Network Connectivity Issue on 2nd Gen Moto E - Moto E Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently purchased a 2ng Gen Moto E (Verizon Prepaid) with the intent to use it on Ting following the instructions in the thread below. The process worked, but I am now having an issue with cell network connectivity while wifi is turned on.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/general/how-to-verizon-moto-e-2015-gsm-network-t3098953
If my wifi is turned off, or I am out of range of a known network, my phone connects to 4GLTE with a strong, steady signal. If my wifi is turned on and connected, my network seems to cycle between G, E, and no signal. This constant switching really drains the battery, and I'm worried I could miss a call.
Does anyone know how I could fix this issue?

WiFi to Cellular Hand-off Slow

Is it just me or is the hand-off between a wifi connection to the 3G/(HSPA+) a bit slow? It could be an android thing or Atrix specific but I have no idea since this is my first Android phone. My previous phone, iPhone 4, when I would leave/disconnect from wifi, it would immediately connect to cell network within seconds. However in my Atrix, when I leave a wifi area or disconnect, it takes anywhere from 20-30 seconds to have cellular data connection (arrows under H+).

LG G2 mini's Hotspot signal is so weak

I've been having this problem since I bought my LG G2 mini.
Whenever I turn ON it's hotspot to share internet connection, I only get 1 or 2 wifi signal bars on my other cellphones. The same goes for a laptop and even my chromecast only gets around 2 signal bars. All devices are in the same room, with clear line of sight, around 1 meter away. The wifi signal also fluctuates a lot, going from 2 to 4 signal bars within 15 seconds and then goes back again to 1.
I do not think there's a possible radio interference as the same issue happens even when outdoors, the phone's hotspot just is so weak.
Do we have a fix for this? Please help, thanks!
The hotspot is simply weak.
It doesn't have the power of a WiFi. So, other devices see it as far away.

Thanks Vagelis1608, but using my Galaxy S4 as a hotspot provides strong signal all throughout the room. I get full signal bars on my laptop and the G2 mini when the S4 is used as a hotspot.
G2 mini users, are you also experiencing the same weakness when it comes to using your phone as a hotspot? I'm thinking of a possible defect on the unit I got unless you guys tell me we all are facing pretty much the same problem.
Yes, I do encounter the same issue, and as it had been said before, the hotspot signal is too weak. I create the hotspot in school for my classmates like everyday and since I got the G2 mini they are complaining that the signal is too weak. And it's true, at a distance of maybe 10meters you can only have 1 bar of signal. Before I had a Desire X and it was 100% better, it's just the G2 mini

4G and 3G strange behaviour

I bought mobile just two days ago.
I did OTA update so I can't see what was difference before.
Actual configuration is: Kernel 3.18.22 and fw 20161209.
When I am in the office I'm getting 3G!
Strange is, when mobile is connected to charger I can get 4G! Even if I do some network activity with charger connected 4G is still active. (Signal strange -117dBm 22 asu)
When I disconnect charger I still have 4G on the screen. But when I going to do some network activity it turns back to 3G! (Signal strange -68dBm 26 asu)
Do you have similar experience?
Is it any battery safe mode or just a bug?
Thanks for reply.
Only a theory:
The charging cable serve as extra antenna.
But yes, very curios, because it should not change anything!
Same here friend... this smarthphone have serious problems with 3G / 4G switching and connectivity... and i am loosing my mind about this.
probably i will buy another phone, but i am low on budget, first i will try probably MAD OS 7.1.2 build.
let's see

No 2G "EDGE" e 4G "LTE"

Hi everyone, I fixed the volume problem on the volume, fixing the gps I broke the connector.
Now I still have problems with the 2G and 4G connections, it's as if it has lost much of the antenna's power. What can it be?
Many have this problem I have seen.

Moto G Power - WiFi Roaming

I've noticed an issue with my Moto G Power when walking around facilities I work at. The phone seemingly refuses to roam to another AP prior to completely losing its signal. Typically it simply disconnects from the wireless network, and completely reconnects. If I'm walking around a lot the phone essentially doesn't have wireless connectivity.
I compared with two other phones, a Pixel 3A and Motorola G6 Play. Neither of those phones show the same behavior, they will roam to the next AP seamlessly. The phone is brand new but I did do a factory reset with no change. Anyone else seen this / have a solution?
UPDATE 1340 - I was standing in one spot with fairly poor signal quality. I'd estimate it took approximately 10-20 seconds and the phone finally jumped to a closer AP. I doubt there is anything I'll be able to tweak, at least not without root to resolve this. Really bizarre behavior.
I'm having same problem. Just read where you can disable wifi scanning. Not sure if it saves the ones you want to keep.
I switched to a different SSID and the roaming works as expected. The only difference is the new SSID was protected, versus open. Doesn't make a lot of sense given the APs / controller are the same for both SSIDs.
