Latedt lollipop firmware? - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yo,
About to buy a Z5C as I really dislike my S7. I've read about the issues with MM, namely the removal of stamina/ultra stamina mode. This in mind I would like to upgrade my new Z5C to the last update BEFORE Marhsmallow. Is there a link to the update in question and if so could you direct me towards it?
Thanks!

Yo,
The last LP firmware before MM was 32.0.A.6.200 - you might need to use XperiFirm to obtain it but if you're not already on MM you can likely upgrade to .200 using the OTA software updater on the phone.

Latest Info. on Rooting .62?

Hi all,
I was thinking it might be useful to put info. here on this, rather than 5 different threads. There are quite a few of us on the previous firmware and want to update but want root and perhaps don't want to try that over-the-air (OTA) trick to keep root.
Does anyone know are there any successful rooting tricks, or is it just OTA?
OTA isn't a big trick, just updating the firmware over the phone's internet(WiFi or 3G).
Any rumors about directly rooting .62 soon?
I cannot update via OTA because I have recovery and I don't want to remove it

I just ran through all the Sony Ericsson forums and found no real advancement...the Arc section they are using .ftf files PRErooted ...that's a nice advancement. I still look forward to the next easy method though. When I bought my first SE Android-version phone in 2010 it was exactly like this, it takes some time for the newer official firmware to be rooted, so I'm relaxed about it.

[Q] are the OTA C6806 GPe updates still possible

Hi,
I recently got a new Z Ultra GPe as a replacement to my old one. I had OS version 5.0.1 before but the replacement I received is 4.4 and tells me that my phone is up to date. I expected I would get updates but that doesn't seem to be the case. Does anyone know if the OTA updates are still around and if I should be getting them by the normal method (rather then having to manually sideload)? For my needs I'm ok with a the non-rooted stock experience so I don't really want to deviate from that (and I don't really want to void my warranty as I have had to rely on that already). Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I looks like the OTA was pulled (well no longer being pushed) just before Christmas. The 5.0.1 is a little buggy so I would stay on 4.4.4.
Also note that there is no safe way to revert to 4.4.x from 5.0.x unless you root on 4.4.4 and back up the TA.

Thanks, but I have 4.4 and not 4.4.4. Version 4.4 is super buggy and basically not usable. 5.0.1 was very usable in my opinion. If I can get from 4.4 to 4.4.4 that would be a great place to start. If I remember correctly there were three updates to get from 4.4 to 4.4.4.
If the OTAs are pulled, then why are phones with 4.4 being released into the users hands? I'll have to talk to google support about this. Is anyone else in the same boat I am?
Is only the 4.4.2 OTA not being pushed, or are all Z Ultra GPe updates not being pushed?
Thanks.

I'm not sure what ones aren't being pushed any more, but they were all still being pushed just before christmass. You could put 4.4.2 on a SD card and flash that from recovery and see if the 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 OTAs arrive, if not they are archived in the GPe section and I have copies here as well.
Either way I would root 4.4.4 and do a TA backup, it will give you many more options if you ever need to roll back for any reason.
Bugs of note on 5 are:
memory leak
some wifi issues for some users
I have micro hangs (may well be from the memory leak)
OK. Thanks. I am going to do the process here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761698 (different method but same result) to get to 4.4.2 and see what happens.

For now we have to wait for a version for the region, when will be available in XperiFirm.
Not everyone can use without risk of firmware for HK and TW.
I personally will wait for the recommendation of @najoor.
His great review "Xperia Tablet Z: The best stock firmware for power and performance" is impressive.

[noob question] Where can i get the nougat update without root for E5823

So where can i download the ftf file so i can flash nougat to my E5823.
This is the first time I'm flashing an update to my phone.
I think its not possible at the moment. You have to wait untill it will be relased on Xperifirm.
Take a look at the nougat thread in general...
I saw it somewhere.

You should know that this update has some serious bugs in it though, serious enough that Sony pulled the update from official release.

Galaxy S6 edge - Marshmallow or Nougat?

I've got an S6 edge that I'm using as my work hack (my daily driver is an S8).
The S6 is on Marshmallow and has never presented the opportunity to upgrade to Android 7.0, despite frequently checking. I know I can flash it, but I'd prefer it was just an OTA upgrade for simplicity. Did this upgrade ever go out OTA for this phone? If so, why haven't I had it?
That aside, is it even a sensible decision to upgrade or is this phone truly better on Android 6.0.1?

Yeah 7.0 was pushed out OTA some time ago. However manually flashing it through odin is no problem if you want to do that.
Actually g925t still provide ota updates for 7. 0 I just did that recently unlocked T-Mobile tho currently in africa Nigeria and I received the updates as well as the patched
