OK I need some help from some of you experts..
I have been able to download and install the netflix 1.40 apk file on to my Android 2.3 x86 device using virtual box. However when it starts it crashes right away giving me the error seen in the link below
http://attachments.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=719861&d=1316031138
All the builds of vlc (the two from google play and the nightly from android x86 on the vlc site) fail with the following error message
X86 build on non x86 device.
Which is odd because the a1-840fhd is definitely an Intel device.
Interesting cpu-z correctly indentifies the SOC as being a quad core intel but on the system tab gives the board as baylake but the kernel architecture as armv7
Any idea what's going on is the Acer kernel emulating the armv7 so that vlc can't access the x86 code.
Update the nightly android-armv7 build will install and run it will play mp3 files but fails with a serious error when a video file is tried.
The nightly VLC-debug-20150129-0104.apk armv7 build works! Presumably using emulated arm instructions.
When Remix OS Beta launched a day ago, i tried installing to my hard drive and get this:
Code:
find --set-root --ignore-floppies /menu.lst
error 15:File Not Found
Press any key to continue . . .
My PC Specs are:
HP Pavilion G7-1338DX
Intel Core i3-2350M (2nd gen Sandy Bridge)
8 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 3000
Windows 8.1 Pro
If possible, please find a method to fix. I really enjoyed Remix OS until this happened. And I don't want it installed on my flash drive because of it's speeds.
I use the old USB installation method with new beta .ISO on USB flash drive and copy to hard-disk .then Use easyBCD to add remix boot menu... Work fine now.
Hello. I successfully installed RemixOS on my PC (Dualboot with Win10). It even starts, but gives me the black screen (with the mouse pointer I can move) after the "Choose your language" screen. Any ideas?
My config is:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450
4 GB RAM, DDR2
Geforce GTX660
Two monitors
Try Remix OS 3.0.102 32bit version
I guess that you tested the Remix OS 3.0.102 64bit version only. Try the 32bit version - may be that it will work correctly. Others have had the same problem which you described using the 64bit version - see link.

I installed the 32-bit version, and it doesn't even appear in boot menu.
I have the same problem ... Any one know How to solve it?
Sent from my ONE E1003 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Exact same problem here. Installed it tonight alongside Win10 and can only get as far as the OP described.
When I press some random keys on the keyboard after waiting I get a message that says Jide Setup Wizard isn't responding and asks me if I want to wait or click OK. When I wait it just returns to a black screen for an eternity or when OK is clicks it cycles through the language select option and just hangs again.
So annoying, I was REALLY looking forward to having android on my desktop
The same problem with 64bit version for my x200, but the 32bit is no problem.
Hello,
I downloaded Android x86 from the official site on my laptop and install unfortunately I have a problem when I download and
install pubg the app doesn't work, it doesn't even start the app. What could be the problem? Have not changed anything so far,
only activated the arm function under the setting on android x86.
Thank you
