NEED DESPERATE HELP ! ! ! [/B]
My HOX+ ran of out charge completely yesterday while I was playing a game on the phone. I plugged the phone in for charging via USB, the red light blinked three times and stopped. There is no sign of the phone charging anymore. So I then tried charging it via an AC adapter. The red lights stays there for only about 5 seconds and disappears again.
I have tried already tried to hard reset (power + volume down) the device. No sign of recovery! I also tried removing the SIM card and tried charging. This wasnt of much help either.
Please help with out any charge I'm not able to see a lot of options for my phone????
Have you ever flashed a rom or unlocked the bootloader?

My recovery is kind of under a big question mark. I was using CWM but due to certain reason i wanted to shift to twrp. So i got rid off the CWM and flashed Twrp. However when i booted into recovery it just showed a black screen. This happened about two weeks ago tho. Could this be the issue?

Could be,
Visit Lloir's thread or TWRP official site and install the TWRP that is relevant to you (INTL / ATT)
you need to restart in fastboot to flash recovery.

I did that previously. I used the recovery suggested for my phone. Something still went wrong with the recovery.
I cant restart in fastboot. The phone is dead, No charge to even flash a ROM or do anything to recover my phone.
I think its time to give it to HTC. Hopefully since the phone doesn't switch on they probably wouldn't be able to figure out its rooted.
Thanks for your help guys but I think its time to call it.

Okay So I left the phone on charge for 27 hours. No lights and no sign of any activity. So then I had this little whack idea
I plugged my phone into the PC first. As I mentioned earlier- When I plugged my device into the PC the light blinked three times and then no light at all.
So this time when i plugged it into the PC I held the power button and waited for the three blinks after this I quickly took the usb cord and plugged it into an AC adapter while still holding the power button and Voilaaa
The phone is completely functional again.
Glad to have put you on the right track

Hi All.
Not exactly the same problem but very similar. I've opened my HOX+ a little (just enought to measure the pogo pins by inside). Then, when my device got discharged (already closed), I plugged the AC power and turned it on. During the boot screen, It suddenly turned off and now, when I plug the power the only thing I got is a red light blinking forever. No boot screen.... My device was unlocked and flashed with Elegancia for some days before it happened.
Does anyone has any ideas? Now I have a pretty fancy paperweight!

the flashing red lights = it's charging but not enough juice to boot, so leave it on an AC charger for about 30minutes

After some hours, all still the same. I think that this could be due to a bad contact. I dont know? Any other thoughts?
Hi guys,
My HTC ONE X+ was running out of battery yesterday and once it died - it cannot charge anymore; in fact it doesn't show any sign of life at all even the LED that usually flashes when charging doesn't turn on.
I just spoke with Vodafone and they told me it needs service. However, their policy is that when serviced all the data on the phone will be wiped out. Being the idiot I am - I have no back up. The data on this phone is priceless for me, its all the contacts, photos and conversations for my last year and a half. Can you help? Even a referral to some dodgy repair shop that would attempt to help me would be great. Btw I#m in London.
Thanks guys!

What all have you done to the phone ? This happened to me yesterday and I freaked out. Turns out it was setcpu. I have the att version and it doesn't seem to like being underclock to 1 Mhz and set on powersave governor. The phone would not charge and no led lights came on + my battery did die. What I did to get it back was plug it in and hold the power buttons for a while. The softkeys will start to blink then the charging led came on. I started to panic because I just bought this phone from eBay and I just didn't know what I would do if the phone was faulty. I hope everything turns out ok.

I have not really done anything to it. I'm not a developer or anything. I've dropped it a couple of times, but not in the last couple of months and this came out of nowhere.
My case seems to be similar to yours though, because when that happened the power saver was indeed on. Which keys did you press and how long for? Ive tried a lot of combinations from forums, but nothing seems to help. Damn it, I need this data badly! Thanks.

Doesn't work for me. Any idea how I can get the data out of a dead One X+ anyone?
Can anyone tell me if a Jtag boot repair is worth a shot?
I had the same problem with my one x AND one x+
I solved it by charging an hour and start into hboot as soon as the led stopped blinking
Try to press your volume down AND power button same time until the lower bar starts blinkin and the light hboot screen is started. Go into fastboot mode ... Step down to power down. Press power button... done.

