Ok here is the deal. I know Im stupid for doing this so....
Anyway. Rooted my samsung tab 4. Using Titanium backup got rid of all the preinstalled bload (including samsung keyboard)
Later without thinking did a factory reset. Google keyboard of course was deleted. Now I cannot get into my device because it is asking for Google credintials but I cant type anything in. Only get Google Voice interface.

I want to change my Google account - but don't want to factory reset the phone
Is there any way to do this ?
It dose not work like it was on G1 - can't delete cache for Google Apps
Or is factory reset is going to lock my phone back? I bought it unlocked (don't know it unlocking code..)
Are you rooted or just unlocked? If you're rooted you can do a reset and not loose root. If it's just unlocked I really have no experience and can't say.
I believe if you do either clear cache or one of the options within the application manager for gmail and I believe gtalk (?) you will be prompted to sign in with a google account again next time you try to access the market. I remember doing this with a g1 back in the day
Another thing I found, it used to be "clear data" on "google apps" within manage applications in settings, but vibrant doesn't have that option. I heard if you change your password on your computer, and reboot your phone, you will be prompted to update your google account on the phone, and therefore change it to something else. Have not tried this, just what I remember from the olden days lol
I know this isn't exactly what you want, but it seems fairly easy to get the unlock code even without root. You could just do that, then reset it and see if it clears the unlock. I doubt it would though.
Is there any way to update the galaxy tab tmobile 4G Google Apps without clock work mod?
I don't have access to a PC and I'm stuck with stock firmware...
My gmail crashes every time that I receive a email... I've already tried to restore factory settings but no luck... Really sucks having an error message on almost every email received.
Is there any gmail apk that I could install? Or for that I would need root access?
Yes you need root access, to delete---
Wait, why don't you clear cache? Settings->Applications->Gmail->Clear Cache
That should reset everything about the app.
If that fails, then you need root because there is no other way to remove a system app.
Also what caused it to suddenly have a brain fart?
Misledz, already tried that...
I even tried to factory reset... A few days later (an tons of apps reinstalled), the problem is back...
My market (now G.Play) is faulty too. Sometimes the app MyApps crashes to, usually when I launch market app.
I really want to try a diferent ROM (I use CM7 on my phone), but the lack of a PC is a major problem.
I don´t have any program directly related to GMail (no widgets related, nothing)...
You need CWM at this point, there is no other way to get it done :| As far a I know you need to install the gapps via CWM. If factory reset didnt work then you have a corrupt system that needs to be reflashed/fixed/updated.
I've just update gmail using Aptoide, só far só good...

GT-i9100 ICS 4.0.3
SOLVED , by factory reset
The most important clue i got was from a google reply i found on their forums: Gtalk app wasnt working either, so i dindnt have a connection to their servers.
I did a factory reset and reflashed my used rom, then CF root. Google play worked.
For this thread not to be so boring, some trivia:
I didnt do a standard backup. I entered all the settings by scratch. I did backup my contacts, memo, calendar, sms, emails with Samsung Kies. Restore worked without problems. I had these games with some progress, so i copied everything from /sdcard to my computer before factory resetting. I installed the games from google play and without starting them, i copied all stuff i found about those games back to /sdcard and /sdcard/android. Everything was where i left them, didnt have to login or something...
I suspect that i uninstalled some vital service that google play needs to run like maybe gtalkservice, but i cant really tell what happened. And what i especially dont get is why didnt the missing services or whatever didnt reinstall just by flashing, before factory resetting, like the app market did, cause thats what i tried in the first place.
All those infos about regional settings, market enabler and that sort of stuff were misleading for me! I guess it wasnt a server error after all.
Heres a very nice link with important/unimportant programs that galaxy s2 comes with. Cant really understand the language its in, but that table is very useful: YES NO and CAUTION with their respective colors says it all:
???( cant paste link due to foreign characters, using xda app)???
So just google for "mygalaxys2.com sammy apps", its the first link, then scroll down to the table.

GT-i9100 ICS 4.0.3
I have a problem on my Galaxy S3, running android 4.1.1 on Vodafone network in the UK. It is not rooted.
I want to make sure the phone is unlocked before buying a sim card for use in France
Using the stock dialer, "*#7465625#" gives me "ussd code running" followed by "Unknown command".
Looking around elsewhere, others have blamed it on Mobile Tracker, which as far as I can see, I don't have. The only solution I have seen is a factory reset, which is a scary prospect for me, not having any idea what that entails. And then reinstalling apps one by one until the culprit is found. I have also seen comments about ussd security issues. I am slowly heading out of my depth here (I know my way round windows quite well, but phones are unknown territory for me,).
I am hoping some clever souls on this forum might be able to help. Is this a known, and solved, problem? Or is a factory reset my best bet?
If I have to reset, I know where the reset is in the menu system - on the same page as a checked box saying backup. So...does does the back up happen automatically or when I press reset or have I got it completely wrong? If not, which files do I need to save away from the phone? What happens to things like contacts I can remove the external SD card, so that won't be an issue. How do I reinstall the apps, particularly the ones I have already paid for?
I have spent most of the afternoon tried to get a handle on this and my head is spinning now.
Any help at all, would be very warmly received.

1st solution : root your phone, very easy procedure then you can flash the same stock ROM from sammobile.com to become unrooted again without wiping/resetting your phone.
2nd solution: download APPSAVER from market for free, then you can save all the applications you have downloaded but not the DATA (for example you can save the game itself but not the progress you have achieved)
as for the contacts, go to the contacts folder - menu import/export - export to usb storage and voila all your contacts will be written in a single file that you can import after you reset your phone
as for SMS, you can download "SMS Backup & Restore" from market for free to backup then restore your SMSs
after you perform the above, go to Settings - Back up and reset - Factory data reset and your phone will be back as you received it.
On the other hand if the phone is locked you can always unlock it using Voodoo S3 on the Play Store, it can sim-unlock your device if you're rooted of course.
Great reply, thank you!
Rooting...a bit loth to do that while still under guarantee and at my level of experience. One day I will get hold of an old phone and try it with that first.
Appsaver - what a brilliant app, thank you again. If it is one particular app that is the problem (and that is the sense that I get from elsewhere), then I can use this to back up my apps, uninstall them all, check for the ussd error. If it has disappeared, then reinstall apps one at a time until the error reappears. If it hasn't disappeared, then I can go the reset route, after backing up contacts and SMS.
Thank you so much for your help.

Ah. The more I try to read up on this, it feels the more lost I get.
How do I check whether the phone is unlocked...borrow someone's micro sim card?
ive been trying for 2 days to get my calendar working again. the stock calendar disappeared from my phone. did a restore with TIB. it works ,but now every time i reboot, its gone again-just the android icon labelled 'loading'. ive tried going to the apk in system/data to reinstall. all i get from there is 'not installed'. can i re-install it from the apk? how is that done? my phone is rooted-lg escape. it seems like this needs to be on your phone for any other calendars to work. i dont know how a reset will affect my phone. will i lose root?
