Good Morning,
Making OTA update, the cellphone froze.
When restart, no recovery, the boot, nothing!
Recalling the concectar the device to the PC, with keystrokes or does not show the variations in the following images ...
Windows devices (W10-64) ==> ADB Interface -> "Android Sooner Single ADB Interface".
I have with me the .img file of his partitions. Does anyone know how I can apply it?
I have also all .img files (aboot, recover, rpm, laf, etc ....)
Indeed, only ha recoverability via "Octopus" or there is other software that make the device be recognized by windows and then apply the IMG's ???
I have XP 32 (does not recognize none only driver: "android") or W10-64 (as cited above).
Thanks for listening!
Does download mode work?
If not, flash the laf partition (download mode), boot into download mode and flash a kdz.
You can use fastboot to flash the laf partition (all partitions, as a matter of fact).

My bro accidentally clicked on OTA upgrade. I have bootloader unlocked , rooted P765 with cwm 6.0.2. I searched this forum for solutions and got some.Unfortunately none worked for me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2247371 - this method did not work . my phone also has some issues with USB i guess. Everytime i connect to pc , i get device not detected error. screes attached.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40423549&postcount=2 ----this did not work. same as above.
i also tried with exitrecovery.zip . It ran successfully from CWM but everytime i boot, phone still goes to CWM recovery mode.
exitrecovery has following code
busybox echo -ne "\066" | busybox dd bs=1 seek=4107 count=1 conv=notrunc of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p8
I did trial and error with mmcblk0p till 1-20 with no success.
Here comes the saddest part...I also went to LG service centre. He also couldn't help. That guy told me motherboard is dead due to rooting.
I am sure that my p765 is very much alive.
I can go to Software upgrade mode on my phone, but my pc doesnt recognize it. I have latest LG drivers installed on my system.
NOw i think only way out of this could be a script to flash from CWM. Please help me!!.
I tried flashing other roms like Superlumina,Avatar. Also tried Ubuntu touch with no success. Still goes to CWM.
I am on JB India V20A.

Turn off the phone and remove the battery. Download THIS and exctract it to C:/. Open device manager in windows (Rigt click on Computer > Manage > Device manager) and connect your phone without the battery to pc via USB cable.

The following will work with all OTA boot loops to recovery. The guide is for p765 but it will work with all variants. If you flashed a custom ROM trying to fix the problem, please restore your stock rom backup. Also, if you still have artas182x locked bootloader recovery (or you removed any system apps), the update will fail, but you will be of the loop
what kdz are you currently on? I made the zip but i need the extracted p765 recovery.img.
If you have the kdz please extract the recovery.img (look at my signature on how to extract it).
i could give you the p760 20b recovery.img but I think it would be best to use the recovery.img of the current kdz you are on (to be on the safe side).
Note: if this doesn't work, you will need to use the unoffical fastboot. So you might want to get fastboot setup before trying this. Actually, you probably won't need fastboot, but you will need to restore your custom recovery.
Or use the longer method (takes more time, depends on your download speed), LG mobile support tool.
Once you get the stock recovery.img for your kdz, Open the p765_stock_recovery.zip and copy the 3-recovery.img into the zip file.
Note: Don't change the name of the recovery.img or it will not work
The recovery must be named 3-recovery.img
Place it on you sdcard and flash with cwm and reboot.
Or sideload into your phone with cwm and your computer
Code:
adb sideload p765_stock_recovery.zip

Yes. LG UP is using LAF to flash.
LAF Is the LG Advanced Flash. When you hold vol up and insert your USB cable to get into download mode, aboot loads a partition called LAF.
runningnak3d explained it well in the H932 rooting thread
Longer explaination:
H932 has bootloader unlocked but no flash commands. They can flash stock firmware with LG UP tho.
The plan was to get dev version of LG UP which can flash single partitions and use it to flash /boot that was patched with Magisk.
This failed because LAF will not allow to flash anything that is not RSA singed by LG. And that's where they got stuck.
They can flash stock firmware or stock partitions extracted from official .kdz tho

LG UP should automatically put the phone into download mode when you start the .kdz flash otherwise you can do it manually by just following 3 simple steps:
1. power phone off
2. hold volume up
3. put in usb-c
...you're in download mode
My Mi 8 Lite had stock, rooted (Magisk) MIUI Oreo and I dirty flashed MIUI Pie with TWRP 3.2.3. It booted up again with no problems and everything works but when I boot into recovery it now asks for a password to decrypt the data partition. Needless to say, the PIN for unlocking the screen is not accepted by TWRP. I'm hoping I won't need to wipe the data partition to fix this. Any ideas?
Thanks
<bump> anyone?

If you are using the wzsx150 TWRP, notice that versions 1003/1203 are for Oreo only. You need to upgrade to versions 0121, 0212 or 0330 for Pie.

Thanks a million, that fixed the problem. This information should be made available on the existing TWRP posts. I had a job finding the updated recoveries to download but came across a Google Drive folder that someone had posted https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1780TJvn-ZHPBtgDdNjrN8i9YRlqPy38v - I went with the 0330 version which seems to be working fine.

This device has 3 different touchscreen panels (that I know of) and one of them is not fully supported. Which seems to be the one you have. To fix the problem the recovery needs some additions on source and then compiled. I suggest connecting to a pc and copying what you need off the internal storage and then use a recovery that your touchscreen works with and format the data partition using the option that asks you to type yes. This will remove encryption and allow you to access data no matter what recovery you use.

You should try the DLOAD method, but you must know the cust (c432, c636, etc.) too, not only the model (in your case BLA-L29).

Good, I'm downloading BLA-L29 8.0.0.129(C185) update.zip file, I'll extract it and copy the UPDATE.APP file to a folder named dload in the root of a memory stick, plug it in a USB Type C to USB Type A
then turning on the phone by pressing volume up + volume down + power button until Huawei logo appears.

Try this :
1) Download BLA-L29 C185 8.0.0.129 firmware from Firmware Finder
2)Extract system, kernel and recovery_ramdisk from update.app
3)Flash the extracted images with fastboot
4) Try again with the DLOAD method
P. S. You could also try to do a Factory Reset before step 4.
Edit: Windows 10 might require a fix for the drivers, iirc. Otherwise you could try a Linux Live setup (you can find one on XDA, especially designed for ADB and Fastboot use).

I have two problems now :/
Extracting system.img takes for ever, as I'm writing now, it's still extracting, even tho the bar is full.
the second problem is, I couldn't find "recovery_ramdisk"
there is "RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img" and there is "RAMDISK.img"
which one is it?

So I flashed 4 files:
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
fastboot flash ramdisk RAMDISK.img
fastboot flash kernel KERNEL.img
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY_RAMDIS.img
using the Live Linux you mentioned.
Now I'll go back to the dload and see if it works

Hi everyone,my phone totally dead and the only 1 working is edl mode. All my partition backup corrupted. If anyone can help me provide all backup partition i really appreciate it.
You can attempt to flash the KDZ and repair your phone. Try that first, and I'll upload my custom ROMed partitions if necessary.

Get the kdz you want and run it through this kdz extractor: https://gist.github.com/haise0/f3c1f24b0a7a9150603dfd00985c0042. Then flash each of them in qfil after you backed up your partitions. Then you should be able to flash the phone in LGUP. I lost my serial in the process but the phone works after having been stuck in a fastboot loop.
