See screenshots. This happened for the second time now, a reboot fixes this.
But I want to get rid of this! I haven't found anything in the build.prop.
With a Google search, I've found some vague reference to a Qualcomm radio service, but no details.
Is anybody in the know here?
I'm running 10c, unlocked, rooted and decrypted (850).
Edit: it seems to be the miracast functionality: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/com-qualcomm-atfwd-service-bloatware-t2820010
It's located at /system/app/atfwd
So I cannot deinstall or freeze it. I wonder why the phone was kept awake, though. It happened after charging the phone, before it was OK...

Ok, I'm sure everyone on the forum has seen this a hundred times... But I'm a serious noob, so please help me out here.
Whenever I go to Google Maps and try to lock onto my location, it just says "Your Location is temporarily unavailable". When I first got my phone (with the first hour of getting it), I tested Google Maps and it locked onto my location fine. Only after a day later did I get this problem.
I found some GPS fix made by Eugene, and put it on my phone via USB and went to ROM manager and installed the zip file (I don't even know if that was the right thing to do lol )...
After that, I still get the "Your Location is temporarily unavailable" problem.
Is this a problem I can fix, or am I missing something big here...?
Set it back to stock. I've applied the settings fix and then I tried flashing that rom - none of it made a difference on my phone.
Back to stock and I lock in under a minute, only one or two sats but at least its something.
You stated you were getting locks when you were on stock settings so it looks like your solution is obvious, go back to stock and wait patiently for a fix
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
No, I didn't get a lock before I rooted my phone at all.
meh, I don't use my GPS too often anyway, so I guess it's not a big deal.
I just feel like I'm paying for the service, so I should be getting.
w/e though...
Hi all,
I am looking for some way, either via an app or some kind of log, that will help me pinpoint what exactly is causing my data to keep turning off at random.
I'm guessing, rightly or wrongly, that this is an app playing silly buggers in the background, but I'd like some way of finding out. I imagine that there is some facility that can record what is happening to every aspect of the phone, and can tell me what is turning off the data and why.
Cheers.
Indecently, I posted this thread in this forum as I presume the answer will require some form of software. If this is in the wrong place I'd appreciate if the mods can move it.
Well take the following steps
1. check data sleep policy - one of the options keeps data active only when phone awake. Solution is to put to always on.
2. Check network signal. If it is low it may drop at random and it ain't your phone the guilty one. Solution is to get to an area with more data coverage.
3. Are you using a custom Rom, kernel or radio? They could be buggy and cause the issue. Solution is to get a stable software.
4. See installed apps and check permissions. You may try to remove all and install one by one to see if any is causing an issue. If you find the guilty app just delete and never install again. Or just modify its settings if any are available.
That should fix your issues.
My device info:
Samsung stock ROM ICS 4.0.3
Build Number: XWLPG
BaseBand: XXLQ6
Kernel: Siyah 3.4.1
I've installed logcat to watch errors, if I'll get any, I've notice that this error message are reciving every 2 seconds! (and won't stop)
Just to mention that while it last everything works without any problem (no FC or something like that)
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]E/DataRouter( 1838): DrReadUsbStatus returns false USB is offline[/COLOR]
Dont know what its have to do with 'router' but Im getting the same message when wifi off and on, and also when its connect to the charger or not.
Maybe the system trying to read if there is any usb storage connected to the device? (I've got external SD card if that what its ment, or its ment to OTG usb connection)
I don't see any wakelock or something about this error...
Does anyone have any idea what is this error about? (didn't found any clear answer on 'google search' but seems like lots of people getting this error message on logcat).
Thanks!
?
someone have any idea ?!
Didn't found anything about it, doe's anyone knows or had this messages as well ?
thanks.

Yes, I am getting the same problem on my sgs II... it seems to constantly be there, it seems to sporadically get really bad though. I noticed that last time it went haywire, I also got a Watchdog alert for "Android System" using 53.4% of my phones CPU...
Have you had any luck with tracking this down, or how to stop it from happening?

