I just bought an lg g4 that I rooted
it was running 5.1 lg stock rom than I installed twrp and cyanogenmod 13
it was great till I was on recovery mode and by accident I did a wipe of data, cache and... system
so i have no system now.
my problem is that twrp doesn't flash anymore, every time I try to flash a rom twrp restart without flashing anything
help me guys please.

i cant install any custom rom,
when i try to install a rom i get always stuck in a bootloop, ive tried twrp and cwmp and ive tried to install cyanogenmod11 (different versions), carbonmod, c-rom!!
i wipe dalvik and cache but when i press on reboot system its stuck on bootlogo, also in a endless bootloop!!??!!
i could only install 2 times the rom (cyanogenmod 11), but i needed to format my mobile and now i always get the bootloop,
the versions are for my phone compatible, also everything is compatible for my phone, the rom and the recovery ( Moto g aka falcon)
HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME

Try to install a Cyanogen Kernel before flashing the rom.
i have a lg optimus g e970 . it originally had cm11 on it and i wanted to put stock rom on it so i downloaded the rom and put it on the extsd card. i have used twrp before and installed many roms throu twrp, so i went and wiped everything delvik cache and data. i then rebooted the phone back into twrp to install the rom and it is then that i noticed that twrp doesnt recognize or detect that i have extsd card. so now i have no os on my og. i can get into recovery, download mode, and i can boot system till it get to the lg logo then stays there. i don't know how to put firmware back on the phone. im a noob when it comes to lg's. i know twrp but not lg. plzzzzzz help............

Hi all, how are you?
I have been trying to install cyanogenmod 13 Nightly (cm-13.0-20160222-NIGHTLY-condor.zip) on a moto e model XT1022 with no success.
I do have a ubnlocked bootloader, and twrp recovery 3.0.0 installed.
Before flashing cyanogenmod through twrp ( install-> selecting zip file from sd card) , I have wiped system, userdata, cache , dalvik cache, and internal memory.
It looks like that the flashing process finishes with no errors, but when I reboot the device after flashing, than it get stucked on cyanogenmod boot image.
So, I wiped all data (except sd card) before flashing cyanogenmod , but it still get stucked on cyanogenmod's boot image.
Please, May someone help me? Did I miss any step for flashing cyanogenmod?

It is the first time that I try to flash my phone with a custom room, thus I am not sure what a custom kernel is or how to flash it.
Do you suggest a particular custom kernel ?How do I flash it?
Is the default cyanogenmod 13 nightly supposed to support model XT1022 out of box?

It looks like that It was a issue with twrp recovery 3.0.0.
I have installed twrp recovery 2.7.1 , then I could flash cyanogenmod 13 nightly with no issues.

I went to recovery, it was cyanogen mod recovery there was no option wipe install etc. I downloaded twrp manager apk and installed it, i did reboot to recovery, i downloaded rom and gapps, i did wipe next flash rom and flash gapps. When i reboot system i only see warning bootloader unlocked. I was waiting 5 minutes and nothing happened. Can you help me guys?

Try clean flash again or flash stock firmware
Do you have twrp 3.0.2?

I'm hoping the community can provide some advice.

After trying fulmics rom temporarily to look at improvements, I wanted to try the latest Resurrection Remix, however, after wiping data, system cache etc and formatting data in TWRP the installation 'failed'. I have put failed in inverted commas because the installation says it has been successful but the phone boots straight back into TWRP and the is clearly no OS on the device when I open file manager. This is the same when I attempt to install any OS (Prime's 10E, Lineage, Fulmics again) none of them take.
Does anybody know what might have happened or what I can do to fix it? I do have access to download mode still.

Search XDA LG G5 boots into TWRP there are several threads that cover causes and solutions.
I wouldnt hurt to format some of your partitions especially DATA as it can get encrypted automatically depending on the rom, although ive used fulmics and it has never encrypted my data partition (RR did though!).
