I'm looking for a case, which would be compatible with Ultimate Shield tampered glass screen protector. Currently I have Galaxy S7 Spigen [Ultra Hybrid] AIR CUSHION [Crystal Clear], but it has bumped up screen protector unfortunately. I know that original Samsung Galaxy S7 Clear Cover Case (EF-QG930CBEGWW) is fully compatible, but I have seen quite some negative reviews on it. Any other other recommendations?

Do you have a tempered glass screen protector on your s7
I have been satisfied with Ringke Fusion. There is a bit more space for glass screen protector than with UAG. At least my UAG tends to push out the glass screen protector.

My Ultimate Shield and my UAG were not compatible, it didn't take long for the edges to get lifted.

I had one of the glass ones that doesn't cover the whole screen and it was OK but dust got under the exposed edge. I have the ID Shield Liquid Skin on for the last 4 months, while I don't feel as protected there is no loss of sensitivity. Galaxy S7 Screen Protector, IQ Shield LiQuidSkin (2-Pack Case Friendly) Full Coverage Screen Protector for Galaxy S7 HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FL4AVIA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_JcELybCPQPJE4
One thing to note on any screen protector is if you use the Gear VR it can not go above the ear piece on top or home button on the bottom. I trimmed my IQ Shield protector and no issues.

how well does stylus work with screen protectors, anyone had good/bad experience?
I am looking at buying anti glare one
i understand that there is 'increase touch sensitivity' mode in settings that can also help?
Well all are bad after time, I mean the pen doesn't slide good and that's why I use tempered glass.

I have a mime feather tempered glass and the s pen works just like nothing is there. I'd assume any of the tempered glass covers get the same results.

i have seen these tempered glass on sale but they all look chunky, are they really much noticeable in terms of weight and thickness?
looks like i might have to get one since i do want to use stylus with no issues
I've got the iloome Flex and love it. Only about .12 mm thick compared to most tempered glass protectors that are around .40-.60mm thick. Zero effect on stylus

looks good on amazon.co.uk
does it have anti glare? thats would totally sell to me
Considering that witht the seperate s pen digitizer you can use your pen juat aboce without touching screen protector should have zero effect on it.

I'm using an Anker Xtreme Scratch Defender screen protector and am having no problems with the s pen.
No Worries...
I use amzer shatterproof screen protector on my N3 and am also using the stylus from a quite long time and I have not faced any problem in using it...its working smooth and fine...yes tempered glass screen protector works well but I would say my screen protector is also working really well...
Don't worry about what screen protector you get (except the real rubbery ones/wet apps) whether it be tempered glass or pet when it comes to the s-pen. Get the one you want, try the s-pen out and if it's too sticky replace the tip with the plastic tips included with your phone. The one that's installed out of the box is the rubber tip so it'll stick to pet more and function better with tg. The plastic tip slid easily on both. Personally I liked the rubber on tg because the resistance reminds me of actually writing with a pencil.
You have to look very carefully at the tip of the replacements and you should see a difference between some of them. I believe 3 rubber ones and 2 plastic ones are included in the replacement tips.
My personal recommendation (I've tried the spigen tr, spigen ultraclear pet, 8 dollar ebay TG, and Nillkin H+) is the Nillkin H+ which is about $16 if I remember correctly. Perfect tempered glass screen protector and the price is significantly lower than spigen and iloome(except flex).
Edit: and you shouldn't worry about using increased sensitivity or anything, I personally haven't heard of a case where the screen protector has caused issues.

Ya a normal PET one will usually do the trick, but on such a beautiful screen the smudge marks which gather more on PET just ruined it for me, not to mention the tackyness. If you ever want to treat yourself pick up this guy (included UK link for you),

I'm using the mime feather light and it's amazing .smoother then stock imo.
The S-Pen does not use the capacitive digitizer and "Increase Touch Sensitivity" will do nothing. If you read up on the way the Wacom digitizer for the S-Pen works, you will see that the digitizer tracks the S-Pen's location above it and S-Pen itself is what signals when contact was made and how much pressure was applied, so the thickness of the glass doesn't matter as long as it is in range of the Wacom digitizer (where the pointer is visible).
I use the crystal clear from spigen and changed the tip of s-pen to plastic one and it works flawlessly.

I've done with defenders on 4 different phones, not on the G3, but just try to find a screen protector that only covers the screen and not the bezels to make it easier.

