Hi,
I am newbie at roms and installation of them. I was trying to install Android Revolution HD and it said that install super wipe and then install android revultion ROM. i applied that and that super wiped my all data including the internal SD where i put the rom. Now i dont have an external memory card. and now my phone is stuck in CWM. I am on Mac OS and i am trying to figure out a way to copy the ROM back on to the SD but its saying error mounting card etc and i cant read it in my mac anymore.
Would appreciate any help in this regard. Please consider the fact that i am on Mac as well..
Thanks.
Same happened to me.
Flash another rom via Odin and your phone will be fine

I don't have this device, but what did you do just before you started to bootloop? What did you format in recovery?
I think the first thing to try is to use recovery to restore a back up of your device. If you don't have one you or if it doesn't work you will probably have to restore the factory firmware. How you do this depends on your phone...

Hi guys,
I can't work out why but when I go to wipe all settings then install custom rom from zip file in cmw recovery, it completes normally but after the reboot it just stays on the android bot. I went back into recovery and managed the phone through usb to my PC & saw that in the phone storage there was nothing where there is obviously supposed to be boot files. I have installed this custom rom before & it has been no problem. I also have tried a few other roms (all that i've tried before & they all work) and the same thing happens. I have found one rom that worked strangley and when I manged the phone on my PC i saw that it has placed the boot files on the sd card (not the phone storage).
how can i fix this.
i am very new to rooting so please no complicated talk
can someone not help? this is a big issue.
ill try and explain the problem in more detail below...
i have been messing with my phone lately using CMW TOUCH to wipe my data then install rom from zip. everything was going great until now.
i want to install a rom (that i have installed before.so i know its compatible with my phone), i go through tge same procedure of wiping data then installing from zip.all goes the way it should with it telling me its installing from zip, after a while it tells me to reboot the phone. when i do all that happens is it stay on the green android bot for 1 min then reboots. i went into CMW TOUCH to connect phone to pc & found out that it installed nothing, nothing on the phone storage and on the sd card except the custom rom.
i have tried this with few other roms all with the same results.
NOW...
ive managed to find a rom that will install so it is functional all except recently after a reboot it has stopped detecting the sim, weird.
i connected the phone to my pc to find that all boot files are stored on the sd card not phone storage like it used to.
i had an idea that i will try later today and that is to move the custom rom over to the phone storage from the sd card. remove the sd card during install. maybe that will force the install to use the phone storage for the boot files
will let you know the outcome
jamos
i have just tried to install the rom with the sdcard removed from phone & the same thing happened. even though during the installation it tells me that it is formatting system then installing it installs nothing to the phone storage.
hi all,
i came here with deeply desperate. i lost video of my wife giving birth.
it happened when i move videos from internal memory to external memory.
suddenly the files in external corrupted. the files name appears gibberish
there are two method i tried for the past 3 days
1. try to recovery from external (micro sd) using MiniTool Power Data Recovery, Wondershare Data Recovery, DRW. since i turned out that sd card have bad sector, the recovery progress stuck in 4%
2. try to recover directly from the phone. i also have issue with this method. since it requires me to the root the phone.
yes, without rooting i still can use software to discover lost data, but the softwares told me if it can discovery much more data if the phone is rooted) . unfortunately i cant find rooting method without flashing the rom. i dont want flash the rom , because if i do so im afraid the moved videos will be more difficult to recover. i also try once click root like framaroot, king root/ kingo root, Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android, none of them succeed rooting my phone (Lenovo Vibe P1 Turbo)
can anyone help me to recovery the file.
or please give me alternative how to root without flashing rom
thanks in advance
Hello esutisna,
So sad to hear that you lost such a precious data from your device!!!
I know how it feels.
So you have tried many things but still there is no hope.
Now I would like to suggest you an alternative approach using your PC.
It will be best if you have windows.
Go and download Recuva
https://www.piriform.com/recuva
this is the link.
connect your device to the computer and check that your device is connected as media transfer device long for MTP.
Now start and install recuva.
On the desktop, launch the recuva again using the shortcut.
It will ask you to recover file from the path.
Select Media Device.
Then select the type of file you want to recover, in your case it is Video.
Select it and hit recover.
It will work as magic and all your lost data will be recovered.
All though there is a chance that it may not work if you have by mistake format your internal memory of forcefully rebooted the device.
Please tell me how it goes.
I will be happy to help further!!!

Hey, I have a verykool RS90, this phone apparently has no software and doesnt get past the logo, Ive tried to install a ROM using SD card but i cant, It also cant be connected to the computer becuase ive tried to flash it and it doesnt read the device, any help would be greatly appreciated, on the recovery screen it only allowes me to reboot it and install an update package using external memory, I dont understand how to do this, pls contact me if you understand this, im willing to work with anything to try and get it working
I'd assume that external memory is USB, or SD card, if it will show non the menu for the later.
What happens when you try a install the ROM? Can you select the SD card? Does if flash the ROM?

The update package / the update media is a system file (called a "software image") stored on a microSD memory card. It's on you the create the update media. - correctly formatting it, putting the correct update.zip on it. After the update media is created, the memory card will be used to load a new version of the Android operating system on your phone. In Recovery mode select "apply update from external sd card".
