Phone photos on extsdcard not syncing with Dropbox

Hi, I'm coming from a SGS i9000b to a SGS3, and I neved had problems before syncing photos from the external sdcard to my computer when connecting my phone via USB, but now it reads the internal sd memory only (which is empty, since I decided to store photos on the external sd to save space).
Anyone know how to fix this?
I'm using the UK BLG8 firmware version, and my PC's running Windows 7.
Thx.
Check the settings when you open Dropbox app
Use thanks button if I helped
No, I'm not having problems with uploading (I guess I'll have to change the thread title)
The problem is that photos from the external sd card wont sync with my computer when connecting the phone via USB through the dropbox PC program.
I hope I make myself clear.

[Q] External SD Card Noob Question

I have a few questions on using external sd's. I've searched the forms and have not found a specific answer to my question.
I'm on a Verizon Galaxy S3 running Cyanogen Mod 10 m2. And a 32gb Sandisk MicroSD.
1. How can I set up my external SD as the directory for pictures taken from the camera. When I take a picture, I want it to automatically save to the external memory, and when I open gallery, I want all of my pictures to still be there. (Also how can I do a similar thing with music)
2. What is the easiest way to make file transfers from internal SD to external on a Mac?
Thank you for your help if you need any more clarification let me know.

[Help] How to detect internal storage in Windows 7 in MSC mode with drive letter

Not-so-short background:
I deleted "storage" folder in internal storage while connected to my laptop via MTP. I did this to free-up storage space on Xperia Z Ultra. Not knowing that deleting the seemingly empty and useless folder would be a huge mistake, I went ahead and deleted it casually. Needless to say, it did free-up storage space. It wiped both my internal and SD card.
I managed to recover the contents of my SD card with the help of Recuva after changing the USB connection option to mass storage mode. But this process is not applicable on the phone's internal storage. Most of my recent vacation photos and special occasion videos for the last 5 months are saved in my phone's internal storage. This is one of those moments when you realize the importance of backing up your files online or at least on a different storage device.
I already tried several recovery applications available in Google's Play Store as well as Windows software. They only seem to recover media files I've browsed over the internet and Facebook but not the actual pictures and videos I captured with my phone's camera. Now, I've TRIED to follow guides that help you generate raw file of your entire internal storage, mount it using virtual drives then proceed with using Recuva on it. The thing is, I'm not so much technical as you guys when it comes to installing ADB and advanced Linux stuff that is required to successfully pull it off.

Question:
Is there an easy way to have my Xperia Z Ultra's internal storage be connected to a computer much like a traditional external storage devices and get a drive letter assigned to it? In this way, I can run Recuva once Windows 7 can detect it as a drive.
I hope someone can help me accomplish this. If you have other procedure on how to recover my files on my internal storage, feel free to suggest.

Click to collapse
Sounds like you completely wiped your phone xD
I would suggest flashing a stock ftf with flashtool and you'll lose all internal memory but no ext SD files.

Moto E Can't See Files (Photos/Videos) on Internally Formatted SD Card

Hello,
So I have a problem. I took a photo and was trying to upload it on WhatsApp but my phone would not let me. I checked my Gallery and it said 0 Pictures/Videos. The phone decided to delete (or hide) all my pictures and videos. Now, when I go into my phone's Settings/Storage and USB/SD Card, I can see that there is data worth 3.6GB that is taking space on my SD card but it's not showing up anywhere.
I tried to re-scan my SD card using the "media Re.Scan." app but it didn't work. I have been wracking my brains at it for a couple of days now.
I just want to know if there is any way to force my phone to read the data that is there on my SD card, or to recover those pics and files that are hiding on my SD card. Please note: My phone is not rooted and I formatted the SD card as an internal storage so it only works on my phone. I cannot connect it to my laptop (Macbook). I tried to connect the phone with the USB cable and it does not show up on my laptop at all.
Please help! I need my pics and vids!
Thanks in advance!

Help! Anyway I can move videos and pictures from gallery vault on SD directly to PC?

Basically, my SD Card recently got corrupted. However, the good news is that the files are not lost. I am unable to play the files while on SD Card, however, I am able to move them to Device Storage, and access them.
Also, I am not able to add anything to SD Card.
Now the issue is I have over 4000+ videos and pictures on an application known as Gallery Vault. It consists of a total of 70gb. Therefore, I am unble to remove the file to device storage as I have a very limited device storage.
Can I manage to simply move all the files from Gallery Vault on my SD Card directly to my PC?
