What is the best rom ? - OnePlus X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Could any one suggest a free bug rom for me ?
Based on stock or on AOSP .

Honestly...I've been through quite a few roms on this device, but so far, Oxygen os ( 2.2.0 ) with the 3.4.0 #88 Blu Spark kernel has been rock solid with the best battery life so far.
I've tried CM and alot of CM based roms and the battery life is horrible. (Plus something is always broken....e.g. Mic on speaker calling )
Just my opinion.....

It depends really.
Least bugs- Oxygen OS/CM 12.1
Best experience- AICP
Fastest development- CM 13
Battery- AICP/wait for Sailfish
Nerd corner- wait for Sailfish OS
Those are my thoughts

Best rom & kernel

I need the best combo of rom and kernel ! recently got back into the android game after having an s3 and then switching to a 6s plus now I'm back, with the oneplus two
I need help on choosing the rom and kernel, would prefer for the rom to be stable and the kernel to give me great battery life
right now I'm on aospa 6.0.1 it's alright
I was so excited to get back into roms and android that I didn't even last 3 hours on oxygenOS
OOS3 is actually pretty decent. Especially if you get a ROM that is a modified version of OOS like Oxydium. Exodus is also another good choice for speed, battery, and reliability. So far though, in my experience, it's pretty hard to go wrong with any of the ROMs available for the OP2 though. CM based ROMs have seemed to not get quite as good battery as OOS based or Exodus for me, but they have more features of course. Good luck on your search!
Official cm13 with boeffla kernel is my default setup. But using aospa and resurrection remix (benschold kernel) once in a while )
Waiting to see more features in aospa

I think the best rom at the moment is Oxydium
Good battery, Android N-designed, great performance and no heating

I'm thinking of trying Oxydium
The bad part of oxydium, is not upgraded to the ota release. Happy user of cm13 unofficial, as daily.

The battery life is good, better than cm13, 4-5h sot
Now i'm using PA and it's more smooth than oxydium but camera is not as good as oxydium.
So far mm ROMs are still buggy and things are getting a lot better but the best ROM at least for me was VisionX but its a lollipop ROM
For me RR is still best in battery life

Latest
6h / 7h is achievable
Mostly i have 2 days of standby with 4,5 / 5h sot
Last couple of days I'm thinking about switching from OOS3 based back to CM13 or AOSP or PA. So I'm going through threads and I'm kinda shocked to see how most of them are now plagued by bugs which seem to have nothing to do with our devs, but it seems like they are getting that from sources, CyanogenMod mostly. Also, I don't remember any problems from couple of weeks (months?) ago! Like no notifications (dead silent phone), alert slider not working, echo in conversations, problems with camera, heavy on battery... before I had excellent battery life, notification and slider worked better than in OOS3, ROM was better with each version... any thoughts on that?
hi,
AOKP + Boeffla Kernel at the BEST! :good:
All ROMs and every kernel is best:good:

Can easily confirm, Resurrection Remix has given me much better battery life than OOS3 with my usage. Constant 5h SOT on LTE, 6+ on WiFi
CM13 Unofficial by Seraph08 + Boeffla Kernel works pretty well for me. I get a Standby time of almost 30 hours and SOT of over 4 hours. I used to barely manage 3 hours SOT earlier with OOS3.

I have been wondering the exact same thing.. I flashed PA June and it's been o.k. but has some issue with speaker / mic that weren't present in other MM rom's I've tried..
I went to Exodus. Feels great, works great, but with Trebuchet launcher as AOSP is very limited. I could recommend it easily

Best rom for G2?

