Do Accessories that fit the Z3C also fit the Z5C ? - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, when I transitioned from the Z1C to the Z3C I was able to use the same thin cover/case...Does anyone know if the Z5C will fit in Cases/Covers that worked with the Z3C??
Please advise if anyone has done this?
Thanks all...

I just tried my old Z3C Soft-Case (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00NWA5TKG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage) and it did not fit.
Your mileage may vary if it didn't sit that tight on the Z3C. However the ports have significantly changed and you will not be able to reach most of the buttons with the old case.

Has anyone tried the Ipad mini Otterbox Defender case on the 7.7?

As the dimensions of the Ipad Mini and the 7.7 are so close I'm wondering if it fits and if it does how snug is it?
I realise the cutouts are in the wrong places but I don't mind a bit of scalpel/dremel customisation as required.
Thoughts?
keen to know this as well...also, other brands that you may have tried (ipad mini cases) that would fit the 7.7 please share. thanks.

your 7.7 will shake inside it, our dimensions are a bit smaller but nothing a simple 'filler' couldn't fix, you just have to bore holes in specific places

Xperia Z2 Armband

Anyone have a particular armband they use with the Z2? I can't seem to find a quality one, and most are just made for a general size smartphone rather than the Z2 specifically. Any insight into a quality armband that fits the Z2 nicely would be greatly appreciated.
This is a decent enough armband and will do the job just fine if you're just looking for something to strap it to your arm whilst running. It is by no means the best armband I've had and it's obviously a generic band which is cut differently according to the phone it's being sold for. I doubt the band will keep the phone dry if it's raining as the top cover isn't sealed down, it just rest on top - but I'm not sure this is a major issue given the phone itself is waterproof.

[Q] Help finding my ideal case for the Z Ultra

Hello,
My Z Ultra should be arriving later this week. For my previous phone (a Samsung Galaxy Note 2), I had the following case/holster combination...
http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1G8FDQ
I would really like to have a similar case for my Z Ultra, but have been unable to locate one myself. If you have seen one somewhere, please let me know.
Regards,
Judging by the lack of response, I am assuming that such a case does not exist for the Z Ultra. I guess I will have to get a friend of mine with a 3d printer to make a custom holster for me. Since I will be doing that, I may as well go with one of the cases with a built in battery for the phone side of the set. Anyone know of a 3rd party one that can be charged using the magnetic connector? I know the Sony CP12 case can, but I am not willing to pay that kind of money.
Regards,
Hi.. did you checked for the Brando SPOJA000600? You can find it on Amazon and i'm still deciding to buy it or not.

I have looked at it, and the case is charged via Micro USB.
I broke down and ordered a battery case that charges via micro USB from http://www.ebay.com/itm/151426250654
I just received it last night, and while it is not my idea of the perfect case, it does feel very sturdy and well built. My phone fits in it nice & secure, yet is easy to remove when I want to. There was no manual included with the case, although the box it came in did say it had a 5v 800ma input and 5v 500ma output. Based on this, I assume the case can trickle charge while passing power through to the phone. I will test this in the next couple of days, once I have drained both the battery on the case & on the phone a bit.
Update: Less than 24 hours after I put the case on my phone, the case suddenly started feeling warm to the touch and its charging light turned on (even though it was not plugged in to anything). Shortly after that, I was able to smell burnt plastic coming from the micro USB opening on the case. Based on this, I definitely do NOT recommend this case.

Sony Xperia Z3 Dual cases

Hi all,
As we know, the dual sim version of the beloved Z3 has a different sized flap on the left of device (when facing it), as it houses the microsd and microusb.
Has anyone come across cases that are designed for the Dual yet?
thanks
Look for the Ringke Fusion on Amazon or eBay.
They certainly look like they have a bigger cutout indeed.
Do you already have one? How is it?

I've been using Ringke Fusion covers for the past 2 years, Galaxy S4, S5, Lg G3 and now the Z3, all of them are extremely well done, and since the Galaxy S5 they are using an anti-scratch material that simply works as advertised.
IMHO, the best looking cover and more versatile one for our Z3, the clear one let the beauty of the phone shows and they thought of everything, the cutout fits perfectly for the Dual (Although on the Regular Z3 the cutout seems a little weird and can cause you issues if you have OCD, because for obvious reason it doesn't match perfectly the regular flap) and they even thought on all the Magnetic Chargers and adapters out they left the clearance for it.
What case are you use now?

If this was directed to me, I'm using the Ringke Fusion like I mentioned above.
Just got my Ringke Fusions, to be honest, not a huge fan....
they are well constructed, and do seem like high quality, but:
1. I think its a little too thick for my liking
2. back is even more fingerprint magnet than the phone itself.
Anyone seen a thin, plastic back case for a dual?
I have the dual sim and a lot of cases and they all fit ,it has the same dimensions as the regular one .
I have a nillkin case that works great on my dual. All flaps are accessible. However, it doesn't sit well in the dock.

Zaki, yes, you're right, its got the same PHYSICAL dimensions, but the flap for the charger/microsd port is much larger than the standard Z3, which means cases with a cutout for the charger would have to be a larger cutout.
But does it fit with the bigger port/flap

HI sephstyler, did the case fit the dual sim version OK? Were you able to access all the ports ?

absolutely. fit is perfect and have access to microUSB, microSD and magnetic port. The flap for the dual sims on the right is blocked - not a hassle unless you take out your sims daily or whatever.
I had also ordered an imak crystal case.
Perfectly clear, very thin, looks great. fits wonderfully too. Also has a wide cut out for charger and sd flap.
Does seem to scuff fairly easily, so the pristine look wont last terribly long.
SGP might be a solution...

I saw this earlier, the thing is in some screenshots the cutout for micro usb is smaller and in some it is large. I'm really confused.

When they released the first pictures the USB cutout was the small one, for the Single SIM Z3, then they delayed the release and when they finally released it all of the covers were with the larger cutout, as if they decided to do just one cover to fit all versions, Single or dual sim ones.
Last week my friend got one of these for his new D6603 and for our surprise it came with the smaller cutout, perfect fit for the D6603, so right now I really don't know the one that they are going to send or if they simply decided to go back to the original smaller cutout design.

Well that can't be good for the dual z3 owners.. I currently have the nillkin one.. Its a nice case but doesn't quite offers suitable drop protection..
i have ringke fusion and it has correct cutouts for the dual sim version. Magnetic port good and microsd/charging.

Flip cases

Hello. Got this wonderful phone couple of days ago. And like all phones, the worst about them is finding your perfect case.
Previously had a Xperia Z3 and i found my love with Roxfit cases. They were perfect and lasted forever.
What i am looking for is a flip case with two criterias.
- Slim. Easy access to Fingerprint reader (i have one now and its to thick padding at the back. Had to carve out slants to get better access to it)
- Must have Credit card pockets. I hate to carry my cards loose in my pockets and i don´t have a wallet as i carry light as possible.
Been browsing around a bit but no match. Hoping for some input from folks that have come across some.
LOL. Pretty dead here.
Anyways. I took my chances and ordered this one
https://www.gadgetwear.co.uk/products/lenuo-ledream-flip-card-case-for-huawei-p9-plus-black
It is just as good as my Roxfit that i had for my Sony Z3. Slim, sturdy, good quality suede-feel leather. (Not to suede tho´)
So if anyone is looking for something similar like i did. Give this a go.
Can vouch for Lenuo. Used one of their flip cases for a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Was pretty happy. Different phone, so your mileage may vary though.