YESS it worked! I went and bought a cheap micro usb cable. Charged it for a while and then power button + volume down button and its fixed!!!
Thank you smack!
Hi everyone. I bought my Xperia Z2 (Taiwan Ver.) in Hong Kong.
It was still OK yesterday and sometimes I charged it,
it didn't detect and it's not charging. This may be the problem of my power line because I changed the other one and it worked.
And I charged it with the problem one and it showed "Charging".
This morning I just couldn't turn on my phone. I tried many plugs, USB lines and it showed nothing. Then I used the dock to charge but it didn't work.
Please help! I don't think they will fix it for free......
These are the symptoms:
1. No response even trying Volume UP + Power button and many other combination for pressing at least 30 seconds each time
2. No response when connecting to PC
3. Plugged into the original charger and couldn't feel any heat from charger nor Z2
4. Tried the red button next to SIM card slot still not working
5. Charged it for a very very long time still no response
PLEASE HELP!
========FIXED========
1.Using mobile charger (5v ~ 2.5A) and remove SIM card and SD card if you have one
2.Plug mobile charger into Z2
3.Press Start button of the charger
4.Nearly the same time press the Power button of Z2 (with Volume Up I guess because I pressed it too)
5.Then Z2 may turn on the red LED light
Tips: I tried so many times, I guess the time of pressing charger and Z2 power button is important because I tried many times /.\ Hope you guys won;t get this problem. And I got this problem is because of drained battery, DON'T EVER LET THE BATTERY'S POWER BE LOWER THEN 10% IS THE SAFEST!
Leave it on charging for a while, its a normal issue when the battery completely depletes. Don't worry.
I'd suggest leaving it on charge all day, do check after 4-6 hours tho.

I don't understand why posting such a problem here on the forum.. would it be easier if you just use the warranty and go to any sony centre near by???!!
of course if you didn't void the warranty
no offence meant. but I see many people complaining even for a small things or complaining about things that can be easily fixed by warranty from Sony..
plus this phone is still not yet available everywhere. so many people don't know about it.. better just go to Sony center..
Good luck

Well I am going to the shop I bought this phone (Not official SONY shop or carrier as Z2 is not available in Hong Kong officially) and let them fix it. I don't know if they are going to send it hack to Taiwan to fit it or fix it themselves (Hope not)
And I post my question here because I think it is better to fix it myself because it takes time to take my phone to the shop and to wait it to get fixed. I am sorry for posting this stupid question and I still hope for another reply to solve my problem.

Hi,
I have the latest snapshot of CM11 installed on my M8. About a week ago when I went to start my phone it didn't turn on, I tried charging it and it would charge for half a second then stop. It didn't happen after a drop or anything, it was completely sudden. Since then the phone has died and I haven't been able to charge it again. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the actual charging hardware on my phone or a glitch with Cyanogenmod. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Your post is now in the correct Q&A:good::
Try to charge the phone overnight, then holding power down for 10 seconds or more (and try power + vol up combo).
Hi all,
Something very weird just happened to my phone
The phone was fully charged when I unplugged this morning and I was using it on my way to work as usual
However, when I look at my phone now... the screen is off and there is only a blinking blue light that is indicating the phone still has battery
I know my way around an android phone, so i've already tried the following:
- plugging to PC, but did not recognize the phone
- hold power button with any combination of the volume buttons for 30sec (or longer)
- plugged it into a charger for the past hour
All my attempts have yielded no results. The screen is still off and the blue LED is still consistently blinking
Oddly, when I am holding the power button, the blue LED will blink 4x, followed by a 5sec interval where nothing is happening... and then blue LED blink 4x (rinse and repeat)
and when i let go the power button, the blue LED light will resume blinking constantly without any breaks....
This is very strange and I hope it isn't a hardware failure because up until 3hrs ago, this was a perfectly working phone
more details:
- phone has bootloader unlocked
- phone is rooted and running PAC-rom
- phone is protected by case and it was not dropped recently
any suggestions? help?
thanks
