in twrp first.
Pull the framework-res.apk and oxygen-framework-res.apk's from your phone.
Decompile both framework-res.apk and oxygen-framework-res.apk.
In the colors.xml files, change any ony of the colors highlighted in the pics to what you want (make sure its the same one for both files).
Recompile both apk's. Place in a flashable zip. Flash with twrp.

Good work manny!!
Great theme as always Manny.
Just one thing. I dont have the same font as in the screenshots.
Maybe I done something wrong when I installed it.
Used xrecovery with update.zip and then manually replaced the other
files for 2.0.2.A.0.24.
Maybe you can post the fonts too.
I'm really looking forward to the Ultimate theme too
Thank you
well, as much as I want to share them, i cant unfortunately, its paid for font you see.. but ill try to find something similar and attach it to the post
I see. The theme looks great even without the fonts in the screenshots.
And if you post some similar font it would be great and I thank you in advance.
Any progress on the "Ultimate" theme?
Cheers

Great Job Manny! You should take a look at the "mobile data disabled" icon. Other than that it is perfect. You have change the "blink" sounds, too, right?
EDIT: Scratch that. First of all, I don't think any sounds are included in framework apk (how did I think that?) and secondly, I flashed a new rom yesterday and didn't change the default notification. Nah, a lof of hours over the phone cause these side effects

- and is it possible to colour the notification bar in blue? would look so great

Hi Manny, I' ve been using the Elegant theme since it's launch, it rocks!
It is there any chance your could mess up quickly with the blue items in the theme to make them red, so that they match with this wallpaper?

A red version of Elegant theme, if you mind. Can it be done?

the lock you want to change is located in system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi
the names in sony is
semc_sliding_tab_open_normal the next is
semc_sliding_tab_open_pressed
the first one is when you wake the device the secund is for when you drag the lock
now the camera lock is
semc_sliding_tab_camera_normal
semc_sliding_tab_camera_pressed
(you can also change the ghost buttons(ghost is when you just press the icon not drawe )JUST REMEMBER THE RIGHT NAMES.
you can change these pictures to whatever you like it just have to be 122x275 and a PNG picture..
if you guys want some help or cannot figure out how to edit the PNG ask me nicely and i will help you make it work...( i also make locks on request
off topic my first android was mini pro and i learned so much in the sony forums so now this is me giving a little back to you...
the thing you are doing with this guide is basiclypulling out your framework-res.apk put in the modified locks setting the permissions right pushing it back to phone(you can also use the ADB to pull the app but i personly dont)
reegards martin
made on request(these are the right size so just ''right click and save as'' if you want them)

Not sure, as I don't have a ton of experience with Mediatek devices as they aren't sold much around here. But you said you couldn't use Gravity Box on KK. Why is that? It's a pretty common mod for devices running AOSP or close to it on both JB and KK. XBlast Xposed module might work too, though I don't have any way to test, obviously.

Oh, if you saw the screenshot then you will know why the gravity box doesn't work. I don't khow why (the old phone i used with android 4.2, it's work). Problem come up when i chose "none" in battery icon catalogue. The icon will disappear (happy now), but it return in secconds (little sad). After reboot, it will show up like normal although in gravity box I chose "none". And it is funny when i chose some icon in the battery catalogue (the screenshot 2). Two icon battery will show up side by side in the top right corner
P/s: I was try to change the code in status bar.xml with Virtuous Ten Studio, the tool reported successful but when i put the systemui.apk back in system/priv-app, the phone lost status bar and screen came to black (in 4.2 will have a notice "system ui has FC" repeatedly)

You could have uploaded what I asked then I or anyone else could have had a look by now. Take a look HERE to see if you're doing it right.

"E:\Virtuous Ten Studio\External\ApkTool\apktool_1.5.2.jar"
As I say in my guide, these kind of programs don't always work so sometimes it's best to do it manually, why Virtuous is using such an old apktool, I don't know and don't have it installed to figure that out for you. Download the apktool folder from my guide and try the manual way.

It's with regret that I'm discontinuing support for this thread. I have a 6p now and I'm moving on. I will make my themed icons available in the downloads folder as a zip file. Here's a DIY theming guide.
-Download my themed icons or anyone you want.
-Use photoshop to edit them.
-Download 7Zip and open your lgsysystemui.apk.
-DONT UNZIP IT!!
-When opened navigate to res/drawable-xxxhdpi-v4
-Editing there changes most status bar and notification pull down icons.
-You can drag and drop your icons in this folder without unzipping the apk.
-After this just put it on your device and overwrite the lgsystemui.apk on your device.
-Don't forget to edit permissions.rwrr
-To edit the navbar you have to be able to decompile and recompile apks. This is a dev skill. So you can learn if you're interested or use xposed.
This process is the same for settings. WARNING NEVER UNZIP APKS OR ELSE IT IS DESTROYED!!!
Please hit thanks if you appreciate
What's themed?
Screenshots
Most Status bar icons
[*]Navbar icons size reduced
[*]Reduced most icons by 75%
[*]Some lockscreen icons like the camera(on secured lock screen)
[*]Knock code braces
[*]Auto brightness icon in drop down(turn it off and see )
[*]Camera shortcut on secure lockscreen.
[*]Password clear button
[*]Smart lock indicator in lockscreen
[*]Low battery warning graphic
[*]Settings app (each category has a separate color on list view) see attachments
More to come soon
Please everyone check within 24hrs tops after submitting your files. In case of any icon repairs instead of posting I'll have a small text file in each download folder stating what has been corrected. If you report an issue you can download it later and read to see if I fixed the issue. It's going to be a sort of changelog. But the official changelog is above. Also report icons that are unthemed which my OP says should be(not those that I don't yet intend theming or mentioned). :good:

No there are no 9.pngs. I didn't use that just normal pngs. Really just using 7zip are you sure bootloops won't occur?

Thanks man the guide seems explicit enough and I'm a fluent and native French speaker so at least I can read and understand some simple Italian. Thanks again. I was having nightmares with this 9patching stuff.

NO!! No root=NO!
Sorry, didn't see it before on the download page. I'll try it later and cross my fingers.
Thanks!
The 812 in your download page didn't work for telus. All I get is black screen after the reboot. Eventually it said something about system ui not working.

Things are a bit slow now as I'm completing my thesis.
For custom rom people I will not theme your navbar. This is because there are too many variables that could go wrong and the work it would bring me in correcting them will leave me with 0 time which I can't afford. I do this for all LG G4s and G3s. You'll get the themed icons and if you upload your settings app themed settings as well with any other future stuff I maybe doing later. Just try not being impatient, please.
If I gave you the tmo v10 system ui apk would you be willing to change it's icons? Just the wifi and data cluster?
