Hello,
I've read in this forum about fragility of OnePlus X screen (and body). This fact really scares me.
So (before I buy it) I looked for screen protections and I found Ultimate Shield (a user in this forum was talking about it). Did you try it? Is it a good product?
There is also the body protection (back and side of the phone): what do you think about it? Is it a good alternative for covers? Or you can easily use them together?
Thank you very much!
Edit: Sorry, wrong section
I can't find opx there
edit: as the matter of fact, i would go for dbrand since it allows you to customise it too

ok, seems fine but I'm not sure it will be edge to edge(its not even specified) as a screen protector(seen couple of scratchtests and other stuff) seems legit if you are going to give it a shot, let us know!!
I have it installed, both front and back, also the sides. It is like plastic covers, but no so rigid.
It will protect against scratches and fully covers back and screen, but you are not protected against a phone fall and consecuent screen crack.
By other way it is not so flat like others protectors but it gives the phone a gummy touch so it makes sticky, so you will have less chance of drop the phone, less if you use the lateral covers.
Also if you put on a really flat surface like glass the phone sticks so will not fall by vibration on a call.
It is very clear, they say 99%, and will not notice it but the surface touch. It is thin and will not change the phone design so this is important. The phone will not be as nice as the direct glass sight as seen out of the box, but the protector also is shinny and nice.
I don't know if there are images por videos of 1+x examples but you can find examples like iPhones.
Finally, I'm using it and I like it.

I've just seen this. It is the "tempered glass" version of the Ultimate Shield, but is only for OnePlus 1 and 2.
I thought all Ultimate Shield films were tempered glass.
I'm scared of screen fragility, should I look for another tempered glass?
For me tempered is the best, but there is not one that sure covers all. By other hand, ultimate makes the phone less slippery.

For screen protection, it is better the template glass, but if you have read other posts, you will know that most of tempered glass do not adjust to screen due it is curved. Ultimate shield adjust well and covers almost al the screen, so visually for me is better. I use it and I like it.
Maybe the best thing is try both solutions and then make your own decission.

I'm always talking about ultimate film, not their tempered glass. Up to now I think that ultimate does not have tempered glass for 1+X

So does that mean it covers the edges too and not just the flat area of the screen?
Yep

They do. I have one on my phone. Not because of this thread, it's just the one i happened to buy. Fits like a glove and you barely notice it's there because it's full screen (edge to edge).

I purchased the "Cimo [Matte] Premium Slim Protective Cover" from Amazon and fits perfect with the Pleson glass screen protector.
I hope we see a few more companies make cases soon, I've been waiting a while for a good quality case, and I still can't seem to find one.
at my near store i got tempered @40rs inr
FYI, Pleason is a good company, they offer a lifetime guarantee.
Of course my new G4+ glass cracked by the fingerprint sensor as it was going on, as it wasnt alligned right.
I'm sure I'll get a replacement as soon as I send them a message on amazon..
I went with the poetic case... obviously really bulky but hey...

Looks like it comes with a clear case if you buy from HTC directly. Probably crap, but better than nothing as you decide on a "real" case to order when available.

Nothing. I don't have a need for something that big, but that's all they ever made for the HTC 10 which is why I said 'fully support' because I particularly like the Hybrid case and some like the regular Unicorn Beetle.

No, there's only two official cases: transparent plastic one that comes with the phone and a leather folio / flip cover case.

That sucks. The HTC Klik case is the best case I ever owned, and the IceView. I didn't think I would like it but it grows on you and has been the best protection for my screen, do not need a screen protector with it.

On Aliexpress there are also a lot of cases and TPU gel covers for 2 euro.

Did you end up getting one? If yes can you post some pictures?
Don't buy these cheap "magnetic frames". The magnets around make the compass unusable and the steel frame lowers GPS signal. Like really much.
Bought this one https://www.wish.com/product/5b3b41dec56f8902645428fa
And there are GPS signals with and without frame.
My phone looks kinda ok..
The case while it looks likes, doesnt have the lip to stop the front and back side of the phone from touching the table. I got a tempered glass for the front, this one was fairly think so pressing the home button you can really feel the thinkness. I got the slickwrap naked series for the back, didnt want to hide the colorful Twilight color and it does come with the camera glass cover also, so it does provide some cover from scratches.
All in all, I enjoy this setup. I have provided links.

Dear all, I've just received the official OnePlus6T 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Here are some of the photos to share with you guys!
The official protector do have black lines on the long edges, after applying, I think it only cover around 1px screen on each side.
Photos shoot from my OP3.

5. Step 2 is interesting, it actually asked you to use the original TPU case to assist in applying the screen protector
6. Perfect fit
7. The moment just after applying the protector, I've spent quite some time to get rid of all bubbles using the tools provided.
8. Finally !

yes, so many bubbles after applying, need to use the cloth to rub the bubbles away.
Does it have that oily hazing effect that the 5t 3D protectors had?
Slightly off topic but I have one tiny bubble on the stock screen protector. What's the best way to remove it? Didn't see the need to post a brand new thread to have it answered.

1 px width on each side OP said in his initial post.
I dont understand the merit of those black borders on four sides, can't they make full transparent one.
Typically black boarders are to mask the protector not completely adhering on the edges

I almost ordered the official one.....I think I may go with the TMobile version glass(no black border)....it's $40 but I can get it today instead of 1.5 weeks for the $20(plus 10shipping)
So I am just considering it as same day delivery surcharge. Ha......I have to make reasoning somehow.
I went and looked at the Purearc at TMobile and walked away. It's the same exact width as the crappy ones on Amazon that don't quite reach the edge of the screen. Not worth it in my opinion

That is very stupid of makers to think, even a full transparent one can do the job when the screen has borders itself so it will overlap. Even accurate Size with screen having black borders in tempered glass would have worked as it would just overlap the screen borders but they tend to make a bit shorter which instead add to the already border making the screen shorter from each side. When a mm is making a difference in screen to body ratio to a device now this is really stupid to think a customer will satisfy with that. I will certainly get a case and screen protector as none of my device ever slipped from my hand ever.,?
Did anyone try the official oneplus 3d tempered glass protector with Spigen liquid air case?

Using my Mix3 as a daily for the last 2 months without any case, ive gotten no scratches on the camera slider part. But did get some minor scratches and a very small chip on the screen (not noticeable)
I've also had it for 2 weeks honestly I think it's just part of the phone
God those scratches look bad. I've only had my phone a couple days, so I want to protect as much as possible, has anything been found yet to protect the front camera? And with the scratches, does it look like it's caused by some mechanical part inside, or could it be like a piece of sand getting trapped?
Mine got scratched too... I looked for a protector with no success...
Since I'm getting my mix 3 today, I wanted to ask if it's not possible to leave the original slide on it? Would not they be stable enough?
I bought a all aluminium with glass back case that's magnetic, well the front bezel scratched my slider front by the sensors. The case feels nice but kinda slippery so if you plan on getting this case file down the back of the front bezel on the top and file all the way across and it no longer with make contact. Cases are limited for this mix 3 and gearbest has the biggest selection. Nilliken anti explosion screen protector is pretty good and prob your best bet.
I have my mi mix 3 too since around 2 weeks with zero scratches. Maybe just be careful and don't use it in "dirty" areas. With a mechanism like a slider this can happen easily. I did not found any protection glass for the slider only so far.
