It is important that the smartphone little warm also used so intense, I need a battery with a good battery life. Smartphone must be robust and durable, while the GPS navigation device will remain on for several hours.

Bunch of advanced Noob questions

I used to have WM phones before (x220, SE X1), so let's say I know the basics. After a year of struggle with Android (Desire, SE X10), I'm back to where I feel at home; WM. But this time with a brand new HD2 (German T-mobile had them on stock at a very nice price). I already flashed a custom rom (Basic Energy 29.... C2.0) without any problems. I like the speed and the looks, but I am disappointed with battery life. So now I'm at trying tweaks. And here I feel a bit stuck. Apparently I forgot things.
So here are the questions;
What is the expected average battery life on HD2 on idle with all wireless connections, except GSM, turned off, and with all auto update things turned off also? (it is understandable that there is no fix value here. I'd like to hear few thoughts and experiences on this)
Is there a custom ROM that is generally known as a battery saver?
Is there some kind of a (virtual) map to show which radio is best for which region? (Croatia for instance)
Is there a specific radio which is gentle on the battery?
Is there an application to show what is (Cell, Display, Wi-Fi, CPU...) draining the battery in % like "Battery Use" on Android?
Is there an application like CPU Spy on Android?
In the tweaks, somebody mentioned the term "find battery saving wallpaper". What is this? I couldn't find it anywhere on the forum.
Is there a CPU managment application to manage (downclock) the CPU manualyl or automatically?
Is there an application similar to the Gesture search in Android (the only besides the implemented Battery Use and CPU Spy, that I miss form the Android)?
Is there a custom camera with less artificial noise reduction (I find it to be way too excessive)?
Is there a way to fit excellent X1 in ear earphones properly on the HD2. THe stoch HD2 heaphones are awful like on Desire too, and I still have those X1 earphones. The porblem is, the sound is skewed if I don't hold the answer button constantly pressed on the earphone's handsfree, so I used some tape and fixed it. However this way, I cannot use the handsfree. Can this somehow be adjusted?
Why do some part of the UI and some parts of apps look like they are scaled up to WVGA? This wasn't so on SE X1.
These are only the questions from the 36hours of use, so there could be more.
I did try to search and read about it before asking, but I couldn't find answers so fast, as the HD2 threads are really massive.
Thank you!
1... a day, day N a half.
2 ...not to my knowledge
3 ... no, what works for one wont necessarily work for the next.
4... not really, the latest supposedly has better power management, but I've not seen any evidence of that, PLUS the reception / stability is shocking on that radio, at least for me. Ask ten people you will get 8 different answers.

[Q] Battery Drain Test App?

Hi there!
I own a couple of brand new batteries for my Android device.
One states 2600mah, the other 3000mah.
However I would like to know if the latter does really lasts longer than the former. On an everyday basis, circumstances are different, so it becomes difficult to make an actual comparisson between the 2 batteries.
I say, is there a Battery Drain test APP which is able to give you a total running time? (this time should be recorded/saved before shutting down the device after the battery is drained).
I think this would be awesome in order to check both:
1- if a battery you own has an actual bigger capacity, and
2- the real running time under the hardest circumstances.
Thank you!
Cheers,

Fujitsu Arrows F-10D - Heat and Battery issues

Hi, does anyone happen to have this phone model and facing issues?
The battery life is non-existent for me (dies in hours) and the phone heats up incredibly quickly. I did head down to Docomo to check if there is an issue but the technicians said that the battery is perfectly fine and the phone heats up cos its waterproof and hence doesn't have good ventilation.
Anyone has any luck with fixing these issues?
battery drain
Hi!
Yes i had the same problem my battery went down from 100% to 5-6 % in the matter of about 3-4 hours.I did find the problem (at least in my case) the native "mail" app draws all the power out constantly looking for new mail.I stopped the program (couldn't delet because i'm not rooted yet) and all the problems are gone. Now i go from 100% at 8 in the morning to about 25% at 8 at night with moderate use.Try it i hope it will help!
I have similar battery problem on my phone F-02E and I believe it is the tegra 3 processor. Itt gets so hot and heat drains the battery. When mine heats up to 46 degree, it restarts; I really hate this behaviour.
The phone would have been amazing otherwise.
Anyhow, I will never buy a Tegra phone again, at least not in the forseeable future.
I'm thinking of buying a F-02E just for gaming when I'm on the road, as I want something smaller than a tablet that has a tegra 3 processor (I have THD games purchased from my old tab). Can anyone comment on gaming performance?

