Hi all,
I brought the below product for about 25 Australian dollars. Good deal, good machine had Kodi Netflix
Sadly Netflix was audio lagging something shocking
In my attempts to tweak and minimise background apps and disable as many apps as possible I have half bricked it. (display android name for hours)
I tried the reset button and gets me to a boot screen
I had options to format data and clear cache, tried both, didn't work for me.
Does anyone here have experience with these TV boxes? Can I put a better ROM?
Where would be a good place to start?

I have problems with the pink screen issue on a Sony LCD from 2011. I was told the problems are solved on other TV boxes with new firmwares containing the option ”Force RGB output”. Are there any chances for V88 TV Box manufacturers to resolve this issue?

Hi 4 all.
I bouth this tab few day ago and this tab have 2.1 version of androi.
does it possible to update to like 2.3 or 2.2?
Or maby it's possible to put new clean android 2.1 because i don't like orginal version .
Does anyone know a way to get this out of the 2.1 ROM hole that it seems to be stuck in?
It runs with a Telechips TCC8902 processor and I know there forums on here for that processor and CM7 but the device we have isn't in the list so I'm afraid I'll mess it up if I do anything on there.

have the same specifications, Android version 2.1 Eclair & build description contains EM83 in both devices and they look identical! When I connect mine to Windows 7 PC and set the mode on tablet that I could reach its internal storage, in the device manager properties for USB device you can find name MID EM83 and EM83 is also mentioned in the Build description of both these tablets. I think MID EM83 is the clue to find the real manufacturer of this 8" tablet with Telechips 8902 CPU. I have searched google and read slatedroid.com & androidtablets.net but I couldn't find who is the real manufacturer or confirmed working Android 2.2 or 2.3 firmware or custom firmware ROM's. Maybe you, a person who reads this post, know? I thought it is obvious that ViewQuest Slate 8 & a-rival NAV-PA80 have been made by the same manufacturer and I tried to update ViewQuest with update provided by a-rival for NAV-PA80/NAV-PA83

to update my 8" View Quest Slate2 AND IT WORKED!!!. I believe this proves that they both are made by the same manufacturer or on the same platform designed for Telechips 8902 CPU. I am sure that there are other users who have 8" tablet with Telechips 890x CPU like ViewQuest Slate2 or a-rival PAD NAV-PA80 who do search for modified firmware ROM's to update their device from Android 2.1 to 2.2 or even 2.3 version. If you know were to find these custom ROM's - please let us know!

I would definitely be considered inexperienced at rooting so I have been searching for anyone or any help with trying to root this tablet as well. If there is anyone who could offer any help or maybe point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!
I'm in the same situation. I guess no one here gives a s**t about the Ares 10L NXA101LTE116. i suppose i understand, the tablet is a royal piece of s**t but if it could be rooted i would put linux on it. Maybe raspberry pi could be installed unfortunately i can't get past the locked bootloader.
Hi,
I bought this Chinese tablet, and want to upgrade it to Android 8 or 9.
1: MTK8752 Octa-Core, ARM Cortex [email protected] 1.6—2.0GHz;
2: 4G Bytes LPDDR3
3: Built-in 64G Bytes NAND Flash storage
4: 10.1 inch IPS HD 1280*800 Resolution
Can someone point me to right direction where to get the ROM for this tablet?
Thank you,
The specs looks good with 4GB RAM and Octa-Core processor, but when I run applications on it, they get frozen, and response of scroll and displaying keyboard get slow.
Also the videos on VLC stuck and freezes but behind sound continue to play.
How can I speed up this tablet, any help please?
