I did mine the other day. It's syil 108. When I tried to use easy root it didn't work. But I went to towel root website and downloaded the apk and rerooted that way and then installed supersu in market. Im on locked bl at the moment.

Ok I'm done with the update. Just to be clear, you're saying that easy root, something designed to root Xperia devices, doesnt work but the normal towelroot does?
Note: I dont mean to come across as condescending, I'm just making sure.

Yes. For me on a locked bl. Both the easy root tool for Xperia devices and nuts dual boot didn't work for me rooting wise. I used towel root itself and then installed supersu and then used dual boot recovery installer and got my recovery back. But you may have different results.

Nope its still 108. But its 4.4.4 instead of 4.4.2 so I dont really know what 133 firmware could bring to the table. The next version of android is already Android L so 133 should technically be Android L which isnt even released yet... Not sure whats happening.
And i think what hes saying is that the newest version of 108 patches against easy root. I think you're using the older 108 firmware, which is still rootable by easy root.
if someone recives the Update .133 can you test this, please:

.133 will not be android L or 5.0 it is likely to be a carrier update like 118 is or just a minor update

That's normal. It just changes from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4. I think Sony didn't think it was big enough an update to change the build number.

Marshmallow beta 6.0

Has anyone cancelled there beta version in the programme like i did and then decided to leave marshmallow on instead of going back to 5.1? If so does this mean that i wont get 6.01 update? Been trying for a while now but to no avail
Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
I'm not sure what it is you're asking but I'll give you my experience.
I signed up for the Beta, got it, installed it, and have been running it since. At some point during this time I connected the phone to Smart Switch (Samsung app in my computer) and it asked me to update the software. Not realizing this was a 5.1.1 update, and thinking this was an update related to the 6.0 beta, I said yes. It was indeed 5.1.1 which wiped my phone and restored it to factory. I did a manual OTA check and the 6.0 beta was available to be downloaded, since I was still in the program. I downloaded it and installed it. Today I got the 6.0.1 update and installed it without issues.
Point being, you can go back to 5.1.1 any time, just install Smart Switch and connect your phone. And it seems you can continue on to 6.0 by searching for an OTA update.
I think he means will he still get the update even though he cancelled it, meaning hes not registered in the beta anymore, but he kept marshmallow on instead of downgrading back to 5.1. Can you not try reregistering with the beta. I dunno.

Android Security Patch Level / OTA

I opt-in for Android Beta Program a while back (to get Android Nougat), however today is December 8ths and yet I'm still on October security patch...
Am I the only one who didn't get update?
Not the only one. Some people on the Nexus 9 subreddit said they never got an OTA for the 7.1 beta. And now 7.1.1 is officially out. Just hoping to get the OTA for that ASAP.
Same for me, was enrolled in beta program and on october stable. Ive unenrolled now and immediately got the november update offered. (without wipe)

I just got update to 7.1.1
Did you get this after un-enrolling or are you still enrolled in the beta program?

Is there a way to force the update? I've tried doing a factory reset twice (once enrolled in beta, the other time I was not). I received security updates for October and November, but no 7.1.1

What changed in the QPMS30.80-109-2 update?

I used Lenovo rescue to update my G Power to the QPMS30.80-109-2 version (from QPMS30.80-51-5) and I was wondering what is different. I think it is strange that this update was not OTA. It is also still on the July security patch.
The update was released on August 31st 2020 according to a mirror

Haven't noticed anything different either. I thought it was also an updated version, but doesn't look like it.

No, no crashes. I updated using the Lenovo rescue, removed the erase user data line from the XML file.
I never got the Ota update.
Retus G Power here. The OTA update is QPMS30.80-51-8 with the September 1, 2020 security patch. The LMSA downloads the QPMS30.80-109-2 version for some reason.

Maybe due to LMSA only downloads full firmware and its not available yet.
Ok so got the Google Fi version. It's a -4 model so no OTA update yet. Help?

Question January Full OTA Image Available

Hi all,
Google has posted the full OTA images for the January P6 / P6 Pro update.
Doesn't look we have location specific versions this time (like November). No Verizon built yet either.

Google starts rolling out January update for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro
Hitting the late January target precisely / a few days early, the next patch for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro is now beginning to roll out following a long delay...

Looks like the unified the builds as there is only 1 build out, so I would imagine so. But....ya never know if they will release another build later on like they did for the December Aussie people.

OTA nothing. Sideloaded now. I have no fear here after the December mess. Was already on the Dec one. All looks good and works just like before. No differences.

Unlocked P6 with Verizon sim just took OTA. 40.61mb
Up and running on T-mobile.
Unlocked UK didn't get December ota

Just sideloaded the OTA from the OP's link in post #1 the only version available at time of writing this.
December OTA - January OTA
Installed with no issues, rebooted fine & back up and running in no time.
The only real issue I experienced was if I lost mobile data signal, the phone wouldn't reconnect once I was back in range, meaning I had to manually toggle Aeroplane mode.
Hopefully the update fixes that problem.
I'm on December Image with disabled verification. I can update to January without disabling it? Do it wipe my store when I don't disable it? Thanks
Just got it pushed to me OTA on T-Mobile USA. I was already on the sideloaded Dec update. Only 40mb for me. Wife's phone still on the Nov update just got a 200mb version OTA. I guess T-Mobile has alot more confidence in this update than the December version.
