Which rom were you running? With knox? If yes, try flashing the same rom again. I read somewhere that you cannot go back to an earlier firmware if you flash knox enabled firmware. Check with shazzl.
Ok will download latest firmware. Thanks for your reply. I'll get back to you.

Was running stock Sammy firmware and then flashed old one because I didn't want to take any more risks but I screwed up lol. Now bricked

Would the firmware have to be from the same region ?

Is it possible to root my Samsung g925f COI9 version?

I've been dying to root my second Samsung and as far as I know it's not possible to root coi9 at the moment? I hope I'm wrong
Coi9 requires a custom kernal that installs supersu and sets selinux to permissive

So it's not possible flashing the kernel and and supersu sperately through odin? Like Using Alex V recovery in 5.1.1
No that kernal does all of the tweaks and installs during bootup and then you can flash the custom recovery for tour device

Here is how to root but on your device you may loose the use of the fingerprint scanner.
Also go to sammobile and get your latest firmware available for download and get the latest odin from there as well. I always do those steps before alter my device as reassurence that i can restore in case of soft brick

the only thing you can do is flash original rom for your phone with odin.
may be it's your rom base. just install rom stock or choose rom with 925f base

6.0.1 root s6 edge

what is the best method to use for rooting a Galaxy S6 Edge running 6.0.1.
There is a cf-autoroot that you can use for the g925f and g925p it isntalls into recovery then you boot to recovery wait a while and it roots MM. If you do not have either device please state so.

Updating stock ROM using TWRP

I was wondering if it is possible to install updates of the stock EMUI Rom with a custom recovery like TWRP? Or do I have no choice but to use stock recovery for updates ?

I think that you can use HuRUpdater to update using twrp. But first, download the update through firmware finder
