[Help] differences between the stock versions - LG G2 Mini

hello I have a D618 and I am a CM user for a long time. But I will come on vacation and need a camera a little better.
I know the original lollipop version has a camera better than the custom roms
I wonder what are the differences between the versions stock: V20a, v20b, v20c, v20d, v20e. and what should install.
thank you all.
Ps: sorry for bad English. I do not use a translator because I want to learn this language

The difference most likely is a branding. And that's all.

They are updates.
The further down the alphabet, the newer the version.
All v20 stock ROMs are Lollipop based.

[q&a] cm 9 & cm 10

I just grew generally tired of all non related talk in the main CM threads, and decided to create this Q&A for those non-dev related purposes.
The forum rules from FXP still applies to this thread.
Do not ask for ETA's.
Hope this wil clutter the dev thread less, and that people will actually use it!
Fire away with questions, and they will be answered!
CM 9 DEV THREAD
CM 10 DEV THREAD
Thanks, now I can ask my question without feeling guilty:
I was just wondering, if I will be able to import stock rom stuff after flashing CM 10, like the dialer and the calendar... I really like their look and prefer it over CM look.

No, at least not in full. It needs Sony's stock framework.
Hi guys, i am very new to android device, I have a few questions about kernal and custom roms.
Lets say after i flashed cm9 into my phone, and I want to get back to stock ICS, how can I do that?
Is it using the recovery function provided that i have make a backup before or I have to flash the stock rom and kernel, which 1 has to be flashed first?

You can restore a backup you made from recovery.

[Xperia S] Root or not?

NEW TO ROOTING
I have an unrooted XS on the latest Sony's update ICS 4.0.4 and I want to install Jelly Bean! Sony has not yet released JB for its devices and we got no clue about the release date (correct me if Im wrong). So I did a search and I found the CyanogenMod which seems to be a good copy of JB! I would also like to extend my phone's battery life if it's possible.
So my questions are: Should I root my phone? If yes, what is the latest version of CM for XS and has anyone tested it for possible bugs? Would you recommend a different ROM?
If you want to install another Rom you need to unlock the bootloader, only a few Roms work without unlocked bootloader.
I heard the s could get jb in November, but that's still a rumour.
To get better battery life you should flash a custom kernel.

If you want to have JB on your XSX you have to flash CM 10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780338) or KangXperiaProject (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844412). Your bootloader has to be unlocked, your device must be rooted (sure). Idk really, but I think camera and HDMI out do not work (correct me if I'm wrong).

[Q] Rom 4.1.2 Rooted

Hi guys,
i trying to find a stable rom rooted for my galaxy s2. I looking for 4.1.2 release but if you know of a newer stable version it's better.
The important things is that is stable.
Thanks in advance
Go for NeatROM xwms2, or flash WanamLite if you want pure stock.
Or take stock Samsung and flash philz kernel if you want 100% stock with all the bloatware.

Try CM 10.2. it stable and most sorted out. but as one member said there are many options so look for things you dont like in CM 10.2 and search which ROM has them. it a big world. you have to do some reading.
Thread closed as its a best ROM thread.
OP please do not be lazy, and also remember that what works best for one person may not work best for someone else due to differences in how you use the device and what for.

Flash 15s, gets screen split in the middle and opposite

Hi friends.
Yesterday I Flashed the ROM 15s through TWRP not sure about if it is Indian or Chinese ROM, my phone is x820, after the flash my phone booted with the screen split in the middle and opposite, however the touch was responsable like always in the original distribution, so was very annoying to navigate in the phone...
Anyway, some of you know why this happens? I flash in the wrong way? I missed something?
Why such an OLD ROM? I recommend you 20s from Madsurfer. Do a clean install.
I want to start over, and updating by OTa. I have tried all the Roms. In fact I am now with the dev21s from Madsurfer which for me is great. The problem is that I am having an issue with BT with many Roms. So I want to go back.
try the rom of "cuoco" works fine or "small eui 5.9"

Hi icerebro,
Were you able to solve the problem on the screen?
I'm having the same problem though, it occurred after restoring the device from a brick, with the dev-qfyl version.
Thanks!

Yes I did, I realized that had to use another version of TWRP and be sure about the version of the ROM you are installing.
this happened to me today. i flashed 14s cn and got the splitscreen, even in twrp. flashed 16s cn and it's back to normal.
don't panic

The TWRP version that you are using isn't compatible with the 014s that you just flashed. Until 015s the EUI was 5.6 and had a different kernel than 016s which is 5.8. Therefore the TWRP versions are different. Flashing wrong ROMs will render your phone with split screen issue or won't boot at all, it depends.
Simply put, search for TWRP 5.8 TeaMSpaiN that works with almost everything above 016s and TWRP 3.0.2 for any version below.
i experimented a lot yesterday with qfil/flashone. for me it looks like it is not kernel related. i flashed different kernel and the issue remained.
what i found is: if you replace the file emmc_appsboot.mbn (seems to be the bootloader, isn't it?) with a newer one (i took it from 20s), no splitscreen occurs. the qfil-dev and 14s roms boot up and behave absolutely normal. also there is no splitscreen in fastboot and twrp but there is a problem with stock recovery. the left side of the screen is covered by some kind of white-noise pattern and it reboots after a few seconds. it looks very much like the pattern we covered in the "screen flickering" thread.
