Guys i lost my imei of my moto e 2015(xt1506).i used the command
Fastboot erase all.
I tried flashing stock recovery no use
Pls help me how can i get imei back.i dont have any pds partition.
If you didn't back it up before you ran that horrid command you're out of luck sorry, some people have said they have got their IMEI back, but that was with a backup, one such story here.
There's a thread for the Moto G about backing up the IMEI here. Note I said Moto G but I modified this guide to back up my Moto E.
I've read flashing the stock ROM might get it back can't confirm that don't exactly want to try it.

Hi all
Just want to say I've been using XDA for a very long time, back to the OG Droid days, and wanted to say thanks right off the bat to those who are more skilled than I and for the help posted.
I recently aquired a sch-I545. The phone is in excellent condition, the only issue was that it was missing the IMEI, it's on the phone sticker, just not software. The baseband is also unknown. I knew this when buying it, that's how I got it so cheap. I figured that the guy had tried to flash it, and just didn't want to own up to it.
However, I have hit a wall. I've tried flash a stock rom on it so that I could root it and gain access to the EFS folder and see if I could modify anything. When I did, even though there was an EFS folder there was nothing to modify. I then heard about flashing a modem.bin to see about correcting the baseband and possibly the IMEI. Though I was rooted I didn't have a custom recovery, as of yet. I went to install TWRP via Odin and it starts the NAND write and then Fails.
So at my wits end I took it to a local shop, hoping that they might have better experience with this and I got the phone back today, with the Software Update Failed screen. I asked what was up, and was told that since someone tried to flash it, they erased the IMEI and they couldn't correct it. Asked why they gave me the phone back with the screen and was told that they too tried to flash with ODIN and it failed.
Luckily I didn't have to pay anything, but I think they just borked things up to and didn't want to own up to it lol.
SO....here's my question.
Can I flash a stock, or rooted ROM to this puppy that already has an IMEI and Baseband, and then Modify the IMEI to the correct one that is stickered on the phone? If I can, what search parameters should I look for? And is there a particular version of ODIN I need to use?
If I can't flash a ROM that already has a baseband and IMEI, how can I go about correcting this issue if ODIN doesn't want to write a custom recovery?
Thanks
You'll need Odin software and the correct factory image for the phone. There are a couple different builds so make sure to get the right one. If it's an MDK device and has never taken an OTA you're in luck. It can get TWRP on it after following the process. If it's later than MDK no TWRP. Search here and you'll find a thread explaining how to do it all.
Is there any way to tell if it's MDK after I flash the correct factory image? I have no clue if the person before updated via OTA.
Hi there.
I wanted to unlock my bootloader, root and flash a custom rom. So I first flashed the global fastboot rom 7.2.5, later flashed the s-twrp recovery and flashed the lineageOs 7.1. I realised that my sim cards weren't working so therefore switched to resurrection remix. Even then, I couldn't get the network even though wifi was working. So I flashed the global fastboot rom again. I still couldn't get the network. Then I realised that my IMEI number might've been erased while flashing even though I followed every step correctly. I dialed *#*#4636#*#* and found out that my IMEI numbers were now unknown. I got to know that my IMEI numbers were definitely wiped. I tried flashing recoveries, boot images, modem files, etc and now I can't even use WiFi. I tried using the WriteDualIMEI application but unfortunately it isn't finding the COM10/20/9/11 port. I have no clue what to do as of now. Can somebody help me with necessary links and details?
Thanks in advance.
Had this problem yesterday. You may refer to my thread on MIUI forum and see if it can help you. Assuming you have Kenzo variant like I do, refer to this and this first to recover IMEI number as well as EFS, then read the rest of my thread to get signal once you recover the IMEI.

Hey there! Thanks for the quick response! It really means a lot.
The EFS thing makes sense now since all my details such as MAC Address, Baseband, IMEI number, etc are all unavailable or unknown. I tried flashing the modem files but are still unknown. Any tips?

Did you try this guide to restore baseband/IMEI/MAC etc first? You may also use this QCN in case the XQCN in the guide didn't work. Follow carefully the guide. Then after you get everything, you may change the IMEI using tool found here . After that, follow my thread to flash everything possible to get all the connection back.

That QCN file was vital! Thank you so much! Now all there's left to do is fix the signal! I've successfully got my IMEI numbers back and the baseband!

hi guys,
recently i had a problem with nvram partition on my henessy and i had lost my imei also,so what can i do is only flashing custom rom from twrp, root it,and restore my imei (otherwise i will always lose my signal on sim 1 so i only be able to use sim 2) but couple of these days i feel unsatisfaction of any other custom rom so i desperately need backup of stock rom in twrp.i really felt grateful if someone would help me with this problem. because if i flash directly from fastboot or spflash i will revert back with locked bootloader and stock recoveries, which means i cant flash Super User inorder to get my device rooted and get back my imei.
Thanks mod and xda

Hey guys.
My WIFI suddenly stopped working along with Bluetooth and no rom fixed it. So I tried flashing the modem of the Oreo OTA and I wiped the modemst1 by accident...
Long story short, WIFI/Bluetooth can't be enabled and even though the phone recognizes the SIM card, there's no signal and I can't make calls/send or receive messages ( the IMEI is 0 ).
I've tried going back to stock but the issue persisted.
I've heard that other SD820 phones used QPST but the Moto Z can't use the Diag Port so that one fell into the water.
Can anyone help me?
I just need to restore the baseband, even if it's from someone else's Z, and I can change the IMEI back to mine after restoring if the IMEI even gets duplicated.
EDIT
Fastboot getvar all showed that my IMEI is still present but I can't get it to appear in the OS...

