Developer Questions - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone know which apk the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) information is stored? This information is displayed under About phone-> Regulatory information?
Are there any build.prop entries to display The update profile and update PRL entires under system updates? The phones software is designed for GSM networks and I am trying to use it on a CDMA network.
Thanks.

[Q] PRL Files

Just wanted to start a thread on PRL files so we could learn a little from each other.
What are they? What do they do? Which one should I have? Can they be modified? ect....
Post answers to these questions and other knoledge if you have it.
The Preferred Roaming List (PRL) is a database that assists the mobile in the acquisition and selection of a serving CDMA network. The PRL is fundamental for operators since it is through the PRL that the home operator informs their mobile devices about systems that are permitted and any order of preference in the permitted systems and even about any systems that are prohibited.
Post what you know or what you are tring to find out.

[Q] APN settings - where to submit?

Hi.
I flash a lot of the non-sammy ROMS and they all have wrong APN settings for my provider (CBB mobile in Denmark). I assume that the APN list is maintained somewhere and most of the devs use the same APN list.
I would like to submit the correct information so devs can use them instead of the faulty ones.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Jellybean 4.2.2 Phone radio settings (Verizon)

Are there any guides or info on where the phone radio settings are stored in Jellybean 4.2.2 for the Verizon network? I'm thinking somewhere in settings.db?
My main interest is to try to find a setting that will prevent my phone from connecting to any network extender. Any information specific to this setting would be much appreciated.

How to change device classification by T-Mobile network?

T-Mobile One plans classify all network devices into 3 categories: voice(phone), tablet and hotspot. The network retrieves information from the device itself about device type when your device boots and attempts to register itself on T-Mo network to get service. I would like to know how to change (hack) device classification, so T-Mobile network would, for example, see my phone as a tablet device. Anyone with information where this is stored, or a clue how to make T-Mo network misread it - please share.
Anyone?
One way is to edit your build.prop & change product model (device) to the one you want.

[Q] How does Mobile Manufacturer disable VoLTE on specific Networks?

Hello
I was wondering if any know's the part of Android configurations in which the device Manufacturer can determine which networks to enable or disable VoLTE services (I think something related to mnc mcc .. )
i found many devices VoLTE Enabled in a network but does not work in another network ( where both networks support VoLTE)
i know it's something might be related to nv items, but the only nv items list i found on XDA related to 2012, where VoLTE wasn't presented yet
Thanks for any help or suggestion
