Actionbar buttons missing from standard Android apps? - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi,
I have a Tanix TX5 Pro TV-box which I use Leanback launcher with. I have installed apps like Tasker and Titanium backup and I have noticed that all apps that use the top actionbar is missing it's buttons.
Check out this (bad) screenshot from my box:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You can see that the top actionbar is visible, but the checkmark and cross which should be there isn't visible.
Same thing with Titanium backup, I can't perform a backup or restore because there is no way to proceed.
Everything else is working fine, it is just when using apps that have actionbars I can't access the buttons.
Any ideas?

Am I alone with this problem? I can't figure this one out?
Would love some help!

I wish there were an easier option, the action bar is removed from lean back is the issue, I was hoping there was one with an overlay you could install but I have not found anything.

Dock Icon in PNG shows blank

Hello,
I'm really really new in terms of customization but of course I'd like to learn and try.
I have Launcher Pro installed and I wanted to change the dock.
When I click on the App Drawer Icon and select the png file I want to replace it with, it's just totally blank
Here is the icon I want to put (the 2nd one): thecustomandroid (dot) com /2011/10/docks-by-desylvia/
In fact I'm trying to get this overall look but with no tutorial it's not easy and I don't want theme packages, I prefer personal customization with different widgets etc. And I like that dock but I just can't find it anywhere. I've read it's from Gomorrah.
Anyway, I just need help with the PNG icon, I'll do some additional research for the rest .

Oh and by the way this lock screen and the homescreen are from Desylvia.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I've used Desktop VisualizeR & QuickShortcutMaker to create app shortcuts (with the name as a blank space) for most of my apps. However there a couple of "live" shortcut icons like Messaging that don't respond well to that technique. Is there another way to achieve what I describe in the above image?

If you are rooted, Nottach Xposed has an option to disable the names: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293956. It's under 'Launcher>Hide dock app labels'.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I'm unrooted and that's not going to be happening very soon since I updated the firmware.

[Q] Remove Notification Icon

This icon appears whenever my data allowance has been used up. My network who are usually useful with things like this were otherwise on this occasion.
My phone is rooted with CM and terminal editor. Although I've not well versed in terminal editor I can follow instructions, like adding read/write to the system folder so I could delete system apps.
Any help in the matter is greatly appreciated.

Not sure entirely which app controls that, but you can find out by long pressing on the notification drawer then choosing App Info - should have the option to uncheck notifications. Unless it's system app that doesn't have that option. Then you could look into using the Xposed Framework and something like this: http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.defim.apk.notifyclean

Hidden apps to display

Hello guys! #firstpost
When I was fiddling (usually) with my Redmi Note 8, I was noticing there are some apps that seem accessible, yet can't be seen on home screen (MIUI 12.0.5.0 currently).
I'll show you:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I dunno why they're not displayed on home screen. I've sort of heard that they actually can't (I dunno if it's true).
So I come here asking for a solution, if possible.
Those are system apps, they aren’t supposed to be accessible.

Some system apps arent displayed pn the home screen, depends on the manufacturer.
Plus some system apps are just proccesses or vital system apps which cannot be opened.

How do I remove Bottom Bar on Android 12 GSI?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the bottom bar on my Android 12 device. I have a T40Pro running PHH Android 12 gsi, and I absolutely LOVE it, but this bar is absolutely a PAIN and makes me want to go back to the regular rom thats how upsetting it is to me.
If you holw the bottom bar it will hide itself, but will randomly pop back up, and upon reboot will come back up, and will also get in the way of Microsoft Launcher where the launcher thinks nothing is there and will put the docked icons behind the bar, and since i can't hit empty space I can't hide the bar again.
I am rooted, so I can remove system apps if thats what is takes. I have searched and there are suggestions like turn off suggested apps, etc, but that setting is not on this tablet so I am at a loss. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!
