So I just ordered one of these from Gearbest.
Looks like a nice piece of kit for the price and was hopeful that someone here would be able to point me in the direction to setting up root on this.
It's been a few years since I tinkered with root ( Nexus 4 my last rooted phone ? ).
Any help would be appreciated for researching a root method for when the device arrives.

I'm interested in (developing?) a clean ROM for this device, anyone can show me some pointers on how to do that?
Do these Chinese boxes contain any spyware? Or are they clean and don't upload user data/meta data besides GAPS being installed and uploading to google.
I have some experience with the Droid Maxx (android 4.4.4); altering the system image under linux but that knowledge is probably outdated.

That's the problem with Chinese phones of unknown brands. With unknown hardwares/ softwares, you're never gonna have success rooting it. I'll suggest that you use it normally. Forget about its development and stuff.

maybe you can search for a mobile phone store, which could contact the manufacture.

On my old Samsung Ace Plus phone running an older Android version v2.x, I used to read/save contacts directly to google (shown below in picture) because I simply don't wanna save on phone or sim card. For some reason, I didn't find this option on my LG G2 international version thinking that this feature have been removed for some reason from KK4.4.2 which I'm running so I missed it a lot but there was nothing to do about it since I didn't find it also on e.g. Samsung S4 running KK which kinda confirmed to me that it's a KK thing and not mobile dependent.
Is there any one who have seen this feature back on Android L which I'm waiting for, officially, in early 2015?

it's not persistent! I tried it millions of times before but for some mysterious reason, I have to go through the whole boring process of choosing where to save my contact every time I create a new contact!

hi i don't understand this spec, is this a rk3066 or rk3288 ?
rk3066 is a duo core processor and 3288 is quad core.
Note that the cpu clock is correct if is really 3066 , but the core ? ?
and rk3066 is mali 400 .

Sorry for disturbance but I gave ahisense sero 8 pro tablet and I wanted to ask you a few questions
1. I always suffer from random touch problems where the screen causes unwanted clicks I don't know if this means too much sensitivity r what
.2. Zooming and unzooming by finger punching is a bit slow and erratic
Any solution??!! If mine is defective
3. What about the battery life for you ..I hardly get 7 hours of screen display
4. the firmware on the hiserhse website updated than the factory version

Iv tried to root my my sprint lg g3 running stock 5.0. 1 many times. Using the one click root v1.2 v1.3. They both never root. Each time I have to manually put the phone in download mode. Then the script says found phone. Rooting. And stays there. Is there another method? Any YouTube videos? Iv searched and seems to be the 5.0.1 version is patched to the one click method? Thank you

This is what I'm getting. It will stay on rooting phone. When when I finally unplug it, it will state the rest. It never roots.

Seems like the latest version is 1.3. You may have to wait for newer version or downgrade back to zv4 to use Stump root.

Hi guys, I also am having issues rooting 5.0.1 LGL990 I have tried every method for the LG G3 besides Stump root. Every method will get me to 90% or I can get to the Download software screen and then nothing happens. It is very frustrating

I would be also interested. Here a screenshot of what MTK Droid Tools shows me (see attached image).
So far I was not able to Root the phone - if anyone knows how this is done help or links would be highly appreciated.
Also I was not able to find a suitable ROM so far at Need Rom or anywhere else. I'd like to install a reliable and safe (no spyware, bloatware or stuff which abuse camera, SMS, phone, network etc. to secretly transmit things).
Any help is highly appreciated!
