Sometimes when I charge to 100% and unplug my VS990 gets hot and drains the battery VERY quickly. I Check the battery usage and I see the graph with a drop that looks similar to King Da Kah and it will tell me that I have 3 hours left. If I pull the battery and reboot (sometimes 3 or 4 times) it will show a more normal representation of the battery drain and tell me I'll have 10 hours or more.
I firmly believe this is because LG has NOT updated to 6.0.1 even though it was available 4 months prior to updating to Marshmallow. Now we are 9 months after 6.0.1 was released and no update.
I literally just went through a factory reset and still the same farm thing.
Is anyone else frustrated with this phone as I am? I keep a charger and a second battery with me all the time. None of these issues in Lollipop and LG and VZW have yet to fix the phone with 6.0.1.
Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
I have zero issues with battery drain. My phone lasts all day with moderate usage. You might have a hardware issue or app draining the battery. Have you reflashed marshmallow with LGUP starting fresh.
I have not done that. That will be the next step. I hate having to set up all over again.

This is what happens after a full charge.
That first screenshot is really weird. Everything looks good for the first hour or so...then bam.
Happens with both batteries I assume? Did you try pulling out some of the apps or their updates? Then reloading them? Saw that somewhere.

I have certain apps that I must have. But I have factory reset the device. Today is not so bad. I'm chalking this up to not having 6.0.1.
Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Yep! A reflash will help. My extended battery gets me through a day, but never with a standard battery. I have to constantly charge on a standard battery. I am sure it is due to the apps installed which is why it varies from one person to the next. I would also remove all un-used apps to keep all the background activity to a minimum.

I have not noticed much difference on Marshmallow, unfortunately. Don't defer the update for battery reasons. Defer if you want possibility of root, but otherwise, Marshmallow has been just fine for me.
How do I re-flash? I'm not rooted and when I plug into the LG update software my phone appears and when I click it I get no option to Repair the software.

Hi guys,
I charged my phone to 100%. After I was heavily using it, browsing, going on twitter, etc. And I notice the battery only dropped to 99% while I was using it. It should of at least dropped to 95%.. But when I locked the phone, I waited a minute and unlocked it again then I see the percentage is 92%... Is this normal? I never experienced this before..
I am on stock LFB. I did not root or install any custom roms yet.
Yh I think it's normal. On stock Rom. I stand to be corrected but I think it's not very accurate. There's a mod for it I think. Might need root access. But then u may aswell flash cm10

Nope was always on stock.
I think it is normal. It happens to me as well. Only while using battery intensive apps like gps. While using gps, my battery percentage did not change at all for the 20 minutes of usage. Then all of sudden it dropped by 15%.

You think its a software issue or hardware issue? Could be the battery?
Does it make any difference what charger I am using? I live in Canada and I can't use the charger it came with since it is an international charger.
I used my old iPhone charger instead to charge it.
I also have this issue.
my battery stays stuck at 100% for quite some time, then again at around 20% or so.
Hello all,
This morning, I woke up at 6, as usual, for work. I removed my phone from the charger around 6:30. It was at 100%. I turned off WiFi and put the phone in my pocket. Got in the car and went to work. I look at my phone when I get to work and it's at 46%. I didn't use it for anything in the 15 minutes it takes to get to work. I actually didn't even turn the screen on until I sat down at my desk at 7:00.
Any idea what would cause this? On normal standby with average use yesterday, it didn't get to 46% until 7 pm last night.
I have attached screens. Thanks for all of your help.

As far as I know, T-Mobile doesn't have 4G LTE in my area. I appreciate the reply, though.
oh yeah not LTE but still a 4G signal.
and the top of the list is Cell Standby, as far as I know that is your Mobile Signal/Data battery drain

If your carrier don't support it, you need to disable it because it will drain your battery in standby mode.

People said that's because of the 4G. Looks a bit stupid to use so much battery in so mess time. You should still check BBS later. As I see in your screens, the phone had no time to collect enough data. Leave the app started during 1-2 hours and check it after. If possible, don't use the phone during this time. Exactly, you need to leave it few hours in the same way you left it when spent all the battery.
The differences between the S3 I9300 and SGH-T999 are that your phone is dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon with 2 gigs of RAM while our phone (GT-I9300) is quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 Quad with 1 gigs of RAM and the firmware isn't compatible one with the other. You can see the diference here: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4804&idPhone2=4238

Hello, all, since I've had my Note 2 I've been incredibly impressed with the battery live, much better than other droids I've owned. Within the last two weeks or so, however, I've seen a dramatic drop in battery life. Where I used to be able to last a day and a half without charging, The phone is now not capable of lasting through the day. There hasn't been any real change in my usage patterns, but I am constantly trying new apps, so I figured that one of the new ones must be the culprit. The stock battery stats indicated that Android System was consuming about 41 percent of the battery, which based on previous readings and having owned other droids seemed much too high. I downloaded Battery Stats Plus, which indicated hat the rogue app was wssyncmldm, consuming that same 41 percent. I wasn't familiar with this app, but google revealed that it manages ota updates? I tried rebooting the phone, and went back to Battery Stats Plus, which now indicated that same 41 percent, but named the app "Factory Test." I let the phone charge overnight to a full 100, then checking again today, I'm seeing similar numbers. Today Factory Test is listed at about 33 percent. Both apps are active in application manager, and reappear as soon as I force close them. Neither can be disabled on my stock, non-rooted note 2. I've not tried the factory reset just yet, was hoping to avoid that, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions.
Thanks so much, all!!!

I'm not sure how much help I can be, but I'll do my best.
Let's start with the obvious things
1. Try uninstalling any apps that you recently installed
2. In application manager go under all and look for the "wssyncmldm" culprit. I don't have it in my application manager but I have one that is very close in name
3. Have you recently installed any OTAs?
4. Are you rooted by any chance?
5. When I updated to the 4.1.2 update, I had a similar battery issue. I just ended up backing up all my apps with "Helium" (No root required if you plug it into a pc with some directions) and just did a factory in settings. It fixed the battery issue for me, though I never looked into it to see if it was this same culprit.
I hope I can help in some way, I'll try my best though!

I've been on MJ7 for about a week now and I've noticed battery life is worse. My biggest user is the screen followed by Android OS. Android OS was never this high on the list before. Any ideas why this is happening?
i have not had any issues with battery life on MJ7 so far. at first i thought it was worse, but now it appears to have smoothed out. i let my phone go completely dead on the battery and then keep on the charger til its fully charged. that seemed to help out my battery life. i think i actually get better battery life after the upgrade. you could try a factory reset. or maybe seeing if any other apps are draining your battery, obviously if you do a lot of gaming or have your screen on for long periods of time your battery drains quicker. you may also want to turn your "auto brightness" off and manually control the screen brightness as its a battery killer

Not a thing. They were just there one day. I mean I update all my Google apps on the watch but that's it.
Got it too a few days ago.
First noticed the update at play store and then found the tiles at the watch. So the app update is totally connected to the watch update.
Truth is that is not anything interesting for me, as it's closely focused on fit menus, which I don't use and even the news tile seems to be useless, as I can't find to change the country of news.
