Hi guys,
My LG G5 glass screen recently got cracked and I'm planning to replace the whole LCD assembly.
My question is that, are all LG G5 replacement LCD assembly the same and are compatible to all? Mine is a LG G5 H860.
I'm looking all over the internet and different versions of G5s are popping, i don't know which one to buy.
Please help me.
Thank you!!
I also have the same issue, my H845 was cracked up and i need screen repacement, though it's pretty hard to find the exact screen model, is it okay to replace it with H850 screen?

I've replaced 2 lg g3 screens and digitizer all in ones, and it's super easy to do, but always bought original LG parts.
So only thing I can contibute is that as far as the skill level needed to do the job.....if I can easily do it, trust me...anyone can...takes 10 mins max.
Matt.
I own a phone repair company and I'm happy to put you in touch with our suppliers but I need to know a few things...
Price range you're looking at paying (roughly) and where do you live?
Thank you !!!!
I'm looking at 70 euro range .... I'm living in France
Thanks again
I've replaced mine with one that the seller claimed was OEM quality. That was a lie : the screen had an ugly yellow tone, so I got fully refunded for false advertising. I then bought one from a store on ebay who has orginial LG parts and that was perfect. They have a website : http://recoverymobile.es/repuestos-...-g3-con-marco-gold-dorada-original-nueva.html
Ok thanks
65 euro only the grey one !!!

How is the quality ? no pressure halo when you touch the screen ? Do you think is truly original parts ?
Thanks
Only shippment in Espania ...
I Just bought this one:
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/201588026758
Ordered friday and received 2 hours ago.
Seems quitte good, no strange color, White is White, digitizer has a synaptics chip.
Have to test more but glue takes time to dry correctly...

Hi. I am Thinking to replace my LG G3 LS990 digitizer only. Could you please help me how to do it? First of all, is replacing the digitizer glass only possible without replacing whole Lcd??
Hi everyone,
I am using LG G3 Sprint LS990 shine gold model mobile.
My mobile display has been cracked and touch functionality is working very fine.
I am searching for top touch screen only, not for LCD.
Can anyone tell me the exact model number of touch screen for my LS990 sprint model.
So that I can order online.
Thank you very much in advance.

You will need a heat gun and go VERY slow to avoid damaging the LCD.
Hello
I have problem with my lg g5
I have ghost touch in lcd
My question this problem in all g5 or not
And how can slove this or must replace lcd
When you said, ghost touch did you mean screen display retention (Image Burning after effect).
If so then it's common for LG G5 and you just can't fix it.

Common for almost all devices. It is also said that LG manufactured some units without that malfunction but there battery time was terrible.
Hi guys,
My screen cracked yesterday and I went to a repair shop to get the screen replaced. I have the phone now and the screen looks OK and I can't really see any issues with it. But I read everywhere on how common it is that the replacement screen is not an original one, that it is a copy or something like that. I asked the repair shop if the screen was original and they said yes, but I thought, why would they say no?
How can I really check that the screen is a OEM, without me having to take the screen apart again. Is there some kind of software on Android or PC that can detect and read what kind of display it is, or how should I do?
I downloaded CPU-Z and other similar apps that gives you all kind of device information and in there they all say that it is a original display with the same specs as it should be. But i'm thinking that that information probably is just hardcoded information, and it doesn't really communicate with the display in realtime, if you understand what I mean.
Anyhow, how do you suggest that I confirm this? The price was not too cheap or so, the screen+repair cost me $260.
Thank you!

What other OLED displays for this exact same dimensions would there be?
Are you afraid it's an LCD display or something?
You are right that apps tell you what the display SHOULD be, based on the model number.
But if it's an OLED display, I don't see how it's not an LG V30. Some other manufacturer would have to be making OLED displays in the first place, and then cutting them to to fit the V30. I guess they could do that, but seems strange.

Yes, I'm sure that the new screen is built for V30, but maybe it is a lower quality screen. That's my main concern.

You're ignoring my question. Who would manufacture such an OLED display that would exactly for the LG v30?
As long as you're sure it's not some crappy off brand LCD display, it almost has to be original LG OELD display. Or do you not understand?
Do you think they put in a Samsung OLED display?

I did encounter a fake xiaomi mi2 replacement display, but it was an lcd one (and the problem was the cheap plastic cover instead of glass). With oled - not so likely.

Sorry, did not see your edit. No I understand that. Maybe a dumb question, but how do I know that it isn't a LCD display? Would I have noticed it right away?
I tried some UHD videos on youtube to see how the black level is and it was really great. Why I ask, is that I called a certified official LG repair shop and explained this to them as well. And he said that even if the screen looks OK it could still be a fake one.
That's where I got confused and wasn't really sure about this. Maybe he just wanted me to buy it from them instead, not sure.

I think the LG shop was speaking in general, but his answer would apply to older LG phones that used LCD display. There are tons of LCD manufacturers who would supply off brand parts for LG phones.
There are not many OLED display manufacturers. LG and Samsung are the main ones.

Hello,
My ZUK Z2 fell from a small height and the touch screen has the usual issue that works only for 2 sec after unlocking.
Can you suggest where to get a new Screen-Digitizer asembly; I wan a genuine one or one that is the closest possible to genuine. I have heard stories that some screens from aliexpress do not support multitouch and the LCD colors are off.
Can you suggest anything tested that ships to EU? (Greece).
Thank you
No one has ever changes a screen in this phone? Come on guys! Don't be shy! ;-)