I don't thinking wiping modemst1 has to do with anything. I'd recommend you flash stock Oreo from here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/development/stock-moto-z-8-0-firmware-t3805226
It should fix your problem.
I was on stock 7.1.1 with stock Oreo bootloader and had imei 0. But after flashing back to Oreo, I had my imei back. If it doesn't work, unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel. I recommend ElementalX Kernel 3.0.0 for stock OREO. Good luck.

The sad part is that I was on my AEX build and after I came back from college, everything was working untill the phone discharded and shut down. After a full charge, wifi was gone. Then I flashed the modem and some other parts on top of aex which caused the disappearance of the IMEI.
I did try flashing that exact firmware and nothing changed besides my baseband returning. The only guess I can make is to possibly try going to pure stock and relocking the bootloader ( other Moto phones actually got fixed that way )...

I don't think it's possible to relock the bootloader. Have you tried full flash using the official firmware I recommended? Flashing some parts of it will not fix anything for you. Try full flash having it in mind that all your data will be lost.

I flashed everything in proper order besides the bootloader ( I already have that version, it would be rejected anyways).
I even tried wiping everything but it was still not helpful.
I have had it with this phone. I spent so much money replacing the battery and the motherboard and it suddenly craps out on me like this.
I've put it up for parts and my Xiaomi Mi 8 SE will arrive next week.
No more Motorola for me, a flagship phone shouldn't have this ****ty situations happening, especially when I didn't touch anything to begin with ( if I modified something myself, I would be okay with it, but this time it seriously died on its own ) .

So sorry to hear this.
My Moto Z has the WiFi bug too. But Bluetooth works though. It's very annoying because I've tried various fixes and different custom roms which didn't fix the problem. Maybe it's hardware? I wouldn't know. But I'm managing it for now until I get another phone.

other possible solutions is this:
How to Fix EFS over ADB
Setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
Enable Developer options & USB debugging on your Android device.
Connect your device to the PC and open a command window on the PC.
Issue the following commands one by one:
adb shell 'dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst1'
adb shell 'dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst2'
adb reboot
How to Fix EFS from Bootloader Mode using Fastboot commands
Setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
Enable Developer options & USB debugging on your Android device.
Connect your device to the PC and open a command window on the PC.
Issue the following commands one by one:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot reboot
How to Fix EFS from TWRP recovery
Boot into TWRP recovery.
From TWRP’s main screen, selectAdvanced » then Terminal.
Type the following commands in terminal (one by one):
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst1
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modemst2
Reboot device.
Edit: Those using twrp may experience efs restoration issues.
While creating the backup of EFS, you will end up with:
efs1.emmc.win (modemst1 partition raw data)
efs2.emmc.win (modemst2 partition raw data)
When restoring this EFS backup, what happened was the file name was not updated for restore, and you ended up with:
Restoring EFS…
Restoring efs1.emmc.win to modemst1
Restoring efs1.emmc.win to modemst2
It should have been:
Restoring EFS…
Restoring efs1.emmc.win to modemst1
Restoring efs2.emmc.win to modemst2
Twrp issue, the steps above will restore your devices.

I't not a hard brick, the phone boots. Wifi, Bluetooth and SIM functions are the only things that are dead. xD
Sorry, I expressed myself badly, what I wanted to say is that your case is a strange situation, by the way, I have a full backup of my phone and if you want, I can share it so you can try flashing it and see if you can recover the wifi, although I think it could end up in a hard brick so it is risky to try it. Tell me if you're interested in flashing my backup
Lot of time ago my brother decided to try and flash a new ROM on his Motorola Moto g 2nd, something went wrong and he decided to give up. I'm trying to restore it BUT it seems to be impossible, i've gone trial and error flashing lot of compatible ROMs after the stock one didn't work, even tried to use mfastboot v2, even if everything seems to work fine, flashing goes all the way trough with no problem, when i restart the phone it's still stucked on "Warning Bootloader Unlocked" screen.

Thank you for your reply but didn't have any success with those solutions, any other advice?
There are some methods to extract the partition layouts...one can be using dd cloning & extracting img files...another can be through B2bSupportLg Tool, also calleld BoardDiag. It does have MSM8226 chipset option, but that device is W7 G2MDS. Take a working Moto G 2014 from someone, ask them to use this tool to extract the partition schemes, then you'll get .mbn files, especially prog_emmc_filehorse_msm8226.mbn . Use that to dump into the bricked device using either QFIL Tool or use this blankflash tool, replace it's singleimage files with the one you got, then execute blank-flash.bat.
Also I had some emmc prog firehorse files, all 4 related to 8x26...You can try those & confirm me if they work or not