Fast, good battery life, good camera.
Stock LP 30F / AospExtender / other rom?
if camera is priority - skip any non-stock based rom (aka AOSP/AOKP/CM...)
Clody 3.3 best rom others are amateusrs
AOSPA 7 has the best non-stock camera, in my opnion. Its not as good as stock, but i think It comes close. I would say it has like 70% ~ 80% of stock quality. I recommend this ROM or Stock 30F with some debloat+ Dorimanx 12.0
Cloudy is very old rom and not updated.. stock 30F is much more newer version so why installing cloudy rom?
I do not recommend cloudy coz after 3 weeks its freezing. Many lags etc. Very slow rom. After some time is very slow.
I RR, AOSP Extended is also good ( atm running), BlissPop (MM) and my favourite rom from 5.1.1 Dirty Unicorn.
But for 7 i would recommend AOSP or CM.
You have to try them yourself because there is no one ROM that is the best.
AICP if you wan 7.1.1
All roms start to lag after some time, and I hate that about android.. Why do I have to flash a rom after 3 months? 3 months is the best case, some roms even lag after installing necessary apps..
I'm running RR right now. First months were a bliss. Now I can't open snapchat without lag.
When a ROM start to lag try to install Trimmer app, will save you

In my experience, the best rom is official CyanogenMod 13 for d802. It is super smooth, beautiful and very stable! Have been using it for years.

Regarding camera it uses SnapDragon camera optimized for Qualcomm Chipsets, and I believe it is the best camera you can get on a non-stock rom. You can even notice 'image stabilizer' working, didn't notice this feature working on other non-stock roms.
Regarding performance, didn't do any measurement, but it feels really fast and really smooth. I also use greenify. Regarding sound, I can't say anything since I do not know.
Also, according to GSAM battery averages, cm last two times longer than stock rom.
I've been using stock based Google Edition 1.5 with Dorimanx kernel and everything is extremely smooth.
Good battery life
The best camera quality
Smooth UI everywhere
Miracast, Dual Window and Screencast
Privacy guard to block app permissions
Audio over bluetooth works
Audio quality is good, listening with PowerAmp and Sennheisers
GPS has a fast fix
And this is from someone who has tried Cloudy 3.3 and CM 13 previously.

I'm still using KitKat 4.4.2
Dorimanx LG G2 Kernel for STOCK 5.0.2 Branches!
It says that Dorinmanx Kernel does not have support for KitKat 4.4.2
What will be the workaround? what version of Dorinmanx kernel to use?

Mokee vs ResurectionRemix vs Lineage vs AOKP for battery ife

which is the best rom for battery from Mokee ResurectionRemix Lineage AOKP ?
I need as much battery as i can get
All are very poor. Small eui is the best for battery that I have used.
Right now I use le mad max , and it beats eui at battery life
I found Madmax rom have good battery life. I had tried most stock roms, tora33 rom also quite good from leeco.re website.
V13.1 by aurel is the best
I tried smalleui and the lemadmax beat it
Heyyo, TBH right meow best is AICP with BS kernel or RR N with BS kernel. People have hit 5 hours sot
Absolutely iaurel 13.1 balanced best of the best
Madsufer1 rom for stock I think, other 7.1 Nougat rom I tried is Ground Zero ROMs Tipsy, Tesla, Validus they have pretty good battery life I think it come with Black screen kernel included.

[Noob Question] Stable rom for Snapdragon?

Hi, the current rom that i'm using has suddenly turned buggy, even though i was using the current rom for 6 months already.
I would like to know what is the most stable rom that wont give me any problems? I dont require many bells and whistles just as long as it has a long battery life and good performance.
Thank you!!
You might should post what rom you're using ? I adapt to latest RR after a few days since a few months. It's rock stable ... Never had a reboot etc. battery life can't be compared that good.
Aosip + radon kernel= performance + customizations + battery life

Hi! Im using CM13 by Santhosh M. It was working well but it started to turn buggy, etc sometimes my stock lockscreen would not show up. :/
You're using RR 5.7 or 5.8?
Go with NitrogenOS, AOSP Extended, Bliss ROM. They have great battery life on stock kernel specially bliss ROM.

Daily ROM driver

What Rom are you currently using from day to day with stable performance and battery life i am currently on lineage 16 but it some times hangs or lags and forces me to restart the device i am looking for other ROM base on others personal experiences and what kernels and settings they have tweaked thanks
