Help.
Is there a guide in how to update at latest stock version? I am at v6 now and I want to keep all the materials in my tablet.
Thanks!

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/ota Get the file and choose Install then locate the ota and choose Install Image. No wipe with OTA.

I am at an asop version. Ota wouldn't work in my case.

Look here in ::
Section:4 How to flash any ICS 4.0.x & 4.1.x JellyBean based rom
and
download the ::
CWM4 fixed for cm7
and the ::
GB bootloaders
follow all of the section 4 instructions... perfect...

Sounds like you are currently running a rooted stock ROM, correct? From here just Odin cwm fixed for cm7, and follow guide from there. Even if you were to flash back to stock you don't need to root in order to flash cwm. Hope this helped.

Place the cwm .tar file in PDA slot in Odin - make sure repartition is NOT checked. Press start and profit.
Step 13 of section 4 of droidstyle's guide tells you how to do this, it was linked above. You really should use his guide. He puts a lot of work into maintaining it and keeps links up to date. Not to mention it is damn near fool proof.

Read .... Read and read then flash 4.1.2 with odin

Does this mean that there is no OTA path? And is that because the version is so far behind current?

Well you should've had an OTA flash request, no doubt of that.
But yeah, since it has been so long i would also recommend flashing a Stock Official Samsung ROM with version 4.1.2 aka Jelly Bean via ODin.
T-Mobile version as in....?

My current baseband is the i605vrall4 and im running beans 19....does this need to be updated to the newest vramc3 or is it fine running vrall4?? If I need to update could someone give me instructions on how to do this? Thanks

The latest is VRAMC3...but the changes were minor and if you have no issues on VRALL3 you don't necessarily need to update it. If you want to anyway you just need to flash the new modem in recovery. Search for Vramc3 and you will get the link to download it. You could also wait and flash it whenever build 20 comes out and you flash that...two birds, one stone.

Yep, that's it. Flash in recovery just like you did with the ROM. But if you aren't having any issues you could also wait for your next ROM flash. Just flash the ROM first, and then the modem. Either way...just don't expect anything major to change with VRAMC3, I sure didn't notice anything.
Whats the newest baseband out?
All my Note 2s are using old Roms ive had radio issues using lollipop. Just wanted to make sure my baseband is current.
Reason being is everytime I goto Canada now from the US I gotta switch to GSM instead of CDMA to get service. It used to be okay leaving it on CDMA.
Also I get nothing using the Global selection in the US or Canada…
Currently using i605VRALLJB
Are we going to get the 4.4.2 or 4.4.3? Im starting to think its not coming. I do know the developers can bring it but the last time I wanted to try a rom I flashed the twrp.img it screwed up my phone where I had to reflash stock using pit file and stock image. Is there an recovery stable that will let me flash custom ROMs? I like to erase and flash ROMs without keeping stock. I have the Verizon black mist Samsung galaxy s4. What recover do you recommend?

Well... You most likely don't have an MDK S4 or Dev S4 right? In that case SafeStrap can be your recovery and you'll only be able to flash TW ROMs corresponding to whatever build your stock ROM is.

If you use that tar, that will put your phone back to factory stock out of the box with the newest software version. If you are looking for the latest version of twrp, just Google and then you can reroot and then put twrp back on. Use Odin to do it all. Hope that helps. Now if you are already rooted, then yes, just find the latest version of twrp and then flash in Odin.