Well, seems that no one here bothered to check it out (besides you) , of what I've 'found' or track it - seems like a normal or non critical/affects on something.
I've read somewhere that its cause because its trying to read/search a wireless networks all the time..or something like that.
About your CPU using, first you can disable this watchdog thing, there is a built in a DATA traffic on ICS and above roms. Maybe its drain your battery (if you have a drain one).
Also I recommand to check with Better Battery Stats and post a log - after your device is 100% charge and put it for an hour+ without touching it.
I'll start with the preliminary "If this is the wrong place please let me know and I will relocate" prefix.
The issue is pretty easy to explain, After rooting my phone and removing what I thought was bloatware the wifi and data no longer wants to work/services aren't turning on (began after restart not immediately following the root or software removal)
I should have made a backup prior to rooting but I was feeling lazy and it's an older unit, worse case scenario I'll replace it so that wasn't a huge issue at the time (hindsight is 20:20 and I'd rather not replace it right now)
I have a samsung sch-i200 running 04.01.02. I decided for various reasons that I should root the phone as I have with a few others in the past. So I did my research, found a comfortable software, and rooted the phone. Everything worked fine at first root went though perfectly and all the features I was looking for ended spot on. Then I went through and removed some of the bloatware from the phone and things started to get tricky. I am guessing that I misjudged like an idiot the purpose of one of these applications and messed up something I shouldn't have.
The applications I removed were named:
backup+ media
my verizon mobile
sync service
verizon guide tours
verizon login
verizon remote diag
voicemail
verizon tones
vz navigator
I don't use Verizon as a carrier so I was assuming (again, like an idiot I believe) that one of those services was either not part of the bloatware they added, or I misjudged the necessity of said bloatware. The other possibility is that the root I went through DID fail to complete properly, although I am not really convinced yet of that as the phone had been restarted several times after the root with no issues. Currently the phone is still able to call and text fine but I haven't been able to get the wifi to turn on or data to activate.
To keep this from getting too long winded I won't go much further in detail, I'm somewhat tech savvy but not an expert by any means and have exhausted my knowledge on searching via google and other forum sources I could find. At this point I would love to just get a copy of the stock ROM for the phone so I could just revert it back to factory but that seems to be something of a unicorn on the internet at this time.
I should state that I have attempted the basic troubleshooting, power cycle, airplane mode toggle, safe mode, settings reset via the boot menu options (full wipe and restore), I've also made some attempt to try and find a way to reinstall the bloatware I removed but can't seem to find it.
I generally hate posting on forums about these things because you can normally find an answer if you search but i'm on about 6 hours of forum crawling and am either blind or unable to find it, so I plea now for assistance.
Any help will be appreciated.
I running my H850 on LOS microG version 14.1-10190110-h850 (Android 7.1.2) and have about 2%/h battery drain over night. The stats showed that during that time the phone is active way too much. Effectively, I think my phone doesn't really go to sleep.
So I installed BetterBatteryStats and that showed me that a NfcService:mRoutingWakeLock was active for about 80%. Everything else seems reasonable.
Then I went to the NFC settings to find they are grayed out and sometimes toggled on, some times toggled off. I even watched it switch automatically from off to on all while grayed out so I can't do anything about it.
I searched the forums and found this issue a couple of times but never with a definitive solution and most were more than two years old. Some say its a problem with nougat, some say is an app constantly trying to get NFC readings and one said that maybe some config file is wrong.
I also tried to set the IGNORE_WAKE flag via adb but that didn't help, or I did it wrong.
Does anybody know more about this problem and how to solve it? Or any suggestions how to research more into the root cause?
EDIT: I checked in safe mode and the NFC setting is still grayed out. Does that mean that I have a hardware problem? Is there a log file where I could check for a failed init? I am new to android but not new to programming, linux and embedded systems. I'm totally willing to learn and dig deeper into this.
I read somewhere that cleaning the battery contacts might help. Is that a hoax or is the NFC antenna maybe built into the battery?
EDIT2: I found a solution: Following this, I installed the driver linked there and now my NFC is working. The NFC toggle is enabled, I turn it off and get 2% battery drain total over night (before it was more like 12%). Thank you so much @shunjou.
Now I wonder, should I inform LOS or microG developers about this?

Don't bother. Vulkan is also broken in 14.1, due to a mismatched blob (fix here). The only G5 maintainer that knew what he was doing decided to be rude and take a stance of not merging anything new into the 14.1 branches. His excuse was "cm-14.1 is no longer being actively developed for LG 8996 devices as all development has moved to 15.1", despite lg 8996 builds never being promoted to 15.1 even to this day. That nfc "fix" was also shamelessly picked into 15.1 instead of properly revising the HAL, so there probably isn't an issue from a clean 15.1 flash.
