Hello
I have cm13 and a quick window cover, is there a way to flash the lg's feature without returning to the stock ROM?

I have a new rooted and unlocked LG P509 from T-Mobile USA and just updated to the latest firmware. Noticed that once the update was complete, the phone now has sound on that annoying T-Mobile splash/start up screen.
Is there a way to remove the files so that the phone boots right into the LG and then ANDROID screen?
Thanks in advance!

Nice....
I can't flash it due to the KDZ program crashing on me repeatedly. Could it be because of Windows 7? I'm doing everything right, but it crashed the second I press the button to flash the phone.

OK I got the phone working again 100% I'm happy!
Just got a 5X (in the US). I would like to use the fingerprint reader (so probably limited to stock ROM?) but would also like to use Xposed if possible,
Could someone recommend a ROM to flash? Or can I put Xposed on stock ROM at this time?

No problem with your stock ROM and with latest Xposed framework. No need to change anything.

Awesome, thanks!
Anyone idea if it will play nice with the Marshmallow update?
And in general what are everyone's impressions of the update? Is it better than the 5.1 stock, or are there bugs?

That's great! My wife has a 5X running the 5.1 stock, rooted but not modified in any other way. I assume the OTA is seamless in terms of not messing up existing apps/accounts/data/settings etc?
I don't want to run the update for her if it's going to cause any issues.

If you would want a custom rom with fp scanner you should try one of the modaco roms.

Oh im sorry, didn't know that
Is there a way to update my G5 with the current EU OPEN ROM without having to root the handset?
The handset is currently branded for EE and I'd much rather have the stock unbranded software running by default... If it's not a major hassle to do it.
I upgraded it via lg up, I'm fairly sure i had ee f/w before but there was no obvious signs of branding.
I've got an EE branded G5 and have loaded Nougat Open EU Rom and have had no problems thus far (48 hours)!
How did you do it?

You flash a image with lg update look up flash stock ROM lg g5, you don't need to be rooted to do it, maybe you need the boot loader unlocked though

Did you lose EE things such as wifi calling though?
I had o2 branded one and getting NT code error on bot but if you're willing to dismiss it every boot you're free to flash any region for same model you want. Just use LG UP.

I think so but I don't want to disable it, as I use it. Will just wait for EE to push the update

Hi guys,
I'm want to go to stock LG PIE Firmware.
I have the LG H930 and am from the UK.
Can anyone help me with how to get back to stock and which PIE firmware I should use for my phone?
There seems to be a wide range of stock pie firmware and want to ensure I get the correct one.
Also wanting to unroot and lock the bootloader
Thanks,
Ross

What are you on right now?
If you have H930 and you live in UK, the answer is simply the EU H930 Pie KDZ.
[H930][STOCK][PIE]LG V30 European open market H93030b_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0704.kdz

I don't understand the dilemma. What other options were you considering?

I run rooted stock firmware with mods to customize and control my phone. I would never un-root and lock bootloader unless I was selling the phone.
Having TWRP custom recovery alone plus Titanium Backup app two tool I am loathe to give up.

Thanks for your help.
As much as I love a good boot loop, I just wanted to avoid one before going back to stock.
I'll check it out now

Glad to be of help. I was merely curious about the "wide range of stock pie firmware" comment.
I only post full image KDZ or TWRP-flashable zips based on full image KDZ, and I post those in the ROMs section. Full image KDZ is stock, official LG firmware. (I maintain Nougat, Oreo, Pie KDZ threads for several V30 variants, but they are all clearly labelled for which variant and which OS.)
Yes, someone has posted beta Pie partial image "update" files -- which by definition are not yet official release and possibly buggy.
Stick with KDZ and you'll be OK.
Alright, so recently I got the zip file for the MIUI 11, Android 10 update. I installed it, all is well, except I miss the face unlock feature. Considering it's a device with the IR face unlock and not the normal optical one. Is there a way I can go back to MIUI 11, Android 9 safely without bricking my device?
Uh, the face unlock option is still there though..?
The Pocophone F1 stock android 10 very definitely does include ir face unlock
Try changing your region, OP
Check it's selected in your security settings too
I'm assuming here that it was the official update zip - not a custom one

Alright, my bad, since I read somewhere that the update might require a location change and hence I did it and made it other than India.
Switched it back to India and I'm all good. Thank you so very much. Saved me from rooting a new phone.
Cheers!
