[Q] Custom roms with stock kernel?

I have an Xperia Mini Pro (sk17i) and i can't unlock the bootloader is vodafone. I searched custom roms with stock kernel and there are none.
Why there are no roms with stock kernel? It's possible?
Thanks !
Why can't you unlock bootloader? Which unlock method did you try (the official one or the testpoint version)?
U can use UXP NXT room, this for stock rom with xperia s taste...
No need unlock bootloader, just root and flash with cwm

Branded phones cannot have unlocked bootloader at all, both methods will not work.

This is some Xperia mod, mostly edits only the visual part. Does not require bootloader unlock.
Might be more, only some stock-based ROMs can run with stock kernel.
you can unlock bootloader on branded phones with test point, i did it with mine unfortunately it did no good because due to a sim lock restriction i had no access to fastboot mode so i had to completely unlock mi phone using setool (paid tool) or you can also use omnius (paid tool).

Yes, only via paid methods can bootloader be unlocked right now.
Most of the custom ROMs need seperate kernel... However u cn try UXP NXT Rom... I think it uses the stock kernel

[Q] Unbricking the Neo V

Hi
I have tried with s1tool to unbrick my phone .But after clicking do job ,iam not getting the restore tab for restore the file.Just see the attached screenshot.
Somebody has to help me to get it sort out this issue.
Thanks
are your phone unlocked bootloader?
if unlock, try to use s1tools / flashtool with proper ftf file.
if it's locked, just use SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service)
AFAIK restore function is used for relocking bootloader.
Do you want to unbrick phone by flashing new ROM? Assuming that You have unlocked bootloader, use flashtool.
Edit: it seems I was too slow

You are using older version of s1tool.
Go to neo v dev section and from sticky thread get newer s1tool.
Just download the firm and flash will latest version of flash tool..

You need to unlock bootloader to flash custom roms or u will end up in security error!!! You can use lg recovery tool to get your phone back to working.
Please check forum before positing new threads, your problem will be solved somewhere. No offence.

Lg recovery tool will try that when i get home. Ty no offense taken, i did do a search and found some threads but diff scenarios didnt know which method to go with so lg recovery will revert to original then i need some bootunlocker?
After lg recovery fixes your phone, then you can try for unlocking bootloader, but be careful it will void ur warranty. So if warranty is of no concern, go ahed and unlock bootloader.

Can I run the install for the update?

Okay so I tried unlocking my bootloader for my p769 .. couldnt get it done, and I was stuck with the kdz that had the wonky mirrored screen.. so I ran a restore from a backup I found using cwm. And that is what im currently on. I am on v10b, and I keep getting notifications and popups to install v10d.. If I click restart & install, will this brick my phone? or will it actually work? Is there a way to just remove the popups and notifications for the updates ?
??? anyone?
To be safe I would flash a stock kdz with lg tool for your phone..look for the newest update for your phone and carrier kdz file..flash it..then it won't ask u to update..u can find tons of jellybean kdz files on these forums
That's just what I would do..I wouldn't risk it.

That's the reason why I don't try to without a professional's eyes and ears on teamviewer. :L
The lg tool u used already to put it on the wonky touchscreen kdz..
What is your carrier?
What android version was your phone when u bought it?
Its not dangerous lol..you might become dangerous thou if you lack patience or mental stability from trouble shooting ..
I've used offline flashing sucessfully over 60 times

I have been waiting for some time to update my XPERIA XA ULTRA to Nougat 7.0 and have been observing that many people are up to date with the update and would like to know if I can download and install the update manually.
If so, they could help me with the steps and the tools to do it.
Thank you very much.

No, I am waiting for my device to be updated in Guatemala I have it with a carrier here in my country, and I want to know if I can manually put it either with flashtool or from the bootloader update.
(sorry for my bad english )
To use flash tool you would need to have your bootloader unlocked.
I have that most branded xa ultra can't unlock bootloader.

Mine is branded, and can't unlock, useless and ignorant policies preventing us from getting the updates ourselves as the manufacturer doesn't seem to care.
I'm rooted would to flash 7.0 but no us ftf files.
All could fine is a 7,0 Latin America generic ftf and will not take trying to flash it.

You can flash stock ROM with flashtool without unlocking bootloader.
You can regain root after flashed to 7.0 (.182) by flashing boot followed by TWRP.
