Currently I use wireless tethering installed from the Market to tether my phone. If a cable is on hand, is wired tether a preferred method? I'm running CyanogenEris v1.1 and noticed under Settings->Wireless & Network Settings there is a checkbox for Internet Tethering. How do I set this up?
Thanks in advance.

Wired I think is better because it helps keep you phone charged and tethering eats up your battery. Wireless is best for other mobile devices. Like I use it with an iPad, Zune, and other stuff.
Can somebody running CyanogenEris tell me how they wire tether? Before I rooted, I used pdanet. After flashing CyanogenEris I cannot seem to get it to work. Can somebody confirm, or tell me this was merely operator error.
Hello people,
My problem is tethering, obviously!
I usually tether via wi-fi hotspot in my device and it works perfectly. These days, whenever I tether and open the BitTorrent, the net connection stops I don't know why ..?! I tether in order to use the bittorent. Is there any sort of explanation for this? Or a solution?
Plz help
& THANKS in advance =)
I'm having an issue with Wifi Tether Treve Mod running rooted stock. Everytime I load up Wifi Tether and attempt to connect my Xbox 360 to it I get an IP Address error. On the Wifi Tether end I am not getting the prompt asking to allow access, and I have enable access control box checked. I tried for 10 hours last night, trying every combination I could think of and none of them worked. Can anyone help me with this or know what could be causing it? Thanks in advance!
As of yesterday Foxfi (wifi hotspot) has been blocked on my MetroPCS phone. My guess is that it has to do with Metropcs' T-mobile merger. Foxfi is on, updated, but my wifi hotspot is not being broadcast. I went to update Foxfi via the Google Play store and saw something to the effect of "if you have t-mobile use usb connection). So the app does NOT work with Metropcs/Tmobile now.
Is there a hack for this? My phone is already rooted. I use my lg motion and pdanet+ as a usb tether for my laptop and also as a wifi hotspot with Foxfi for an Android Tablet.
?
Does anyone have have any advice?

Does anyone know of a working WiFi tether app for stock rooted?
I have tethering working with built in but it doesn't go through my VPN program.
I have tried using hotspot shield and with that enabled all data through built in hotspot program fails to load anything.
I used to use WiFi tether for root users with my HTC amazed and hotspot shield and that worked but not with this device since I have had it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