Don't make the mistake. Why do you think the price is so low even with the specs. The main problem is that the heat distribution was not well made so the phone gets very hot very quickly and when it is around 38 degrees, you cxan feel it throttling and by the time the temperature gets to 43, it starts restarting.
Afterthought; the scernario I described is when one is connected to 3g internet. If internet is turned off, I think one can play game for a while before it gets hot. However, I will not recommend the phone. Try instead Sharp SH-06E. It is not so expensive anymore.

Moto E (2015) as offline GPS navigator

With our scouting group we're looking into investing in new handheld GPS devices for hiking. A good new GPS (like the Garmin eTrex 25 / 30) is like €200+, so we are investigating the option of cheap (under €150) smartphones. The Moto E has a Snapdragon 410 (so GPS, GLONASS and an electronic compass), decent battery life and is only €90 in The Netherlands.
I'm looking for more information about the GPS performance on the Moto E. The main questions that is have:
How fast can the Moto E (offline / in airplane mode) get a fix indoors or in difficult environments (like in a valley or a forest)?
How accurate is the Moto E once it has a fix and does it hold the fix well?
Does the electronic compass work well?
How long does the battery last (air plane mode, fairly bright screen, GPS on)?
Anyone who could even answer one of these questions is a hero!

I am currently using this as a back up phone and have no daily use but my experiences are that the gps works too well. I found your thread searchimg for ways to make it less accurate lol reason being, pokemon go. I am usig a spoofing app on a few phones and the moto e has such a fast gps that i cannot spoof eve when set to spoof every millisecond.
1. indoors with airplane mode: around 15 seconds, gps works very well on this phone
2. endomondo was working very good, there were no gaps in track ect so I think it's good
3. moto e lte with sd410 doesn't have compass!!!
4. battery is very good too, I think it could be around 4,5-5,5 h of screen on time.

I just started using moto e as an offline GPS device on my motorcycle. Using CoPilot GPS app with locally stored maps.
Seeing roughly 25% battery use per hour with high brightness in nav use, so 3 hours continuous comfortably, 4 hours maybe. Portable battery pack would be an easy and inexpensive way to stretch battery life. Buyers market for these right now due to the popularity of Pokémon go.
Best reported GPS precision of any android device I've used - often 3-5 meters accuracy. My galaxy S6 with data connection rarely does better than 12 meters.

Vernee Apollo - Experiences thus far

Hello,
Please forgive me if this is placed in the wrong forum.
Anyone bought the Vernee Apollo (NON-light)?
I did, and so far I'm not pleased. The battery is very, very poor. The camera does not feel like a 21mpx Sony and the OS feels slow.
Does anyone know if there is any development on a custom rom? Tried searching Google and XDA. (This is not a request).
What are your experiences of this phone?
Regards,
The phone itself looks great and for 250 bucks, i think the camera is okay. in good light conditions it taks good photos and the new update improved the ingerprint sensor a lot. the battery life is poor but if you charge your phone for half an our in the afternoon you will get over the day. i dont experience a slow os, it feels really fast. overall i like the phone but a very disappointing issue that i have is that it disconnects from mobile network while in standyby. i cant receive calls or messages until i reboot my apollo.
Vernee apollo /non lite /
hi ... anyone knows how to root this device ?
Vernee apollo
HI,
I got my Vernee Apollo just yesterday and to be honest even though phone has a good built, I am not quite impress by the functions of it. The vibration option in my opinion doesn't work so great it gives the phone a very cheap feel. To be honest it sounds like it is vibrating but doesn't feel that way. Display is good not stellar with the VR headset tho. But I guess for the price it is not bad. However usd$250.00 is like TT$1700.00 so which makes it a big deal for me. I am yet to see how it stands up as time goes by. I however had some hiccups on the first day. The went into boot-loader mode by mistake but i was like a headless chicken because everything was in Chinese sighs but I manage to get out i am hoping everything runs smoothly from here tho. :fingers-crossed:

After about 2 months of use, I have to say that I don't recommend this phone at all. Keep in mind that I am using the phone with the MadOS 7.1 and not the original rom. I have two main issues but they are both important. The first issue is the battery, it is not powerful at all and this is not the problem at all. Vernee lied that the phone has a battery of 3500mah battery but the battery capacity is actually ~3100mah. The major problem that I faced is that the battery sensor. The battery can go from 20% to 80% in seconds and as you can imagine it can do the opposite as well. The battery readings are not accurate at all. The second problem is the 3G-4G connectivity. For some reason sometimes the phone is slow in connecting to the 3G-4G network, which is pretty disturbing. The overall performance is pretty good for me, I didn't face any lags.
