So, today I realized that the last update I had gotten was the July update, and that my watch hasn't had any security updates since. Is this the official EOL?
I understand we'll never get Wear 2.0, but what about monthly security updates? Other watches still get em, so why stop now?
Well I guess I stand corrected... After almost 4 months of no updates, the November update landed here. I guess LG/Google hasn't completely abandoned us yet...

LG is quite nice to be updating the security update for the device.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...ng-g-pad-gpe-updated-latest-security-patches/
Take a look at this, they are providing security update to a 3 years old device although they are not updating it to latest firmware

Yesterday he also announced that tomorrow(today) is the day)
To my information the OTA to update to Lollipop will start tomorrow on the 21st. Be on the look out for the update.

Just about 10am in Round Rock and no update yet...
11:30 AM and nothing for me.
Read the last page. Unfortunately the same guy replied that said the update will not be today and that it's been delayed yet again. No new date given now. Extremely frustrating.
How is it that they already have Lollipop on their newly announced Venue 10 with the same basic hardware specs? I just hope that it being OTA truly means OTA and doesn't require me to reformat and reload all my apps/data, otherwise I might as well have used the Lollipop AOSP hack that was published here awhile back.

Care to share that hack? I didn't see anything about 5.0. At this point I'll do it and start over. I'm so frustrated with Dell.

This is fake
Oh yeah, I saw that one. Definitely fake. Wish it were real though lol.
I don't own this device but I'm curious why no one has yet built a ROM for any of the 6 Dell Venues that have the Unsigned Kernel image support, the 5 that are xx40 series I figured someone could of built a semi functional Android-5.x.x being all five are merrifield based soc
Just got my OTA and installing now
Yeah I'm getting some kind of update but it's soooo slow downloading. Couple of hours at best.

My guess people were up and waiting, someone who has already got the update could upload it for others if they wanted to, most people won't only wanting to update their own device not concerned about others.
If someone uploads it that would help, if not then wait for dell servers to free up.
Anyway good luck.
Well as opposed to the slow download, 5.0.2 is pretty snappy in use.

Does any one have the ota so I can patch the stock firmware to investigate rooting it?

5.11 have a bug of power consumption.
If i recall right it took almost 6 months from sony to update z1 from kitkat to lollipop from a lollipops release day. And there is no quarantee that marshmellow will give you better battery life.

What bug you are referring to? There was memory leak at 5.0, but should be fixed already.

Network standby costs a high percentage of the battery, find some solution that need to modify the adb to fix it, it is very complex.
The z3c was updated in March.
End of December if you ask me. Telstra will give the z4 tab update in january so it is safe to say that we will get it in December
I'm betting on a January release timeframe but this is not based on any source. We do know that they're already testing Marshmellow on Z3 and Z3c models in limited beta so at least we know they've already started.

How does Telstra (Australia) have anything to do with the general Z5C Marshmallow ETA, unless they are your Telco?
The other 99.9% of Z5C users will have zero interest in when Telstra decide to "give" an update anything.
Hopefully non branded Marshmallow will arrive prior to the end of the year.
Bruh. Branded firmwares get the update AFTER the unbranded ones usually. So that's what I meant. So Telstra giving an update does matter

Come on...
He shared that information to estimate a possibility range for the Z5C.
If a carrier is going to release 6.0 in January for another Sony device, You could assume that the OTA for the Z5C/Z5, current flagships, (in general) will be before January.
Sent from my E5823
Sorry, Being a bit harsh. I wouldn't rely on a Telstra estimate thats all. If the Sony OTA is delayed, Telstra will simply kick the ball down the road.
Yes that's also true. Since the carriers doesn't have the final word for an update.

Jusy casually checking my phone and BOOM! Can't wait to finish downloading ?
You are about a week late to the party....
Yet my H870 hasn't got it yet...
H870 for South America has not received the update yet.
Took an age but just downloaded Oreo. Will update after a few days of use!
Wife's H870 updated yesterday evening. I updated mine manually a few hours before using LG Bridge (I was on Fulmics 4.2, so it didn't want to OTA itself).

After almost a month's worth of use, I'm not noticing any difference in performance. Admittedly I'm still running the ROM with as many different things disabled/restricted due to the battery drain issue I had running Nougat. I'll have to see about performing a factory reset and see how well it performs.
Will keep you posted
I have got a v20b upgrade. It fix issues only. They could give US Oreo 8.1.0 with June patch.

X.1 bump sometimes is more difficult than we might think. It's mostly new base, new API level, etc... I just hope they fixed most bugs, it's a pity you didn't take any screenshot of a changelog... ;/

I found only on polish forum info about fix which remove lack of LTE when using a different card than the operator.
FWIW I got notified about what I assume is an official Pie update today. It's not the same version number as another post in here though:

To be honest, you're not missing anything ground breaking although I must admit almost everything that's different is a nice change. My one big exception:
Y the truck did they switch which side they put the time on? Ridiculous.
That said, the upgrade was the smoothest I think I've ever experienced for any OS, desktop or mobile, ever.
I run the Nova Launcher and the update has not interfered with that at all. So my preferred tweaks, apart from moving the bloody time, have all been preserved.
Perhaps the biggest promised feature I'd like to think will be legitimate is battery saving. No real indication of any ground breaking changes there so far though it's only been 24 hours ?
I do understand that it's not fun to be kept waiting and feel a bit left behind.

Got it in Hungary on the 7th as well. Unfortunately the update includes a crippled version of the Dolby Audio app, which has no EQ anymore (WTF???) So make a copy of the app before the update.
Shoot, you're right! Never noticed. Bugger.

Looks like users are recieving Androit 10 OTA update in RETBR update channel. Build nr QPK30.51.
This could be beta, but it looks like not only MFN registered customers are getting the update.
Meantime, I saw that EURO RETAIL got PIE december patch update so I'm not sure what's going on.
Please fill me in if you have more info, if you recieved the update, or just want to talk about the update, Android 10 bugs, or whatever.

when?????
Good question. Beta program have been going on for quite some time now.
I wonder what's taking so long for Moto..
they just sent me another 9 security patch, I'm starting to think there will be no android 10 update for us.
Yup, just a security patch. I recently bought this phone in a hurry, and in my previous investigation I read somewhere the Motorola One would receive Android 10 at the second quarter of 2020, so I guess we'll have to wait. The Motorola Brazil reps said in Twitter there will be news for our device "pretty soon", but I guess that's just their standard answer.
