Sometimes at night and in the dark room the LED is for me a bit annoying. I was really suprised that application DontForget (freeware) can disable the LED (plus it remind you unread messages etc so you wont miss anything).

No...at least with dont forget. I asked the developer that question and he said that the bt lite is hardwired into the device and is not something that he can readily control with his program.
I saw on Nokia 5 and 6 in display settings ambient display option amd it is great for me. But my Nokia 8 doesn't have it. Anyone have some app or mod to implement it?

unfortunately nokia in their flagship didnt implement ambient display. so bad that nokia 6 got it but nokia 8 dont. we habe to use glimpse notifiaction to wake up the screen when notification come.
I'm planning to buy a Nokia 8 and watched the reviews. I thought that the "Glance" in the settings is the equivalent of Ambient Notifications. Am I wrong?
It provides lot less info than regular ambient mode. The Nokia 8 Glance shows only notification counter about mails, calls and messages and the time and date of course. That's it. But this is different in lower end models such as nokia 6 (2017) and others l, whichnin their Glance mode support more application notifications. It is expected that glance mode on nokia 8 will be updated to support more info and notifications.

I think we have to request this feature in their own forums. I also want the ambient notifications.

I receive my honor 9 two days ago, and update to Android Oreo, and Emui 8.0
Now i wanna know, its possible to change led notification color ? Like green for whatsapp, blue for facebook, white for email...

maybe some apps can do that, but not in my knowledge
I use 'Light Flow Pro- LED Control' android app, in waiting for emui8 to add a proper LED notification menu, a free version exist.
By the way some LED default colors choosen by emui8 won't work with our LED.
For example: the default orange choosen for tapatalk or the purple choosen for yahoomail.
The downside of Light Flow is it showing only led notifications for apps that you already have setted up in light flow not showing the previouly working emui led notifications if you didn't added them in light flow.

In previous Android versions I was able to give a specific app. priority to sound/vibrate (even with a specific sound) when Do Not Disturb was on.
Now on Android 10 I can't find where to do that. Does anyone knows how to do it now?
I mainly use it for my surveillance camera app. to wake me up or alert me when sleeping/meetings

Their is no notification led on these phones. Gooble wants you to use always-on-battery-sucking-display instead.

They mean the camera flash on the back. So when the phone is face down, have the camera flash blink on a new notification.
I used to have that on Google Nexus devices, longggg time ago...the flash blink was too bright and annoying, never cared for it.
Maybe on some HACKED firmware. Most Nexus devices had NOTIFICATION LEDs. Using the camera flash as a notification LED is a horrid hack and ugly as hell.
So like I said, NO. These devices do NOT HAVE notification LEDs.