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but I'm using an iCarez 0.2mm tempered glass screen protector (9H hardness) with a Cruizerlite BugDroid TPU case without issue. Screen protector and care do not interfere with one another despite the screen protector extending to the edges of the glass.

I'm guessing you'd recommend a 0.2mm over the 0.3mm
Even with just a 0.2mm iCarez in place sometimes I get missed touches, particularly while playing Ingress and towards the top of the screen. The 0.4mm glass Verizon sells has been reported to cause real bad touchscreen issues. I think the 0.3 ones are fine, but since 0.2mm is available and just as protective, why not go for the thinner one ?

I am looking for one as I have a dbrand skin on my phone (they are great ), most screen protectors are mostly for the whole front part.
Buy a normal screen protector and cut it how you want
I've been looking for one as well, for the same reason. No luck so far. Slickwraps usually include such a screen protector with their orders, but I've no idea how it would perform on our "2.5D" screen. It's also probably not worth ordering a set of skins just for the very average PET film.

The edges won't stick, you'll get a "halo" effect, dust will get in, etc.
You *could* try something from Skinomi, though. I know their wet-apply protectors stick really well on curved glass (I swore by it back in my HTC One X days). You could either try to cut it down to size, if you have such precise tools, or even just stick the whole thing over your skin, it'll probably be fine. Plus you get protection for your nice skin.
I am in the same boat. I'm getting a skin for mine and want to still be able to protect my screen.
Yesterday I received i-croo full screen protector and I think it's the best protection available today. This type of PET must be combined with proper case like Ringke Slim to avoid peeling on edges.

We are looking to cover just the screen though. Not the entire front. We have skins that cover everything on the front but the screen.
Put on a full coverage screen protector.
A wet install one would work the best.
If not a wet install, one like the Spigen Curved Crystal is excellent.
Then apply the front skin directly on top of the protector.
I did this for a while and it worked perfectly with the Spigen Curved Crystal.
The skin actually stuck well to the protector, and the corner cutouts of the protector allow the skin to stick to the screen directly and hold the protector down better.
Here is the amazon link for the Spigen protector, only $8.99 for a 2 pack right now.

I had considered that. Obviously it would stick to a glass protector, but any experience with applying a skin to a wet apply protector? I only ask because I'm not sure I'm sold on using a glass one on the curved screen. Also, thanks for the link!

The glass protectors for the S7 Edge are ALL horrible, do not use them.
The Spigen Curved Crystal is a curved PET protector, it actually fits the phones really well.
There was some problems with the initial batch of protectors but that has been fixed and now they are perfect.

Over the Spigen protector?
That is exactly what I was saying to do, it works perfectly.
I don't understand how glass screen protectors can possibly work. Do you lose screen sensitivity?
Can anybody recommend a few good film (non-glass) screen protectors that will be excellent for the S7?
Thanks.
I bought Spigen but it has not arrived yet.

The Spigen curved crystal HD is a bit of a disappointment. Hard to complain for the price (9 bucks for two) but it scratches easily. By the time you're done squeegy-ing it during the install it's full of scratches and looks like hell, especially when off or with the AOD. I guess that's going to be an issue with plastic protectors. I never tried a glass one. Maybe now I will.
you can try clear coat with lifetime warranty
i use original type...screen sensitivity working great.

Has anyone had better luck than I at finding a case and screen protector, preferably one with a matte finish, that work well together on the S7 (non-edge)? I generally use Spigen cases as they are slim and slightly wrap around the front of the phone. However, this caused my first two screen protectors (both plastic) to bubble up around the edges and eventually peel off. The best was the Skinomi but it only lasted a few weeks longer than the first one I tried.
From reviewing most threads it looks like most people have either went the route of either a) skin + screen protectors or b) case + no screen protectors on their S7 due to slightly curved nature of the screen. But being as it's now September, I was hoping there would have been some better options to fully protect the phone. I'm hoping to hear if anyone has found a good combo.
Thanks in advance.

Has anyone found any matte screen protector that works with ANY s7 case?
No luck? I just put a Spigen Neo-Hybrid and immediately the BSE cover bubbled up.
The Tech21 matte screen protector works with my Tech21 cases, which have quite a lip, so I assume it'll fit other rugged cases too.

I paid £16 for mine here in the UK off ebay. They are very pricey but I am very happy with it. The anti glare makes such a huge difference. Equally it does feel like it will last.
The tactical case I got seems very rare to source here in the UK as well from anywhere other than tech 21. Ended up paying £30 for that!
