Everytime I boot, I get a brief notification that the device is "ejecting the SD card", and the device will not show the SD card at all. It's as if it isn't there. This started all of a sudden after working fine for months.

Had the same problem with the phone not recognizing sd card (after trying to format card). However, after updating the ROM, put the card back in, and all was back to normal. You might try a hard reset, but with the card removed.
HI all
I was wondeing if you can help.
Today, all of a sudden my SD card has stopped working. It has been in use I had music and photos on it. But this morning after being charged last night it seems to have stopped working all togherther.
I have the SD card logo on my notifications bar.
It says 'Bland Card'. I have tried to mount the card in options but it isn't working. NOTHING has changed on my phone at all that i'm aware of.
The phone sometimes said that it was 'preparing the SD card' on the notifications bar but usually works after that but now not so much.
I dont know anything about routed or anything its just out of the box for me lol.
any help to get this working again is much appreciated.
***EDIT***
Also, my phone picks up my songs on the SD card in the music player but it isn't showing photos in the gallery or even regestering that there is an SD card in the phone???
Remove SD card and connect via card reader to a PC and try to recover any wanted data using RECUVA or a similar tool .
Then format sd card as FAT 32 in Windows and try .

Hi!
Today, I ran into problems with my SD card not being recognized. After booting, the process usually looks like this:
1. Displays "Preparing SD: Checking for errors" in the notification area, options to mount wither SD or internal storage are grayed out, "Unavailable".
2. No notification any more, internal storage is mounted. SD card shows an option to be mounted, but if it is activated, the storage manager hangs.
3. SD card isn't mounted, I get a notification that "SD Card is damaged. You may have to reformat it."
Each of these takes about 10-20 minutes to happen.
However, the SD is actually fine: If I open it in recovery, I can see everything is there and that there is no damage to it. Unfortunately, I have not found a way to access my data while in recovery, and I don't have a reader for a microSD card at hand. And I need that data to know if an assignment for my university is due tomorrow :\ So, any help?
Device is a Motorola Atrix, originally rooted, with CM7 (Neutrino ROM). Tried wiping the caches and fixing permissions in recovery, which had no effect except that it unrooted the phone -.-
Thanks for any replies!

I have Android one device running Marshmallow 6.0, i have Micro SD card formatted as internal storage, everything worked fine, my internal storage got increased.
But all of sudden (approx after 2 weeks), the device has stopped recognizing the SD Card, i am getting a notification to reinsert the SD Card device.
I have reinserted the SD card number of times, but it's not recognizing the card. Although the same SD Card is shown from another device.
What can i do to get it working? is there any workaround or i need to again reformat it to FAT32 from ext4.
Formatted the SD card to internal memory, set the SD card as default download location and can transfer any and all apps except the Google set to the SD card. The problem however is while the phone and apps all work well for a short time, it suddenly says the SD card needs reinserted. Rebooting , reinserting the card it works well again for a short time and get the same error. Doesnt appear to be a card nor slot contact issue as I have Replicated the error on Two phones using multiple SD cards . Any suggestions?
